DR HAIR AUSTRALIA “SCOTT MORE” IS A SCAMMER, A LIAR AND A POOR BUSINESS MAN

DR HAIR AUSTRALIA “SCOTT MORE” IS A SCAMMER, A LIAR AND A POOR BUSINESS MAN.

Let me tell you a story about Scott Moore, a PRP so-called specialist who has lied about his certification (apparently) and has scammed hundreds of people with the sale of hair and face PRP appointments, when he was LIQUIDATED!

All you have to do is Google Scott Moore Scam and you will see tonnes of other people who have sadly been ripped off by him as well.

My background with Scott:

I first initiated therapy with Scott 17 March 2015 where he was operating at the back of a LJ Hooker office on Bayswater Road, Sydney. Although Scott was clearly not a great people manager, the location was clean and he had constant bookings and numerous staff.

Fast forward to a year or so later, Scott moved locations and was at another space on Bayswater Road. Then, most recently he moved to a location in Petersham. Up until my last visit, the Petersham location had a receptionist and a nurse operating there. During my last visit however, Scott was very open to myself and a friend, explaining how he was “broken in to” and that he is having troubles “again” with the landlord (a story that has come up numerous times in his practice).

My friend, Tamra Mahon nee Hardy (whom I referred to Scott, and whom also direct debited $700 and only received one treatment )and I were both getting a treatment done, and both work in real estate and quickly made the connection that he was probably not paying his rent. This treatment in particular was different to others. The location was unkept. The floor wasn’t clean, he didn’t wear any gloves and generally the place was messy with stuff falling out of alcoves, and in random places on the floor.

I was surprised about how many times Scott had moved locations. Each time I questioned the move Scott either claimed he was “broken in to” or that there was an issue with the landlord (I assume this is because he wasn’t paying his bills). He would often comment he was broken in to, and that he must be a target due to the expensive technology he uses.

During the time I paid for treatments with Great Directions majority of payments were made via the website (and these payments were captured in the MINDBODY app (which seems to be wiped of all data now). Luckily, I had screenshots of all my appointments and payments with Scott (which I have provided in the appendix). However, one payment for a full years worth of PRP was made directly into his account equating to $1200 (page 11 of the appendix, line 2). I did a split payment for this and sent $600 over on the 8 of

September and $600 on the 17 of September. I confirmed and screenshot these payments to Scott via SMS, and he provided a receipt.

After the payment on the 17 September, I didn’t hear from Scott until the 17 October when he claimed he was moving locations, and was in a meeting and will call me back.

Although I found Scott quite inappropriate and unprofessional in manner, I was not deterred because the PRP therapy was working for me and I wanted to continue with this success.

Upfront payment was always required before treatment. I often received emails and SMS’s from Scott with many offers explaining that “prices must rise” and that he will be changing the cost of PRP therapy. This went on for about a year, so I snapped up a lot of 2-for-1 or cheaper therapies when I could.

The deception starts

It wasn’t until 4 September that I received a great offer from Scott which states “As you know, I have delayed rising the price as long as I possibly can… But new laws relating to PRP treatments means = my prices have to rise for any treatments you purchase after 9pm tonight. The prices below are for you or anyone you know considering starting PRP for hair or PRP for face. … And it goes on (please refer to my appendix for the rest of the SMS). When I asked about this deal he claimed “We no longer accept visa and Mastercard due to their fees for hair restoration clinics being raised to 5.5% from 1.6% previously…” At this point, I should have clued in, but I had never had any issues in booking and completing treatments with Scott, so I sent $1200 for a year’s worth of treatment.

This account was named “Great Directions Trust” and I later found out by the liquidator (he has been liquidated in July) that that account was actually his personal account, and he has been continuing to unlawfully operate his business. Because was operating as himself personally and not a business, I have been unable to get the Office of Fair Trading involved with this matter. And I am sure other people have had a similar issue.

In a message on 30 of October Scott said he was resuming treatments on the 15-21st November but “respects your request for a refund and ask you to please email the request to me”. After that, there was very minor contact with Scott however he did inform me that to update me fully he needs “sign off from the ASIC and also the NSW Consumer Affairs” who had promised something in writing by COB.

Still…. I continued giving him the benefit of the doubt because I wanted to have my treatments done once everything was sorted on his end.

It wasn’t until the 14 December where I saw that Scott read my message (a request for update) but didn’t reply, and didn’t reply or answer any calls, that something may be wrong.

Scott states that he has a 100% money back guarantee on his website. A mere Google search of his name followed by the word ‘scam’ will uncover multiple complaints where Scott has taken customer’s money and then did a runner without providing them for the services they paid for or a refund.

I have also found in my Google search that the company was liquidated on the 10 July 2018. So he was still sending messages to customers after liquidation, the “prices must rise” came though on the 4th September, 2018.

This man is a criminal and should not be operating or allowed to ever operate a business again. I couldn’t tell you how many people Scott ripped off however he had quite a large client list.

I would appreciate any assistance in finding Scott (who will now not answer my messages) and uncovering his poor service, poor ethics and to help me and others get our money back.

Fair trading

What a terrible experience.

I’ve just received a phone call on Friday from the Department of Fair Trading requesting a statement on my experience with Scott Moore.

They have advised that he is in Perth and WA department of fair trading and VIC fair trading are also very aware of him.

It is of my understanding that NSW Fair Trading are looking to pursue charges against Mr Moore and bring him before the courts.

They have made public warnings advising people not to do business with Scott Moore and are now asking for those who have been ripped off to step forward and provide a statement which will be added to their portfolio of evidence.

If Scott Moore has taken your money and not provided the services you have paid for then contact the Department of Fair Trading on this number and advise them you are wanting to add a complaint about Scott John Moore of Great Directions Fair Trading on 13 32 20 to lodge a complaint.

On the 8th December 2017, my daughter and I turned up at Great Directions appointment, a company claiming to treat hair loss, via using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) that uses injection to obtain blood and then it is used to inject or micro needling into the areas of your head where the hair loss takes place.

The day before, I had received a message advising me of a change of address, in which I was annoyed of the short notice I was given. When I arrived at the new premises, I was not expecting what I was about to walk into.

The message I had received stated that the location of Great Directions address was 405, St Kilda Road, Melbourne and a code with the numbers, in which I deleted accidentally from my mobile at the time before I discover what was about to happen to me. Consequently, I remember that some of the numbers had 303 in this code.

When I arrived, I was initially puzzled and lost, thinking I was in the wrong location, not understanding exactly where this business was situated. Part of the code number was actually an apartment number of where Mr Moore, the owner resided! When I pressed the code number buzzer, Mr Moore answered it, advising me to go to the third floor.

When we got to the 3rd floor, I was not clear where to go, knowing that this was a residential apartment, and through the confusion just outside the door of Mr moors apartment, he heard my distressed behavior and hollowed out “I’m here 303!” At this stage, I was agitated to see that this was not what I signed up for, but little did I know it was about to get worse.

My daughter and I could not believe what we were witnessing. We walked into the one-bedroom apartment, small and cramped with furniture. I could not believe the condition of this apartment, as everything was everywhere, in a disorderly fashion.

There were two seats cramped near the hallway, blocked with furniture where the treatment was taking place on the other side of this so-called ‘partition’. Across the room, I saw a long slim mirror where I could see Mr Moore administering an injection to his patent, sitting on Barbra’s chair. I was appalled and couldn’t believe what was happening.

In this environment, I did not see any qualifications stating Mr Moors training of this practice, and when it came to my turn, did I see him wearing gloves. As far as I was concerned, Mr Moore is breaking OHS laws and other policies and related procedures.

When it was my turn for treatment, Mr. Moore, administered the injection in my arm to collect my blood, with no gloves, I was watching him, he then proceeded to ask me to look the other way, when I asked him why, he responded by saying, ‘I get nervous’!

What kind of qualified medical nurse or partition running this type of business is nervous administering an injection says this? This was the final cherry on the cake, so to speak, that convinced me he was illegally practicing his business. During the treatment, I asked about his staff members; he advised me that his staff go away every year for training. I knew this was not true, so I messaged one of his staff members while I was waiting for treatment, Mr Moore was unaware that I had known them. They advised me that it was not true, he had dismissed them. This confirmed my suspicion of his practice and his deceitful conduct.

Please, please stay away from this professional con artist! He just steals money from you, without delivering the goods. Only a professional registered nurse can administer PRP, in which he is far from that!

Report him to AHPRA & HCCC

Why don't you report Scott Moore to AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulating Agency) or HCCC (Health Care Complaints Commission) so he can be deregistered?? AHPRA would go after him and he would never work as a health professional again. Seems he's not even a registered nurse but an enrolled nurse so should not be working independently, he should be supervised.

SCOTT MOORE PRP HAIR LOSS SCAM

Hi I was also scammed by this scumbag Scott Moore....

His clinic was tiny the staff were cleaning equipment in full view of customers who were waiting with a toothbrush in a kitchen sink.

His manner was unprofessional though he thought he knew more than a doctor and has NO healthcare qualifications. His manner was a greasy salesperson I couldn’t stand the guy to be honest but his prices were half of other PROFESSIONALLY run clinics now we know why, He had loads of self righteous youtube videos but they seemed to have vanished like him with all his customers money. The dept of fair trading is warning other potential customers. I hope he is broke and bankrupted and ends up in jail where he belongs!!

Great Directions is a terrible company. Please be aware and try other companies. Scott Moore comes across as really nice, but has no integrity, and in the end does NOT care about you, and is only interested in taking your money.

The company specializes in PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy. In theory this works, and has been well documented for decades. There are lots of companies out there doing these treatments, so shop around, but give this company, and this horrid man a very wide berth.

They cancel appointments, even at the last minute. They use unqualified people to do treatments and don't even tell you, which causes immense pain, even through the numbing cream they use. He bullies his staff in front of clients. This man and the company also drop paid treatments of your account and says they have expired, even though the expiry date should move with THEIR cancelled appointments.

Don't try and contact them and have discussions about things you are not happy with. You will NOT get a response. Scott Moore and Annalyn Lagrisola seem to be the two main people running this shonky outfit.

Please, please, please DO NOT use this company. Save yourself the grief, time and money, and don't believe all the reviews on the site. One of the staff who I got on with really well said that there are many of them that have been FAKED. DO NOT TRUST THEM. He is also NOT qualified and has had legal action taken against him before.

Hope this helps some unsuspecting person looking to this therapy.
