Parked my car in parking lot for a hotel long enough to go inside and check on availability of a room. Went back out and found a ticket on my windshield for $75 for RESTRICTED PARKING - NO PERMIT.
It turned out that the sign denoting this was covered up completely by a truck parked 2 spaces over from me which DID NOT have a ticket on it.
Went inside and asked the person at the desk about this and was told that I had to contact the number on the ticket - it was completely out of their hands.
The license number on the ticket was not mine, but the description was correct.
I have a feeling that the truck was parked there to generate tickets. I paid online, but now feel that I was ripped off with the kind of scam that exists in vacation towns where out of staters are targeted.
