Patrick Adair Designs Reviews

  • Aug 28, 2023

I feel compelled to share my utterly disappointing experience with Patrick Adair Designs, a supposed creator of custom-made rings. My wife and I placed an order for two unique wedding rings, expecting an exquisite product that matched the allure showcased on their website. Regrettably, reality hit us hard when we received what can only be described as glorified mood rings akin to something you'd find in a bargain bin. The customization process, which was supposed to involve meaningful collaboration, left us feeling like mere spectators. Given the substantial investment of over $1000, we anticipated a more engaging experience. Shockingly, we were never informed that the glow feature on the ring would last a measly 10 minutes and required constant recharging with a UV flashlight or sunlight. This information was conveniently withheld until the rings arrived, leaving us feeling blindsided. One would expect that a company catering to such high-priced items would deliver exceptional customer service. However, our communication with the team was disappointingly sparse. When we requested a specific design without inlay materials, we were met with a dismissive response: "We don't really sell rings without inlay materials typically, I believe it adds a lot to a ring." This disregard for our preferences was striking, especially given the hefty price tag attached to our order. To make matters worse, we were pressed for time due to our impending wedding.

My wife, who had traveled all the way from Brazil for the occasion, and I were under the impression that our concerns would be addressed promptly. Rebekah, the customer service representative, assured us that the rings would be remade free of charge to ensure our satisfaction. However, when we finally sent back the rings (after constant inquiries about an ETA), we were informed that the remake would take an additional 6 weeks. This absurd delay was conveyed with an offer to update our shipping address, but it was clear that the rings wouldn't arrive before our wedding date on the 22nd of August. Despite explaining our dire situation to the company, they callously disregarded our pleas for a timely resolution. The result? We were left with no rings and a vague promise of delivery by the end of September. The uncertainty forced us to make the painful decision to postpone our wedding, incurring significant financial losses. Seeking recourse, I requested a refund for our order. However, Patrick Adair Designs flatly refused, citing their no-refund policy for custom-made rings. It's worth noting that every ring they offer is considered "custom" based on request and sizing, a clever ploy to trap unwary customers. Even though our "custom" order was as basic as they come, without engraving or intricate details, we were denied any possibility of a refund. Upon further investigation, I discovered that Patrick Adair Designs is not even registered with the Secretary of State, casting doubts on the legitimacy of their business operations in California, where we reside. In summary, our experience with Patrick Adair Designs has been a nightmare from start to finish. Their products don't match the advertised quality, their customer service is lackluster, and their refusal to provide refunds for unsatisfactory custom-made orders is a blatant rip-off. Beware of this company, as they are more than willing to leave customers with empty pockets and unfulfilled promises.
