Daniel Bengston had been badgering and harassing us for a long time, randomly stopping in at our business, trying to get us to switch to his card processing company, Retriever Merchant Solutions. We were extremely satisfied with our current processor, and had been with them since 2003, having a personal relationship with our rep. We trusted her.

Daniel convinced us to give him a chance, and if he didn't save us money, we could cancel and go back to her, no harm no foul, he said. He promised no contract, no cancel fees, no annual fees, lower rates and no leases. EVERYTHING HE SAID WAS A LIE! He did not provide us with copies of the agreement prior to us signing, or during, or even after, when we continually asked him for them. He would promise to get it to us asap, and then we wouldn't hear from him.

We signed on 9.10.18. After our first statement and second statement, we called him and asked about a bunch of fees we didn't understand and debits coming from our bank account. He told us we were not supposed to be getting charged those fees and he would get us a refund. Never happened. He still never gave us copies.

We finally contacted the processor directly in January 2019 and got copies, and once we reviewed them, we realized why he didn't want to provide them to us: HE LIED ABOUT EVERY SINGLE THING HE PROMISED!!!! He even lied about the equipment, which he told us were 'rentals' and we could cancel anytime.

The documents showed they were non-cancelable lease agreements for 48 months!!! We immediately called our previous processor and got back on board with them, and once we were up and running with our terminals, we sent cancel letters via certified mail to the processor at both their legal address and the lease dept legal address.

The processor has been calling and harassing us, saying that in order to cancel the processing accounts, we have to sign their 'form'. Their 'form' states that we agree to a $375 cancel fee, which we don't and never did, so we are refusing to sign the forms. They have a written cancel letter from us with a full explanation. WE ARE NOT SIGNING THEIR FORM!!! They also tell us that the lease CANNOT BE CANCELED. But we are not paying it. Ever.

We blocked them from our bank accounts, and they may send it to collections, but we ARE NOT PAYING! Their rep lied and they should take responsibility for his actions on behalf of their company. We have done research on this company, and they have many complaints like this on their track record. They have also had many class action lawsuits against them, even under other names prior to 'Retriever'. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Our company utilitzed Merchant Services (Retriever) for our bank card transactions. Our contract ended June 2015. In March 2015, we decided a different merchant company would be better. We contacted Merchant Services who informed us that we were under contract until 6/2015. They told us we could pay a early termination fee. We decided that the Monthly Lease would be more realistic cost wise. We notified them per contract (30 days) that we wished to have our agreement terminated at the close of business the day our contract ended. (6/29/2015)..... They continued to charge our company the Lease of $ 60.23 monthly. December 2015 we again called and they finally cancelled our contract. We recieved our bank statement to find another month of the "lease" and an early termination fee........ Tho we cancelled it effective 6/29/2015, someone on their end did not cancel it. So, in turn, it automatically renews itself for another 2 years, without you having to sign anything; even tho we cancelled it before the "renewal". This company is a rip off artist. They tell you one thing, and charge you for another. What can make me satisfied with any resolution; my early termination fee refunded.

This a very common thing with Retriever Merchant Solution/Lease finance Group. They set me up with a system< I told salesperson if it wasnt right we would be done in a week. Wasnt able to even get ahold of him because he was working on his new home and golfing. So I was so upset with system and saleperson that I cancelled. He said OK but 1 month later they debiting my checking account. Because a "NON CANCELLABLE LEASE". You are unhappy with a product or service you take it back and get your money back.
