Resort Vacation International Inc Reviews

  • Dec 7, 2020

On August 21, 2019, I signed a contract with Resorts Vacation International to sell 4 additional timeshare weeks. To date, I've received 2 rounds of offers with no success. Additionally, the customer service is unacceptable. I have asked for a refund repeatedly. I have called multiple times.

On July 9, 2019 In was contacted by John Salvatore of ResortVacationInternational. Mr. Salvatore and myself entered into an agreement on behalf of the company that he represented. the agreement was that for a fee of $1,999. due every five years.

RVI would rent my Timeshare (4 units for $1,400/week) in 60-90 days, 180 days guaranteed. On September 26, 2019 I called ResortVacationInternational to find out what was going on with my account as I had not received any offers.

They claimed that they had called my house number to inform me that they had sent me an offer. My contact phone number of choice in the agreement was my cell phone number. At that time I was informed that they had sent me an offer.

There was no offer in my email inbox, an offer was found in my spam. The representative appologised for sending the email to my spam and assured me that I would receive more offers soon. After not hearing from RVI I contacted them on 12/24/2019. I spoke with Mr. Louis Daniels whon informed me that because of the conventions all offers were on hold and that they would be restarting pretty soon.

On January 6, 2020, I received an offer from RVI to which my timeshare had no availablity. Upon reaching the 180 day of the guarantee period I called RVI and again spoke with Mr. Daniels. I requested a refund since they had met their part of the agreement. Mr. Daniels was very rude and I requested to speak with a manager, he was unable to locate an available one and hung up the phone on me.

After not hearing from them I called back and spoke with Lindsey Taylor who tried to convince me that they would start sending out offers to me. I again requested to speak to a manager and after putting me on hold for 10 minutes she came back on the phone and claimed that she was the Customer Service Manager and she could not give me a refund.

My husband and I were targeted by this company for being RCI owners. We are new to the vacation club and received a call from RVI asking us to sell our exchange points. Not being famililar with how the points worked yet, we were under the impression they were affiliate with RCI. They told us that they had a company right now wanting to purchase for $1000 offer, and that for advertising we still had to pay $1600. And in turn within 60-90 days the offers would total around $4000.

I specifically asked if those offers did not come through in that time frame if we would be refunded our investment and was told that I would. Now nearly 180 days later, they will not refund and tell me the only way I can get my money back is an offer. The offer also requires me to seek resorts at random dates for random sized rooms through my RCI site. This was also not explained during their high pressure sales. If there is an attourney out there who can deal with scams like this company I would really like to know.

My experience with resort vacation international, inc. Aka/dba total resort solutions) is the virtually the same as other posters have written here. Their claims of "association" with rci is obviously intended to be deception. The only reason i signed their contract was because of the very smooth salesperson and because it had a 10-day cancellation clause Mandated by the state of florida). I was pretty sure it was a scam and confirmed my suspicions a couple of days later When i had time to research it). Thank you to this site for corroborating information!!

My best advice to anyone reading this is If not too late), exercise your right to cancel!! even though my first 2 cancellation e-mails to john s salvatore (License# tp37271) support@resortvacationsnow) went unanswered, i did get a non-descrip e-mail from "contract agent" a couple of days later, with an attached pdf showing my $1,999 charge was voided.

The contract pretty much has them covered for any recourse you might try to attempt after the 10-day period If they were not operating in florida, that probably would not even be there). They even tell you in the contract, "the ratio of the number of timeshare interest listings for sale versus the number of timeshare interests sold by resort vacation international is zero for each of the previous two calendar years." makes you wonder how they got the "testimonials" on their website from "satisfied customers"!! the zero sales matches perfectly with the complaints on this site.

Just like the joke about attorneys, 99% of timeshare companies give the other 1% a bad name.

The company guaranteed a return of $4000 for 4 timeshare weeks for a fee of $1500

They sent me an offer to rent my timeshare but upon application of the offer, it proved to be a false offer.
