I purchased a washer/dryer from Lowes. It came out to a little over $800 before taxes. Then there were parts for the installation and delivery charges. So altogether, it was a $1,200 charge. Well Progressive Leasing is charging $1600 for just the lease agreement!!!
I was not aware of this at the time of purchase. My paperwork did not include any of this information. It wasnt until I paid the initial payment and signed the paperwork, then I recieved an email with this information. Surely, they had made a mistake!
So I called to verify, and the representative said the lease agreement was correct. They also informed me that if I did not make the full payment of the agreement, then they would come to my house and take the washer/dryer.
PLEASE do not use this company!!!! Just try to save your money before purchasing expensive items. This company will try to make as much money off of you as they can.
I bought a bed from Ashley Furniture on September 5th. I paid a down payment of $54. My payments would be 183/month for 12 months. I had to use Progressive Leasing to finance the bed. I got my bed and my payments would be to on the 1.st of every month. So the bed would cost over 2 grand when it’s all said and done.
My first payment was due October 1st. My ex husband thought 2 grand for an 800 bed was outrageous. He gave me 800 on Friday, September 30th. I called Progressive Leasing and told them I’d like to pay the total coast of the bed early. He told me it was $807.84. I paid that exact amount. Got an email stating my account was PAID IN FULL.
So I’m thinking I’m good right? WRONG!!! I logged into my bank this morning and it showed an ACH payment of $183 was in the process of being taken from my account. I called Progressive Leasing and the guy I spoke to told me that yes my account will be paid in full with this new $183 payment. So it’s paid in full on Friday and now I still owe a payment.
He lied and said that the payment was processed on Friday. He lied. They were processing that 183 this morning. Went to my bank and brought the email stating PAID IN FULL. My bank could not believe what he was seeing. They stopped the $183 payment and is now safeguarding my account so PL cannot access my account.
PL stated that if they refund the 183 they would have to reopen my account. WAIT WHAT???? Reopen an account that is PAID IN FULL???? My bank canceled my debit card right away. Progressive Leasing are thieves. I am writing to anyone who will listen and hopefully do not make the same mistake I did. Shame on you Progressive Leasing for your scandalous, predatory ways. You are horrible!!!!

I would love to speak to the president of the company or someone high up in corporate. I opted the 90 days same as cash. My lease is due 1-19 2020. I have been harassed everyday from 8am to 11pm est. My lease is not even due. Stay away from this company unless you enjoy harassment!,,,I’m so tempted not to give them a cent. The representatives are clueless nor do they give a shit! Stay Away!,,,
We purchased two items from a jewelry store, they stated we could get it financed. Once we signed the papers Progressive started taking out two payments per month, we discovered that we would actually owe twice as much for both items. we asked them to send us the contract, and they have never sent it, we only received a bill of sale from the jewelry store. I would say to stores using this finance company; You are doing a disservice to your customers and you will ultimately loose customers and these con artists will move on to the next scam. Neither venders or customers should use this service. BUYERS BE WARE.
I went to a car stereo shop & had windows tinted on my truck & a stereo installed in another vehicle I own.
I was given financing at the store through Progressive Leasing. The store did not give me a copy of the contract but did give me a store reciept which said for both items I would pay a total of $650.00. The store clerk copied my drivers license which has my correct address on it & took my email address. The clerk told me that Progressive Leasing Basically would email and mail me a copy of my contract. I never received a copy of my contract.
Finally I was able to get in touch with a human at Progressive Leasing and she emailed me a copy of my contract and i came to find out that I would not be paying the $650.00 but would be paying a total of $1,192.00. Basically double the quoted amount of $650.00.
Additionally the paperwork was written as a lease for window tinting, it is impossible to lease window tinting.
Progressive has also been taking $103.00 from my bank account every month which I did not authorize.
I know now why they did not give me a copy of the leasing contract.
They are acting as a loan shark and i believe these are unfair and illegal business practices and are loan sharking.
I was seeking to purchase a mattress from 1800 mattres which told me that I could simply "lease" the item with little down, however, after reading the details of the contract to lease, I elected to purchase the mattress rather than lease. The reason for this was that the lease contract with Progressive allowed them to own the mattress until fully paid, I didn't trust that type of arrangement, it sounded suspect, perhaps another method of holding my property "hostage". Since having told them three times that I paid for the mattress in full, I didn't require thier services.
Now, they email me each day, going on two months, requesting that I sign a contract. I had spoken to them twice and had emailed them back three times asking them to cease and desist, however, they ignore my requests and continue to email me and when I now seek to reply to thier emails, they have blocked any means of my ability to email them back on those messages. I am now writing complaints to 1800 mattres along with the Attorney General of NY and Utah (where thier headquarters seems to be located). This firm is very suspect and I am not surprised that they have so many complaints.

I paid the cost of the $1000 set in 90 days. 3 months later I got another account and paid off another $800 in 60 days. I was told initially, if I requested that they report to the credit bureau, they would no problem. This is not true. The only time they report to the credit bureau, is if you default on your payments. Essentially, they don't report good payment history, they only report bad history.This is backwards and doesn't make sense. Don't do business with them, if you want to rebuild your credit, because it will not count!

Over charged for a $500 sectional, been paying $25 a week for almost a year and still owe $471 on it, finance charges are way too much!
