My father-in-law purchased two of their travel packages July of 2016. Each travel package cost $3400. With each travel package you get a seven day cruise for 2 and 1week stay at a resort for 2 people. Unfortunately he passed away six months later. RCI travel will not refund your money plus if you do not use the packages within two years you lose the certificate. RCI did offer to buy back the resort package $1300 each but they make you buy another package for $3400. Plus it is not a refund it is money that they hold onto that you can use for hotel or airfare. When you do go to use the certificate they tax on a fees. They advertise it as a free seven week resort but it’s not. I want to inform people to watch out for the RCI travel packages. RCI travel packages take your money. You do not get the benefit that they claim.

RCI Pages This package was costing me more than $3000. It was for a Primium cruise which we did get to Hawaii, a regular cruise and a weeks resort vacation. when I went to get monies that I had to pay for things I was told that some of it was cancelled because it wasnt used by a certain date. Not told this when I was sold this. I did put in for a resort that was suppose to be free. I paid the tax on it. two weeks later I received an enail that I had to pay $172 for amenities.

this was never told me when I purchased the vacation. Since it was two weeks later I had the forfeit the vacation. (RCI gives you 48 hours to cancel. I have been on the phone with this company for over a two months to speak with a supervisor. The response is that they are always in a meeting. I finally spoke with customer service. they told me they would listen to the recorded conversation and get back to me. Never happened. companies like this make me lose my faith in dealing online. rci/packages.com

On november i was contacted by matt dowling from rci management with an offer to sell 3 weeks of time i had not used with my disney timeshare. Disney has some sort ofan rci for point at associated hotels around the world so i thought everything was legit. They already had all my information so after he told me it would take 30 days and that i would be receiving $2300.00 per week for the three wekks i had, i thought it was ok. The catch was that i would have to pay his company a fee of $1797.00 to complete the transaction. I thought that spending $1797..00 to get back $6900.00 was still a good deal so i agreed.

Matt sayed in constant communication untill the paperwork was completed and then... Nothing. I called him every week to chack on the progress and got the story that they were still looking for a buyer. I thought that strange because he initially told me that they already had a buyer and it would only take 30 days to complete the entire process.

Then he stopped answering my calls. I called a total of 23 times over the next 7 weeks and left multiple messages which were never returned.

I reviewed the paperwork and found an email address and sent a written complaint with no responce. I called another number listed on the forms he gave me and finally After several attempts) spoke with laurent jones in customer service. He assured me that there was some sort of mix up and that would straighted it out right away. I asked him to send me an email confermation of my problem. Well guess what? Never received it. Waited a few days and tried calling the customer service number that i called to speak to laurent jones and now no one answers, you can only leave a message.

I will now contact the better businees bureau to file a complaint.

I will also post on as many social media site as possible and warn others about this company.

I space banked 10000 points with RCI through Worldmark the Club. RCI charged me money for exchange service at the time of spacebank; charged money for the annual membership and search service. They never found one I wanted over a period of three years. Finally, I had to compromise to some resort just to avoid the expiry of the credits that I space banked with them. They charged me money again at the time of making final reservation. When we went to use the resort, it was in such a bad state, we were afraid to put even foot in that facility. When we called and complained, they agreed to return the credits to my account and help me make another reservation.

When we called to make another reservation, they are asking for more money for the exchange. They charged to the tune of $800 and more, never provided any service, charging money every year and every time we call them to make a reservation. It was really cheating. We can't even make a reservation on their website even 12 to 18 months before the travel and charging the money for the annual membership, extending the credits and exchange fee again and again.

It is mere cheating and extorting money from members and non-members.
