I made the mistake of hiring Knight Plumbing for a slab leak in front of my home at the end of December 2022. Christian came out and did not do a leak detection test. He gave me an inflated quote of $2400 to repair the leak, even though he didn't confirm anything. Because I was in a bind and didn't want to waste time getting the leak repaired, I hired Christian for the job.....biggest mistake of my life....
The next day, Christian came back out in a white pickup truck with South Dakota plates. Christian jackhammered my front patio and replaced about 2.5 feet of copper piping and wanted payment claiming his portion was completed and his concrete guys would come in three days to pour over the repaired pipe. Christian does not clean up and leaves all the broken concrete on my front porch creating a hazard and unsafe conditions for my family.
Lo' and behold, after he leaves, we discover there is still a leak. We text and text Christian who promises he will come back to fix the leak. All empty promises! My wife and I keep hounding him via text and he finally hires another company, American Leak Detection, to do a leak detection test. Come to find out, he's scamming them too because they're trying to get payment from him!
After weeks of texts back and forth of Christian promising to come back to fix things, I get a call from "Andy" who claims to be the owner. Andy apologizes for everything and swears he will take care of everything and I am a priority customer. It was all bullshit. Nothing ever happens. Andy claims he will refund me all my money to make things right but he never comes to give me the check as he promises. He then promises to Zelle me the cash but always comes up with an excuse when I don't receive the money. It's always one excuse after another and he went as low as telling me his mother died. It was all a lie.
On 1/19/23, after threatening to sue, Andy calls me and tells me he will meet me at the bank to refund me on 1/20/23. When I contact him on 1/20/23 asking for the meeting time, he tells ME to have some respect because he was burying his mom!! He disrespected my family and I for four weeks and then has the audacity to call ME disrespectful? This guy is full of it!!!
Andy never contacts me after that even after swearing and promising to meet me at the bank...
I started researching on my own and discovered the two numbers he used to contact me (714-844-9742 and 714-816-4064) are throw away numbers. Upon further detective work, my wife and I discovered that Christian has been conducting shady plumbing business from Boise, Idaho with Treasure Valley Plumbing! See their negative reviews! He's now in Socal continuing his scam business.
All in all, I have a demolished front porch with a leaking pipe and I'm out $2400. This was a hard lesson learned but I WILL find Christian and Andy and will sue them. My attorney has all the documents/photos needed to win our case and my private investigator has been following Christian to build our case.
If you hired Knight Plumbing, STOP ALL WORK and ask for their business license, takes pictures of everything, grab the license plates of the vehicles Christian arrives in (either a white pick up with South Dakota plates or a Blue Tesla Model 3, and DO NOT PAY until the work is completed to your standard.
