My pool was built at the end of 2015. The pool equipment that was used was all Pentair products. I have had nothing but issues with all of the equipment.
The sweeper, called a Racer, fell apart and had to be repaired numerous times. Reviews online show most all customers of this product have the same issue. The Pentair company did replace the first one under warranty after a BBB claim. Then the new one fell apart the same way and they will not replace it or repair it, as the warranty from the first one is now expired. Bad business practice.
Also, I have gone through 3 booster pumps for the sweeper, three pressure switches, a chlorine feeder, about 12 wall adapters that just crack and break due to bad designs, a main filter pump, and other Pentair products.
Pentair is nothing but junk. I had a rep come out twice, 'promised' that they would take care of bad products as long as I was a customer, then went back on all of his promises. Bad, bad, bad, lying customer service.
I had this Pentair Master Temp 400 model brand new and paid about $3000 thru a pool repair company, it started leaking within few months, I was thinking it maybe installer did bad job to connect it, but it was leaking at heater blower inside the unit, discussed it with Pentair since it is within two years warranty, and they claim it was imbalance pool water chemical, they refused to repair it or compensate me, wow I had my old unit (different brand) for 15 years, it never leak water, I was using same pool company to maintain the pool, I have to replace older one because the burner no longer works, also the unit's outer covers are all plastic, my older unit is made with galvanized steel cover. So be careful when you buy this Pentair brand and model!
PriceWise Plumbing installed two American Plumber filtration systems by Pentair (this business). They were never turned on and found to be plumbed incorrectly. Pentair stated they would allow them to be returned for a refund. They then revoked what they had stated.
They put me through the ringer for months and then changed their mind. The health issue is that they allowed the plumber to turn on the system 1 time, and he backflushed the carbon and everything in the filters into our home plumbing, sinks, drinking water, baths, etc.
These systems now no longer work and are going to be sent to a land fill. This company had a chance to do the right thing, but they did not. I still would like them to refund me and take these systems back.

I bought a water system from Mark Lenart and within two weeks 13 random purchases appeared on my credit card. He's a deadbeat, piece of garbage.
