Ron Carter Hyundai Reviews

Approved online. Went to dealer and got the nine line runaround. Ended up signing paperwork for a payment that was $120 more a month than I had originally budgeted. Let me drive car for 2 weeks and then said I needed to come in and "Resign paperwork" whereupon they effectively repossessed the car on the spot with no notice. What a joke. I will NEVER do business with any Ron Carter affiliated dealership again and will bring their tactics to light on any Media platform that will listen.

We had a terrible experience when buying our car. That is over, but just had a terrible experience with the service department too. Over the course of many many months their service department failed to discover the cause of the car burning inordinate amounts of oil on long road trips. We started an oil consumption test, which didn't show loss of oil with in-town driving, we were given the go-ahead to make a long road trip and continue the oil consumption test along the way. We were eventually stranded in a different state because the car was burning 1-2 quarts of oil every few hundred miles. We couldn't drive on, we couldn't turn around.

We had to leave the car at the local dealership, rent a car to get to our destination, and hope for the best. Turns out, the fix was a failing pcv valve which was stuck open that our dealership just never checked on. Quick fix, but now we have car rental bills because of someone's lack of care. Disappointed in Ron Carter Hyundai service people. Also, looks like our claim for reimbursement was opened and closed on the same day. Still need to find out what the service department actually submitted. Hyundai should be responsible for the cost of rental car since we were given the go-ahead to travel while doing an oil consumption test. Car was not driveable and needed to be fixed.

Buying Car with my 20 yr old daughter. web price last saturday advertised for 2018 sonata new, 16,007. called and alicia said yes come on down. I said live 12 hours round trip away, looking at next saturday (12 9 2017). Tuesday my daughter made fun of me saying I was fooled as a local dealer sales man told her not true.

Tuesday I called Alicia and she sent me an email saying it is correct and additional discounts will be applied locally like veteran and student. Tuesday evening I saw price say 15507 on internet. Stephen sent me an email to check in and ask for him when arrived.

At front desk, I was told Alicia works in rear on phones and as Stephen wasnt available, Paul told me he was going to help. Test drove vehicle. came back. registered for prizes at front desk. sat down.

I told Paul as filling out papers price is at least 16007 plus military discount and maybe plus student graduate. he came back with papers and said car is 21k. I was very unhappy. a sales manager came by and talked with my daughter and I. between them they said wrong price on internet. we have to make money. and Paul had said alicia should not have sent that email.

I left very unhappy. There was no $50 for the test drive. there was no 250 gift cards. no prizes won. as advertised. Went to another dealership and bought the same car for 19600 without being lied to. the 15507 minus 500 military discount, 400 graduate discount should have been 14607. I bought it the same day for 5k more at another dealership where I was treated fairly and tried to get the lowest price from them.

The vehicle which is a 2013 Cadillac CTS being advertised for $19,988 . I have the proof showing the vin number and picture. The sale rep For that dealership seemed honestly and everything but behind it all was a mistake . He is actually was my friend but not after this i can't trust him not after this. The monthly payments where being determined it came down to $453 a month in the end with the financing officer offering all these other add on . I don't know how they did it but I was Financed it was a scam I could only use $500 in credit card and $2000 in cash. Which I had to come another day but they would hold on my paperwork until my deposit was completed. I finally got my paperwork and no where near did it even show the advertisement online . The numbers where definitely changed on me im very surprised that I was approved and also for the amount of $36,000

I purchased vehicle from the dealership. The vehicle had 80,000 plus miles. The finance person advised me that the extended warranty was out for the vehicle he told me it would be wise to purchase a 2 year extended warranty. He told I would have to worry about any repairs for 2 years. He added I would have a car loaner if my car needed repairs. Moreover, they would also give me oil changes during that time. Now it’s about 9 months later. The check engine light comes on. Two days after the check engine a light comes on I hear a loud sound coming from under the engine. I take my car in the same next day. I explained to the service person I am payed for an extended warranty and I wanted my car fix. The flowing day I get a phone call explaining to me that the warranty was 2 years or 100,000 miles and I was a little over the miles. I explained to her no the finance person told me 2 year he never mentioned the 100,000 miles. I added why I would pay over $2,000 for 20, 00 miles of warranty. She replied I saw the car had a lot of miles. She stated she would get management to call me. I called the manager of used sells, finance manager and serval other managers no one returned my call. Fast forward 5 weeks after calling and leaving messages the service person called and asked if anyone returned my phone calls. They had not. She replied she would try to talk to someone and call me back. She called and stated the person stated it’s nothing he could do. No mangers took the time to call me back. The vehicle is $200.00 to fix. I never felt so ripped off in my life. Once the deal was made and they got my money. That was it. I am no longer a valued customer.

On the Saturday following Christmas Ron Carter I was looking at buying a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and did a little research and found one at a good price at Ron Carter Hyundai. They actually called me as a result of some of my online research. I found the vehicle I was interested in on their website and it had a sales price advertised online. I asked if I could buy the car at that price and they assured me that I could. I asked again saying I didn't want to come down there if I couldn't by it at the advertised price. Again they tell me I can buy it at that price.

Bottom line is I went down there a waisted a ton of time while they tried to find the car. It literally took them over two hours to find the car. I test drove it and and said I would take it and I again made sure we were in agreement on the price. After almost another hour they come back with a detailed price on the car they want me to sign and it is over $5,000 more than the price. It was so annoying that I told them I couldn't do busineess with people that operate under these kinds of deceptive practices and left.
