Worst scam ever

Worst service ever. They always have an excuse to not pay for anything. If you have anyone look at your truck like TA or Love’s First BEWARE! They will not even pay for towing after that. They only pay a very small percentage of anything anyway. Put your dues in the bank instead, as you’ll be better off as the teeny tiny savings you get will be far less than the annual dues.

The last time we called roadsidemasters to change out a tire, the tire company gave us a better rate NOT to go through roadside master.

In addition to the above issues you are given local numbers and you have to call them yourself, some of which don’t have a discount and have no affiliation with them whatsoever.

Don't bother getting their service. Total waste of time and money.

We are a federally registered 501C3 Animal Rescue Charity. We have had several memberships with Roadside Masters for 2-3 years at $350 per membership. We currently have two memberships, one for our Customized Animal Transport Georgetown RV and another for our Animal Transport Chevy Box truck. We helped evacuate shelter animals from the Riverside shelter during one of the California fires on Thursday the 26 October 2017. While driving at night our two female drivers noticed a severe drop in power in the vehicle. They were hardly moving on a dark rural road. They called Roadside Masters for help and was told that because they were still moving (barely) they would not help them. The two female drivers and rescued 32 crated animals found a motel on the route about 12 miles to Los Banos, CA I called Roadside Masters on Friday 27 October in the morning to get a tow truck per our membership agreement. They said they could not find one.I spent the entire day with them on the phone. I changed tactics, in instead of towing the vehicle 300 plus miles to Los Angeles, I found a repair shop 12 miles away. We tried all day on Friday 27 October, no tow truck even to tow 12 miles. I had my drivers rent a van to take the rescued animals to a nearby shelter until we could get them to Oregon. I had permission of Carl's Jr. to leave the truck in the lot with signage as the truck would now not start. I had the motel hold on to the keys while I tried to get service from Roadside Masters. We tried Saturday, no tow truck. We tried Sunday, no tow truck. They promised to call me on Monday with news of a tow truck. No Call. I was told in one of the conversations that they would send me a reimbursement form if I found a tow. I did the local repair shop found me a tow. It's been well over ninety days now, multiple phone calls on my part to get the form and received nothing. You cannot get a supervisor on the phone. The last person, George the dispatcher called me and said the check is in the mail. I said how could that be? I did not send a reimbursement slip because I never received one. The people are a not providing any service. How to they advertise Nationwide Commercial truck towing service and not be able to provide tow truck or service in five days?. You do not know that until you try to use their services. In just 2017 this charity foundation is out for 2 memberships at $350 each and a tow costing $350. That's a total of $1,050 for 2017. This is shameful.

Save your money and don't sign up to this horrible roadside service when you purchase your truck! This company will provide any and every excuse to ensure they provide as little to no support while pocketing your hard earned money. The majority of the time, you will have to pay out of pocket to call another roadside service any way so there is really no point to sign up for an annual contract with these scammers.

This company can flag your account for what they call "excessive claims" and refuse to give you assistance even while you are still covered under contract. Regardless of if they even helped you on these previous so-called "excessive claims", they can still flag your account or even cancel your contract and not re-imburse your money. So, what this means is you can call them to file a claim for roadside assistance. They can deny the claim (hence not using any of their time, labor, or resources to help you while you are stranded). Then, punish you for even calling in the first place. What sense does that make?!!

The situation I'm describing has happened to me and countless others. All you have to do is google this company and you will find the complaints. I wish I had before signing up. Don't make the same mistake as I did! Don't pay attention to what is written on their website! All you have to do is read the back of the contract. All of the verbage that allows them to weasel out of helping you is in the very small, fine print!
