Unfortunately I did not do my research before ordering a solar blanket for my in-ground pool from PoolSupplies.com/Leisure Living. Had I looked at the number of poor reviews written by other customers I would not have.

I have purchased multiple solar blankets from other dealers over the past 20 years and they have all been about the same quality with a consistent life expectancy of 3-4 years, regardless of the cost. After this 3-4 year timeframe the bubbles all begin to delaminate. I have come to expect this. The cover I bought from PoolSupplies.com/Leisure Living didn't last a year. I unrolled it from it's reel (protected with a professional cover) last weekend to take advantage of the warm weather we had in San Diego. What I found was the bubbles were delaminating all over the cover.

I contacted customer service at PoolSupplies.com to discuss the warranty (1 year full 3 year limited). I purchased the product 02/15/2016 so it is within the 1 year period. They requested, and I sent, pictures of the problem areas as well as the protective cover I use for storage. I was told that the delamination of the bubbles was not covered under the warranty. I reread the warranty and it states that the product is warranted against manufacturer defect limited to delamination or seam failure. It goes on to say the warranty does not apply to damage to the cover and its bubbles resulting from misuse or abuse of the product, chemical damage or excess sun exposure. I have not abused the blanket in any way, keeping it covered on its reel when not in use, including immediately after adding chemicals and throughout the winter.

I had multiple email exchanges with PoolSupplies.com and provided them every opportunity to "make it right". The best they could offer me was a small discount, combined with a $60 shipping and handling fee. The total cost of a replacement under the warranty was more than I could buy a new cover from them on the site and significantly more than I paid for the original cover.

This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever received. I will never purchase another product from PoolSupplies.com and would NOT recommend them to anyone else. Don't just believe me, do a Google Search and see all of the other disgruntled customers.
