I am currently applying for a rental in Manhattan and the normal procedure is to get a credit scoring- which I did.
To my great surprise I am being told by the Credit Scoring company that I have been owing $810 for 2 years to a company by the name of Pinnacle Credit Services located in in Hopkins Minnesota.
I know nothing about this Company and more importantly I have never received any invoice from this company that would justify such a charge.
I went online and I realized that just on the Ripoff website more than 50 individuals have filed a report on the same scam.
I don't know if I am a victim of an identity theft using my credit card or if that charge was maliciously reported by Pinnacle Credit Services to make me react and then pay in order to correct my credit report.
Either way I am planning to file a formal complaint to the Attorney General of New york to report him what I consider as a scam which damaging my reputation.
