We did not start out with Safe Security, we were orignially with anoter company that we were happy with and then apparently Safe Security bought them out. We got a phone call, never a paper contract saying the company had bought out and we were never told that our contract would automatically renew at the time we our equipment installed from the other company, which was in July, and we have been stuck paying this company ever since. Their equipment isn't even in our home anymore and their station doesn't even monitor our home!

I have been told that a phone call isn't good enough to cancel the contract and so I have sent in a series of letters asking them to cancel the contract. First they say the have received them and then they say there is no record of them; it is the same issue with my phone calls. This company has to be run by people who have no idea what they are doing!

I will try again to send letters of cancellation each month, starting with this month of March 2018 and continue until June of 2018 since I have been told they need 30 days from the renewal date of our contract to "cancel" it. I've heard this same song and dance four times before and still nothing has happened. Why it has to be 30 days before the contract I do not know. After all, if I send in a letter 90, 120, 180 days before the contract that should be good enough, right?

If anyone wants to do a class action suit against this company, I would be more than happy to join. I think I will contact my States Attorney General next about this matter because I'm sure I'm not the only one in the State of Virginia to be upset with this company.

This "Rob" and a tech showed up at her door and despite my Mom's objections and explaination that she was on her way out to meet friends, they ignored her objection and went about explaining that due to some technical issue thay had to upgrade the equipment..and that it would only take a few minutes.

It took two hours and she missed her time with friends. They removed her Guardian equipment and replaced it with Safe Security equipment. They provided no business card, no paperwork or contract of any kind. She has a leaflet with their logo and your BBB logo claiming a rating of A+..

they wrote down two service numbers. My Mom, didn't understand what was happening until it was completed. They apparently have us under a five year contract. We have been attempting to cancel whatever the terms my be and are having difficulty in getting a reply to our request to terminate. The first request was made in less than 24 hours. My sister called "Rob" at 801-669-7779 and explained our greivance and he was biligerant and told my sister that my Mother is a liar!!!

I hope to resolve this issue without further trouble. My Mom was made to feel victomized knowing that these people entered her home under false pretenses.

If you have a system with them---cancel immediately!!

They are ripping you off!

My system went out at 11 PM waking the whole family up with a loud alarm which I finally got shut off and the system said it needed a battery. I called the next day to see how to get a new battery or change out the old one and was told somebody would call back to make an appointmnet for service. No one ever called.---NEVER.

I got a new system from another company for $100 (AT&T) who has a good reputation and their system is reliable, have had no problems.

OVER A MONTH LATER somebody from Safe Security called back offering to REPLACE my systm for $500!! when all it needed was a battery. They refused to change out the battery and said I nededed a new systm for $500. I hung up on them.

Then they wanted to charge me for the reset of the contract which I called the BBB and State Attorney general about. They did nothing.

They 4 months later they send a letter saying I "recently had a service call" wanting me to rate the service call!! These idiots don't know the systm went out almost a half year ago and I NEVER HAD A SERVICE CALL!!!

If you want to cancel with them you have to send a registered letter 6 months before the contract is up. That way you have proof they got it and they can't say you didn't as you will have the return receipt postcard.

If you have this company and have payments coming out of your bank account stop them immediately!! Send checks as that way they can't say you didn't cancel your contact and keep taking money out. Otherwise you will have to cancel your checking account or credit card to get it to stop.

This is a piss poor example of a business and they are doing nothing but making money and providing no service. Their monitoring leaves a lot to be desired. You will see examples on the internet all over the place of people they hae pissed off and are doing nothing but taking their money.

They are not doing anything but ripping you off. Cancel your service immediately!! If they try to get you to pay the rest of your contract wait till it goes to collections. That way the collection agency will get at leat half of the payment and they will only get half or less or your money!!!

I called to discontinue my services after 10 years of using this security monitoring service. They did not stop the services. They wanted to inquire if the new residents would be interested in the service. I gave them their contact information, but informed the customer rep i did not know the new tenants wishes. The new tenants did not want the service after they contacted the family. I was informed becasue they didn't want the service i was responsible for it although i have live in home for over a year and the new family has not used the service still they moved in. I was sent a $505 bill one year of service. I refused to pay the bill and was told i would be sent to a collection agency. One year after my first call, i called the company to once again to inquiry after i received a bill in the maill. At the time i was told my disconnect of my service had to be in the form of letter. No one ever explained the precedures to me just that it was in my contract and i had signed the contact over 10 years prior to me discontinuing the service. During this call i was told the policy is that i have a three year contact and i must pay the bill and after the three years, then it becomes a year to year contract. I told the most rude account manager, dana pope, that i had the service for 10 years she changed the reason again why i am responsible. I stated i would contact the bbb and she hung up the phone despite my demands to speak to a supervisor. I called the company repeatedly and was sent to voice mail. Finally, i spoke to annette and lupe from another department who were professional but was not helpful and gave me no assitance; however, they would transfer my complaint to the same department who showed unprofessional and lack of customer service, the collection department. This was the worse experience with a company i have ever had to encounter. I was not given all the details and now they want me to be responsible for a bill eventhough i asked for the service to be disconnected.
