My name is Sebrina. My husband and I was in an automobile accident. We were treatment from our initial claims and post settlement. Doctor Spektor treated us with Muscle relaxers, Percocets and were were given additional diagnosis. We also received injections in our backs. I believe the injections were Morphine and an anti inflammortory medication.
Treatments: I noticed that as I monitored myself and my husband that were began to improve. The second I reported the improvements, Dr. Spektor would find a new diagnosis. In my case it was "Fibromyalgia". My treatment plan was then modified and extended. I was paying cash for the shots and my medical insurance was being billed for the other treatment. My husband and myself have been in 2 addtional accidents since we met Doctor Spektor. He did not stop treating us after subsequent injuries. He continued to bill Medicare even though the insurance company is liable for the billing.
I am already weary when it comes to Doctors. He has done nothing to make me feel any better about them. There are always a large number of patience and a great number of them come from long distance areas. Most of them look like addicts.
I have spoken to Doctor Spektor in reference to alternative medications. He continues to stand his ground. As a wife I only have so much that I can do inreference to my husbands medical treatments. I have noticed over the years and have deduced that this medication is hurting my husband. Since this long term use I have noticed severe depression in both of us. My doctors changed my medications and increase them for treatment of extreme depression. My husbands doctors have done the same for him. More than one doctor noticed the changes. I did notices changes in my husband but had not connected the dots. I noticed....hiving, feeling weak all the time,feverish and sweating, he was confused and cursing at people he didnt see.
He was gasping for air in his sleep. The less he splept the more Ambien was prescribed my other doctors. The more he took the medications prescribed by Doctor Spektor the more depression medications were prescribed by other doctors. The more my husband took these medicines the more his personality was altered. I got tired. I poured my husbands prescribed meds down the toilent. He was a new person. I was giving him Excedrin for a couple of days. He slept like a baby for 2 days. He didnt throw up and he wasnt cursing. Unfortunately He started to have what looked like withdrawals. I took him back to the doctor only for him to give him Oxycodone 10/325.
I left Doctor Spektor after seeing him dispense deadly medication to my husband. He also was telling my husband that he dont want to give him a medication and the weekend comes around and the medicine doesnot work for him and he cant call anyone.
I got a new pain specialist and I have not had one percet. I have one shot in my back every 3 months. This was never presented to us by Dr. Spektor in the past as an alternative. I feel he totally and purposely intimidated my husband and me...using scared tactics.
I am writing now! this January 2017 because...I am now in full knowledge of what is really going on. My insurance training from Oct 2016 - Jan 2017 has educated me to insurance fraud and unethical pactices.
