Safeco Insurance Reviews

My experience with Andy Bilbrey Jr of Lubbock TX has got to be the worst I've ever had with any adjuster. It's one thing to try as least as possible - I get it... That is their job - but to try to Bully me into not pursuing the funds that are due to me and threaten to file frivolous law suit charges because I said I would just let my attorney handle it... KINDLY AND RESPECTFULLY NONETHELESS... because I truly don't understand the insurance world, is TOTALLY out of line. I've never seen or heard anything like this!!! I Google him and found that this a common practice for him. If you see or hear Andy Bilbrey Jr of Lubbock TX is coming to meet you, DO NOT SPEAK TO HIM WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY PRESENT! He will screw you over royally! Here are a few other links I've found on him. safeco-insurance.pissedconsumer.com/andy-bilbrey-jr-lubbock-tx-adjuster-201805201260490. safeco-insurance.pissedconsumer.com/threatened-to-sue-me-for-a-frivolous-lawsuit-if-i-pursued-them-for-diminished-value-20150811681145.html safeco-insurance.pissedconsumer.com/review.html 1topinsurance.com/safeco-insurance-bbb/ protectyourcar.tk/global-insurance/safeco-insurance-reviews-homeowners/ usinsuranceagents.com/reviews/safeco/

Andy Bilbrey Jr Lubbock TX

Dealt with Andy Bilbrey Jr of Lubbock myself. Worked with him. The guy is a snake. Wouldn’t keep him in my company if you put a gun to my head.

I made my normal payment. When I checked my bank account later that day I noticed that the payment had already gone through and been approved but there was also a pre-authorization for the same amount approximately $120. I contacted the bank to find out what was going on to make sure that a charge hadn't been run through twice. The bank told me that chances are it was a pre-authorization and that I would have to contact the insurance company to get them to lift it off or it would disappear in 3 days. Unfortunately I don't have $120 for someone to hold onto for 3 days. And they had never done a pre-authorization like this before not even for a dollar. So I contact the insurance company. I end up getting disconnected twice, having to speak to at least three different people, and having to give the same information over and over again. Ultimately they told me that it was the bank that would have to release the pre-authorization. They were very Unapologetic about it. And I told them okay we have a problem here because one group is telling me it's you and now you're telling me it's them and I'm not going to play this game.So the next step of course is to contact the bank and find out what's going on.

The bank said that the insurance company would have to submit a pre-authorization release form. I found it strange that all three people that I talk to you about the situation at the insurance company never mentioned anything about a pre-authorization release form. So my bank was nice enough to actually provide customer service and contact the insurance company while I was on the line. In the end the bank ended up giving me the money back and they did it without getting the authorization of the Safeco Insurance Company. What it turned out to be was Safeco head run a second charge through by mistake. This was their error and they were responsible for fixing it but they refuse to do it because unfortunately their accounting department had already gone home for the evening. It's obvious that someone didn't want to take the time to do what they need to do to actually look into the situation and take care of one of their. As a matter of fact they used a deflecting tactic by telling me I would have to contact my independent agent directly with any billing questions. I found that odd since I pay Safeco directly through the Safeco website and my insurance agent's name is in anywhere in there.

I'll be going to see my car insurance guy tomorrow and I'm going to talk to him about getting a new homeowner policy through them. I've been with this company now for over 8 years and I've been anything but impressed.

Safeco Insurance has been a nightmare to deal with for two years! We paid them some $1200 to insure our property when we moved into it 2 years ago and we later found out that they insured our previous property for a whole yeat but not this one. So we had had a fire or flooding etc in this current property we would have had a massive mess on our hands. We called them and said we need to terminate the contract with them and they said yes but they would not reimburse us/ Meanwhile we had to pay extra monies to the new insurance as it showed that we were not insured for a whole year on this property. So now, they cost us extra money with the new property - needless to say our mortgage company was very displeased as we had no insurance on this property through no fault of our own. The following year, they still took another $1200 or so from our account without us knowing. We fought to get it back and we couldn't. We gave up and let it go. Though we paid for 2 home insurances at once. Today, we had a call from a lawyer saying that we owe them an extra $120 and thatif we did not pay it they will filed a judgement against which will be in the region of $700-800. We are tired of fighting this company! Very unprofessional, manipulative and down right thieves!

I filed my claim nearly three weeks ago and still have not received the payment from them. They said they sent the payment for the damage to my car to the shop but the shop held my car for more than a week since they did not receive the payment. It also took them more than a week to even send the insurance adjuster to the shop. Finally, I had to pay out of pocket until they send the payment to me. I have not seen a ruder or less helpful customer service. I don't know I would have felt if I was the insurance agent. Not only they are not helpful, they make sure that you understand they have absolutely no interest or intention to help you. Also, first auto policy that did not cover rental cars while I did not have my car. Absolutely dreadful. They are worthless. Companies like these should not be allowed to operate.

Safeco has been charging me an inflated premium on the basis of a covered patio, a covered front porch, and a picture window that do NOT EXIST. Customer service refuses to correct the errors. They only gives me ridiculous excuses to bolster their argument that I should pay for what does not exist and would not be replaced by insurance if the house were destoyed. I want incorrect information about my property in shared databases--used by other insurers--to be corrected and overcharges of premium to be refunded to me.

Safeco needs to correct their information with a report written on August 18, 2015, by the inspector David Cox, of Mueller Reports. David Cox demonstrates that I do not have a covered patio, covered porch or picture window. My cement front steps leading to the front door do not have a roof and are not a covered porch or patio. The front steps are not attached to the house and would not be destroyed by a fire or tornado.

NOBODY LISTENS OR DEALS WITH THE PROBLEM SAFECO CREATED. THEY ONLY WANT THE EXTRA MONEY. THEY WANT ME TO PROVE THEY ARE WRONG. I AM AN IDIOT IF I STAY WITH THIS COMPANY!
