I have lived here for about 6 months now and all my neighbors agree that this place is a joke. The office staff constantly lie to our faces. Then they send out these stupid 5 day notices to pay or leave even if you talk to them and tell them you’ll be late. Just recently I tried to pay my rent and they told me I was $60 short so they won’t accept my money order. They claim that they don’t take partial payments when in fact it states in the lease that all payments must be made out to the Marlow. "Payments”! That is plural and it’s in our lease. That is a binding contract and they are blatantly ignoring it. There’s a sign on the back of my building that says no handbills, yet every month they’re shoving something in our door. They violate their own rules.

When I moved in, we were told we would have a 24 hour access to the gym; that everyone would be getting a key to enter after business hours. It’s been 6 months, still no key. If you’re thinking about moving here, STAY AWAY! All they care about is putting money in their pockets. They sent us a notice about a new trash service that we are going to be charged for. I’m sorry, I don’t want your new service and you can’t make me pay for something I’m not going to use. Here’s a thought, instead of spending our rent money on a stupid service nobody wants, how about fixing the gigantic hole in the wall of the big dog park? They also want us to take pictures of other tenants who are not following their new rules so that they can give the rule breakers a fine. More money in their pocket. Every time they send out a 5 day notice, $75 fine. I’m sorry, but I’m not disrespecting the privacy of my neighbors to make them pay you more money. Also, I’m not paying you a dime of any fine over some bullshit when half the time you don’t even explain what, exactly, is late.

As soon as I get my taxes back, we are out of this stupid complex and I will warn everyone I know to never come here to live. They don’t care about their tenants, just their money. Our ac unit was backing up and flooded our apartment. When the maintenance guys finally came to fix it, they did a half a*s job and we had to call them back several more times before it got fixed. When they finally did fix it, I noticed the wood around the air inflow area is full of mold. I mentioned it to the maintenance guys and they did nothing about it. That wood needs to be replaced as it is a health hazard. It is also not the first time it flooded as there was visible water damage in the master bedroom closet shelving units.

After attempting to get my $500 security deposit back from Tiffani Larson at the property I occupied and contacting corporate office in Texas, no one has refunded me or reached out to me to resolve the problem. Tiffani refuses to honor the verbal agreement with previous management company in its entirety. She disconnected our phone call abruptly and after requesting a copy of my lease to be sent to my email, she has made zero attempts to send it. Office staff has neglected to handle their due diligence with communicating with me the dollar amount I allegedly owe, which is less than my deposit. So at minimum I'm due the difference but nothing refunded to me after 2 months. I called and provided a forwarding address to assistant manager Colton who has had previous encounters working together at another property named Element. His choice to be biased is unacceptable. Other parties who may be involved in this refund scandal are regional managers Erica and Lisa. I hope someone at corporate investigates this matter immediately.
