This company is the worst! They sent me the incorrect part and to add insult to injury, they want me to pay for the shipping back to them! Unbelievable! This is for my work van and now the back door will have no latch because they did not send the right part! JUST AS BAD AS THAT- THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR SHIPPING BACK and THEY DO NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM WITH- It Must BE Done Strictly By Internet! Horrible Company! It USED TO BE GOOD- NO LONGER A GOOD COMPANY FOR ME TO DO ANY BUYING FROM!

I purchased a Four Seasons A/C compressor for my 2007 Ford Focus 2.0, installed all parts that are recommended and required for a warranty incase there is failure of the compressor, the only thing I did not do is an a/c flush which does specify in the warranty that if you fail to do this they will not honor the warranty if the part "fails". So after the mechanics recharged the system and said I was good to go, I discovered only miles down the road that my compressor was flinging oil all over the place.

The mechanics looked at it and said it was because the front seal on the clutch was bad, and that there was nothing I could of done to prevent it. I replacd my a/c system out of convenience before the hot AZ summer hit and while I had the money. My previous compressor was working fine, but I have a lot of miles on my car so I wanted to take care of it. So now I have a compressor that did not fail, but has parts that were wrongly put together and the worst part is that Rock Auto will not accept a return and says that four seasons will not honor the warranty, even though the part itself was not even put together correctly.

Nothing I could have done would have prevented this issue, the seal was wrongly put in, and they take no responsibility for this. The customer service was terrible, they lied to me about having someone call me back within the day, and had very shady attitudes (I spoke to two diffrent representatives). I would not recommend anyone purchasing from this company based on principle.

I hope people see this and as much as they would like to believe that most people have a genuine good nature, avoid purchasing from this company, trust me you do not want to take the gamble, although it is maybe unlikely that you will go through the same situation I did with a part maybe even much cheaper than a a/c compressor, you still do not want to be in a situation with this company where you need to return an item.

Goodluck to other readers and potential buyers of this company, I would go to a local auto parts store where you can atleast deal with someone face to face.

Rockauto products are poorly packed, handled and are often delivered with major cosmetic damage and or broken.

My major complaint with Rockauto was when I had submitted a warranty claim on an alternator that had less than 50 miles on it. Paid for shipping to get it my house and then had to pay shipping to send it back to Rockauto. The new alternator shipped to my house was damaged, the box was torn and the pulley was bent.

I called up and explained that I need the part over nighted due and that I all ready paid for the shipping twice I'm not paying for it again. They refused to accommodate me even after receiving two of the same broken parts saying that they can only ship it using the same shipping method as when I first bought the product. I dont think asking for overnight or even two day shipping would have been to much to ask for especially after spending literally thousands at Rockauto.

Rockauto's parts are cheap and so is their customer relations.

I got ripped off by this company both times I used them for parts. Once might just be a mistake. Twice, I think not. SHISTERS! Parts shipped are faulty and replaced with faulty parts after you pay the shipping over and over. At customer service, the female that answered the phone was polite until it was understood I had a complaint, her supervisor, Benjamin would not provide any information when he figured out I was writing to the Federal Trade Commission and repeatedly referred me to their return policy and hung up on me. I never imagined something like this would happen the day I bought that first part from this outfit. I finally just went to a real auto parts store and bought a real part

I recieved a broken fiberglass part in an undamaged plastic bag, flopping around inside of a cardboard box. The box was undamaged. This packaging does not meet their own requirements for return shipping.

Though we were at home at the time of delivery, we were unable to get from the kitchen to the front door(15')before the Fedex truck was driving away. Contacted Fedex. They said that they were "unable to get a signature". That they could not help me with damaged parts as Fedex has a " buy out" aggreement with rockauto.???

Rockauto requires you to open the package while the delivery driver is watching. Then report the damage , not to Fedex but to rockauto. Returns not in the original manufacturers packaging, and another outside box would not be considered for refund or replacement. A phone call to their customer service line confirmed the fine print on the website. No refunds without signature.

On their website there is an application for partial credit if you can fix the part self. After filling out the application , the A/I at rockauto decided that my repair was too costly. I asked them to credit me for $66.00 for the repair of a $59.00 part. The shipping cost was $34 each way. Something wrong with the computer over there. Seems like $136 in shipping outweighs the $66 repair bill.

I asked to be paid for 1 small fiberglass repair kit and 1 half hour labor @$66 per hour. Somehow just doesen't add up. Must be the new math.

After complaining on another site I recieved an Email from rockauto giving me permission to send the part back and they would pay the shipping and replace the part. IF upon inspection they decided it was in fact thier fault . Seems like the fox is in charge of the henhouse. By the way, the customers car is still sitting there waiting.
