I was searching for an honest individual to teach me about real estate investing when i came across Tim Herndon online. He came across as a very knowledgeable person who had been in the business for quite some time. Tim sounded very sincere in his breakdown of just how he would mentor me for three months with us doing at least three properties with a fee of 5k.
Well he told me i could break the payments up into the three months with me paying 2k for two months and the last month me paying 1500. The extra 500 going towards so called marketing. So i was mentored every Wednesday for an hour just like clock work with no problem. During the three month mentoring time i paid a additional 1300 & 980 for what was called marketing.
It was supposedly used for a mailing list to find investor with cash & to find vacant homes in a none traditional way. Suffice it to say that once he received all the money for the mentoring & marketing all the Wednesday mentoring came to a abrupt end. He started to make excuses about him having medical issues that lasted a couple of weeks to it being the Hoildays & us starting up the first of the year..
Our last actually mentoring took place on the 11th of Nov 2015. We never even got a chance to get into contacting the so called investors that i paid 1300 dollars for. So i totally lost all the way around and when i contacted Tim about what happen to the mentoring his only excuse is that he became extremely too busy.
I then asked him wasnt it only fair that he at least reimbursed me half of my money which i never received a response. So ive contacted the BBB to also file a complaint against Tim Herndon.
