I contacted Mr. Ritchie about a divorce that my ex-wife filed. He said that his partner normally does the divorces in the office but assured that he would get the response filed since his partner would be out for the remainder of the week and my response deadline was in three days. I did an intake and paid the $4,000 retainer that was required only to received a motion for default in the mail from my wife's attorney within a couple of weeks. Mr. Ritchie had not entered his firm in the case or done ANYTHING else apparently, sonthe other attorney attempted to get a DEFAULT against me! To make matters worse, when I went down to the office to demand my money back, he had charged a ridiculous amount of money for the consult that he'd done with me! Terrible legal service!
