Phoenix American Warranty Co Reviews

Bought a 2015 Gmc Serria around the end of sept, drove it for a week, less then 300 miles and started having problems. bad control arms, leaking radiator, and bad transmisson. Took it to the shop, he dealt with the warranty and they approved to have the lower control arms done. he completed that work, then called them bacl about the radiator and transmisson. tthe warranty inspector had to come out and take a look at the truck. the are now denying all the claims and not paying for the work already done. because my truck has been modified. i bought the truck the way it sits. the contract states that the tires must be below 20% different in size. Im only about 8 percent so i should be covered. they said im not covered because the box was not checked that i had over size tires. but the dealer said, and showed me proof that their web site says only check the box if the tires are over 20% different. so no here i am with a 3500 bill for work they approved, a leaking radiator and a bad transmisson that wont get fixed under a warranty that was sold to me.. scam is what they are.

In the last few months, I started having issues with my generator in my 2018 Coachman. The RV dealership where I purchased my RV had gone out of business and never sent follow up on my initial purchase for an extended warranty that I paid $4000 for so I dug through paperwork in storage and finally found enough info to contact the Warranty Company.

The warranty is through Phoenix American Warranty Company in Miami, Florida. I had already spent $800 dollars in repairing the generator and the day before going to a remote area in the desert where the temps would near 100 degrees F, the generator failed all together and replacement was $3700. I had to replace the generator but had ONAN retain the generator that failed so I could follow up with the company once I found the paperwork.

I called them after my return from the trip and they said the service company would need to follow up with them to get a claim number. Then after speaking to ONAN, the company said they were going to reimburse since my warranty was for 7 years. Then they went silent for about 48 hours. Now they said they are denying my claim since I replaced the generator.

I explained I do not need reimbursed for the replacement, but I would like a claim opened and the generator looked at for replacement as it is still in tact and sitting at ONAN for them to look at. Phoenixx\ American said since I replaced the generator, they will not process it now. I am happy to put the old generator in so they can come look at it.

I have looked through several reviews now online and it looks like this company runs a scam. I asked for the remainder of my warranty to be reimbursed and they said I would need to contact the (bankrupt/closed) dealership who sold me the warranty. With that said, if you are considering purchasing an extended warranty through this company...you will want to look elsewhere.

Read up on the reviews first and save your money for a more reputable company. If I get a satisfactory/fair resolution, I will update this review but I am thinking that is not going to happen. If there is an attorney doing class action against this company...feel free to reach out to me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PHOENIX AMERICAN WARRANTY COMPANY!!

I submitted a claim via Fax to them. When I never received any info, I called they lost the fax. Resubmitted it. Called them back two weeks after no responses from them. Was told they denied the claim as I did not get it authorized first.

I should have read all the reviews prior to giving them my $8000.00 for a 5 year extended warranty which after reading the 72 BBB complaints + more bad reviews there and on many other review sites they just don't pay out. I feel ripped off!

I was sold this warranty on 10/2014 when I purchased a Nissan Rogue 2010 at Sansone Auto Mall. Was involved in an accident 2/27/2016 considered a total loss at no fault. My bank which is capital one has been trying to contact this company so I can get my money back. It is now June, almost July and no check has been sent.
