I was an employee at UPS car care for a month and was treated very very poorly was reprimanded severely for being sick for 2 days I was informed that it was a requirement to lie to our customers telling them that we're from the Ford or Chevy or Buick processing Department misrepresenting ourselves as the dealership I was told to do this by my supervisor Frank Lloyd I was also treated very unprofessionally by mr. Lloyd on several occasions upon terminating my employment with off Car Care I was not paid for the time that I worked the last two weeks and was told that I would get paid if I stayed these guys are Crooks don't trust them don't ever buy a warranty and Palmer Administration should shut them down right away and I'll be calling them next

I was contacted by this company several times and actually took the call one day, Big Mistake! My extended warranty had run out on my car and I was looking to pursue another warranty offer. It was extremely easy to put my policy in place, but i was very hesistant since it sounded so sketchy. I was transferred three times and at this point, they had lowered the initial payment and monthly payments to what seemed a reasonable offer to me. They continued to say "this offer will only be good today and won't be extended" and like I said, I was interested in getting a warranty. I very reluncantly gave me information and I absolutely should have known better, but I was promised a full refund if I chose to cancel. It hit me a couple of days later that I didn't want to follow through so I called to cancel. They said that I needed to follow the cancellation process listed on my policy. The representative was very rude and wouldn't explain what I needed to do, but instead continued to ask why I was cancelling.

After explaining that I didn't feel comfortable and just wanted to cancel, she spat out a bunch of statistics and got loud at me on the phone for no reason! As I tried to continue saying that I just wanted to cancel, she eventually hung up on me. What a b***h?! Reading the cancellation policy myself, I noticed that I needed to mail a certified odometer reading to the designated address. After calling back, a different representative explained that I needed to go to a mechanic to receive a certified odometer reading. To which, I asked why she needed that if I only had to give an estimate over the phone to began with. She danced around the question giving me unnecessary information. So I went to two different dealerships asking for this certified odometer reading, where I received nothing but puzzled faces from mechanics explaining that they had never heard of that before. I finally just had a mechanic print out my VIN and odometer mileage and print it on a letterhead so that I could send the company this information. I then called them back to speak with a manager of this company and once again I was transferred to the b***h of a representative answering the phone in a very condescending "customer service Manager". Where I was once again mistreated and rudely spoken to so I hung up in her face! After that, I called my credit card company and immediately requested a new card so that they can't continue to pull money from my account. Seriously, Do. Not. Answer. The. Phone. From this company! They will lie to scam you!!

Thanks a Million

You just saved me from making a big MISTAKE.

RUDE, AWFUL

I called to cancel my policy haven't gotten the policy in the mail, yet. I didn't know you had to send a hand written letter telling them why I iwanted to cancel. When I mentioned I can understand why they get all of the bad reviews the girl argued with me asking me where I saw these bad reviews. She was very rude. I have never heard of such a thing having to send them a letter why I want to cancel this policy. I'm going to send it with a tracking number to make sure they get it. I don't know if that will help but I sure wish I would have read up on the place before I fell victim.

Most people dont know what a scam actually is

After reading these i find it quite entertaining, do any of you even know what a scam is? Its not from a company that is real for one, you cant buy a legit product from a legally registered business and say its a scam, thats not how scams work. If you bought something you didnt like, dont get mad at the company, you bought it for christ sake. You actually willingly got your credit card out and paid for it, not shame on the company, shame on you!! If you dont want something, dont buy it... it really is that simple. This country is full of little whiny brats, stop being a whiny brat and complaining about companies when you made the decision, you should complain about yourself. I just find it so comical that people still feed into so much negativity, you are the problem not the companies you complain about. Grow the eff up whiners

You're dead wrong.

I get calls from the number associated with the company almost daily. They offer anything from a discount on my electric bill to housing insurance. They're clearly a scam. Unless you think a car warranty company is also simultaneously the energy department of Troy new york. The only possible way one could post the comment that you have would be if they are incompetent, or a someone who works for them.

Rude

I have been trying to cancel my policy since I recently lost my job. All I get is the run around and very rude people. The people say they are in NJ, but they list California. Impossible to work with these people, they are rude, condescending, they talk over you as you attempt to tell them what you need.

I received a call from a salesperson selling me extended warranty for my vehicle. The salesrep said that I can cancel within 30 days and receive a full refund of my down payment. It took them over 2 weeks to send the service agreement to me and after reviewing, I decided to cancel the policy. I purchased the policy on June 23, 2017 and cancelled it the first week of July. To this date, I have yet to receive my refund (2.5 months later). I have called multiple times and the responses I've been given are:

1. The person processing it is out today, he willl call you back. He never did.

2. They are processing it now and you should get it shortly. 2.5 weeks later, still nothing.

3. The person is out to lunch.

I don't think it should take a legitamate company more than 2.5 months to refund a down payment when the customer is required to cancel within 30 days.

From the beginning, they sold me this policy based on covering my Service A & B from Mercedes. They lied.

In the end, they find a loophole for saying they didn't cover my service, and they'll close my account and refund any monies paid which don't come close to paying for my Service B.

When my car was in the shop, claims wouldn't call me back, and I made numerous calls, emails, and had my service advisor also call, send them emails, etc. They refused to call me back and stuck me with a $557.75 bill. Screw this scam of a company who lies just to get you to sign up.

Mercedes will never deal with them again, and neither will I. I told the BBB this company is a scam, but they aren't honoring it as such, even though they'll say anything to sell people a policy.

Then they won't show up when things are being done to my car. Again, they said maintenance will be covered and turn around and say maintenance won't be covered unless they wanted to do something else. Of course, they did want to do other things, but I told Mercedes if they won't cover anything, don't do anything else but the basic Service. DUH, Ox Car Care.

They'll find any reason to deny claims, are incompetent, not responsive, and only had 1 person dealing with calls that entire week I had a Mercedes loaner.

I was quite clear what I needed to be done before I even took my care there, and they ensured me claims would contact me back. They did not, and I was forced to pick my car up because I couldn't keep the loaner forever, waiting for Ox Car Care claims to contact me back. BAD business practices.

Corporate said they couldn't do anything about how claims became despondent, and they owe me the entire amount I paid. Had they responded to anything, they would've seen that Mercedes wanted to fix other things they found wrong.

That may have gotten everything paid for. They just didn't want to do their job and blamed it on the job I paid for. Had I gone ahead and let Mercedes do the other work, I would've been stuck with that bill too. I was not going to let that happen, given they didn't want to do anything that week.

Oh, I contacted them ahead of time, and they told me to have my advisor call them. In the 11th hour, they said they wanted an estimate to be emailed to them. Now, why didn't they say that ahead of time and waited all week to tell me that? I did have the advisor email them an estimate. After I paid for the basic service, Ox Car Care wanted another estimate from Mercedes.

Why? Both of us sent that estimate to them. It was also on BBB's website. I already paid and Mercedes didn't want to deal with them again.

Ox Car Care was very unprofessional and my service advisor said so. What a trick on the part of Ox Car Care.

They had nerve to talk smack about Car Shield when they are no better and probably worse. Stop putting people through all these changes for no good reason. If they didn't cover what I needed, why sell me a plan?

What a scam, a crock, and a nightmare. I was going crazy calling them all week, and instead of honoring what they said, they just want to close my account and not have to pay anything.

I'm contacting any place I find to complain about this business. They should not be in business if they have no ethics, can't tell the truth, have staffing issues, and made me crazy that entire week. I'm so tired, I got sick from all this insanity.

I will seek legal action and add in punitive damages resulting in my illness. I might come back and add that to this complaint if the VA will give me paperwork.

To whom it may concern,

I am requesting to cancel my Auto Warranty Plan with Ox Car Care. I spoke with Antonio Portillo and advised I could not afford the service. Not only did he try to swindle me into taking the service, but he created a total of 4 service agreements without my authorization or knowledge. Please see the Service Agreements below:

OXMT012483 - I was charged $49.00

OXMT01248 - I was charged $49.00

OXMT010784 - I was charged $49.00

OXMT013085 - I was charged $49.00

I spoke with Antonio Portillo on several occasions, and he tried to fast talk me by offering a lower down payment which I declined. The first date I spoke with him was on Monday December 12, 2022 and on Wednesday December 14, 2022. I expressed again that I wanted to cancel what I thought was 1 service agreement and now there are 4 service agreements from Ox Car Care Warranty.. While speaking with Antonion Portillo he went and processed $49.00 on my debit card without my authorization. Then I was advised by Antonio Portillo, I had to pay $25.00 to create a “Service Agreement Booklet” This is absurd!! This company is a SCAM!

Ox Car Care Warranty is not professional and their business practices are disingenuous. I kept repeating to Antonio I did not want the service, he continued to try and fast talk me then stated his cellphone # 949-744-6073 was losing the signal ,he actually hung up and he never called back. I have called back several times to speak to him and I get the runaround from everyone at Ox Car Care Warranty. I want all of these “Service Agreements” canceled and a full refund immediately, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General Office.

OX CAR CARE LIED! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! Upon purchasing an extended warranty coverage, I spoke extensively with the representative Amilcar Archila in length, I was told A claim could not be filed for 30 days or 1000 miles.

Unfortunately my car broke down and stopped in the middle of the road on the 30th day however at 1462 miles. 462 more miles then what was stated ( The 1000 miles) to me prior to buying into this scam. I purchased a 2014 Chevy Traverse Ls February 26, 2021.

My car is very well maintained every 3000 miles a oil change is being done as required. I've NEVER had any issues with my vehicle. This is the first car I've purchased therefore I've done what it takes to maintain a healthy functioning vehicle!

Again it's a 2014 used car! I can not foresee the future however I can be prepared. Hint reason for purchasing the extended warranty. It took 3 days to get my car towed, I had to use AAA to get my car home then had to wait until the weekend was over to get in touch with a person. Then had to go back and forth for 6 hours in order to get my car towed to a ASE certified shop.

My car broke down Friday May 6th 2022 my car was not towed through Ox Car Care until that Monday May 9th 2022 at 3:41pm. My car is still sitting in the shop. Upon my vehicle being checked out. The alternator was gone, power steering, as well as the harmonic balancer.

However due to the fact that so many things went wrong at one time it requires a special inspection to insure there were no pre-existing conditions. The car is 8 years old with previous ownership! No one has effectively communicated with me. Now I'm still waiting to see if the repairs are going to be covered.

They do not listen to what the customers who make sure these people have their cushy salary has to say. Everyone takes everything personal. This is business and my only vehicle is down. AGAIN THIS IS WHAT SOCIETY HAS COME TO IN THE PANDEMIC CRISIS...TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MINORITY DISABLED WOMEN?!

After missing a payment the company calls you none stop i counted over 12 miss calls in 10 minute setting. When i finally answered letting them know im stll at work. They told me i was 6 days past due and to make a payment. I told them i would like to cancel service. Then they told me send a hand written letter to cancel service. They also told me that the phone calls will not stop after verbally telling them do not call. This place is a scam with no standard business practice. Everytime you ask for something you will recieve the run around. Please do not create business with this agency it is a scam and will not refund your money as they mention and promise.

I recieved a call from one of Ox Car Care sell reps trying to sell me an extended warrenty. I unfortunatlly agreed, the sales manager goton the phone and gave me a sales pitch and i agreed with the understanding that this coverage would cover drive train A/C and other items. 3or 4 months later when i go use this extened warrenty what happens BAM sorry sir your policy doesn't cover A/C work. So i call the warrenty people and they play this transfr game till I finally hang up and call back and I get to talk to the WONDERFUL MS. GIA HUNT THE LYING C@#T. Thats right LIAR, at this point she tells me the will help me and if all possible upgrade me to the one i should have had to begin with. So a week later I call back( because of course I never hear from her) only to find out oh I can't do anything because the dealership never sent her anything. YOU WANNA KNOW WHY be cause the lying b@%*h gave me a fake email so I have gotten maybe the right one now and we shall see.

High presure call , represented themselves as KIA, said warranty had expired. Still have 3 yrs left. Said nothing about additional payments. Had to cancel card to stop payments and block calls.

  • Oct 6, 2017

I want a refund for the 2 months that I have been charged for. No one answers the phone when I call. I was told that I would receive a refund by now.

I cancelled this before I got off the phone with them and was assured that I would receive a full refund.

How could I have been so dumb?

These people are ripoff artists and I will help in any way to stop them from ripping anyone else off!

scam

Ox Care Care and Palmer Administration are a bunch of lying crooks. They pulled a bait and switch on me and did not cover a component that was spelled out in my booklet. What a scam. After being transferred back and forth, put on hold, told customer service was busy I finally just called my credit card company!

I am registered on the do not call registry. I receive annoying calls about purchasing a warantee on a car that I sold years ago. I beg them to stop calling me and they laugh and hang up. They call back sometimes on the same day. I have turned them in to the FCC however they have some type of rolling phone number that cant be traced. Once I acted interested they conneted me to the warantee specialist "Jim". He and his office staff will not release the name and how to stop the solisitation calls. I have called them 15 times and they are holding this scam a secret. this is so fruterating I hope consumers get wind of this as they are part of a big consumer scam. I checked with the BBB and they are a new company so there isnt any history to prove so far. Their address is listed on thier website in Santa Ana CA.
