First of all I have been having trouble with the Polk County Florida Sheriff department. Not because I was doing anything wrong but because they were doing something wrong. They were selling the drugs that they seize. I tried to turn them in and all I got for my trouble was a unlawfully tapped phone, an unlawfully tapped internetr and my mail stolen .Especially if it is to or from an attorney or some kind of government agency.
One day I happen to see a shelf that looked like it was eaten up. I thought I had termites. So I call Orkin. Little did I know at the time that this certain Polk County Sheriff official was and still is illegally tapping my phone. Orkin sends this man over to my home. The first thing I noticed was his car. It was pretty banged up. Usually they use an Orkin car. I ntold him that I had termites .He said he was going to go under the house. After 15 minutes I go out there. His white jump suit was still white. I knew that he lied abot going under my house.
I don't know why I fell for this scam. Orkin put on a show .The man who supposedly treated my home had what looked like Tampons in his hand. According to his report he had put 5 gallons of incecticide under my house. There is no way he could have done this because I would have been affixiated along with my pets. I had put 1152.00 down and 288.00 a year for not treating my home. In addition I found out this Sheriff official internal Affair Inspector Mark Stroud was behind this scam. The inspector who was supposed to inspect my home was actually a former inmate named Scott R. Newman who had a violent past. There is no way Orkin would have hired a violent man to go into people's homes.
The supervisor at the time John Bernstien was aware of the scam and actually got promoted for doing this to me. So I am stuck paying for a termite treatment that I am not getting while my wall in my storage room is getting eaten by termites. I think that I am paying for another corrupted Sheriff official 's (Maj. Ian Floyd) home to be treated, What can you do when law enforcement is on the side of the criminal. This Sheriff department makes sure that I cannot see any State attorney in Tampa or write anyone because they steal my mail.I had wrote to then Gov Rick Scott of Florida about this .He never got the letter because Sheriff Grady Judd's officials stole my letters.
Orkin continues to demonsrate very deceptive practices with their clients. When they did not respond to my many attempts at getting service I camceled the account. A month and a half later (Dec. 29th) they sent a tech over at 6pm to provide services at which time I inform the tech that we no longer have these services. He said I was fortunate to be home and catch him before he started spraying outside of my home. They never started outside the home before so I felt clearly it was an attempt to bill me for services I didn't order. I showed the tech the email from Orkin confirming the cancellation a month and a half ago and he said I would still have to call the local office otherwise they may still try to bill me.
I immediately got on the phone with both te corporate and local office to once again ensure my cancellation. On 1/22/18 I receive a bill through the mail indicating I owed $75.00 for service. Again I contacted the number on the notice and was told a tech came out the 29th and provided me with service. I once again offered to forward all the proof of cancellation to the representative and declined to receive it and said she would just take care of it. My next step is taking legal action against them for harrassment if they dare to contact me again. Be awared that if you're not home they will say thell sprayed the outside even if they didn't just to get paid because the techs get paid by the jobs they do.
Let it be known that the Orkin Pest Control branch that serves Tilson Rd and the Candler Rd. area are a bunch of swindlers. They are not "at all" interested in getting rid of pest in your home!!! I repeat, they are NOT in the business of pest control. They are trying to get contracts and keep you paying for the life of that contract.
The first time they serviced my home, they did a good job but thereafter, they totally dropped the ball. Pest in my home were never totally killed off and their workers only play around after the first service. They talk a good game and sound like they know what their talking about but the stuff they are using does nothing to kill pest. Eventually they string you along until they make enough money and when your contract is up, you will definitely need them because they know they haven't killed the majority of pest in your home.
After contract expired, technician came by my home unannounced on a day that I spent the entire day home and left an invoice saying he sprayed outside because nobody was there. On that day, I left to go to gas station up the street, less than a mile away from my home only to return to an invoice for 77 dollars. I had been home all day, needless to say the tech's will drive down your street waiting for you to leave because they are in the business of getting paid, not pest control. Please stay far away from Orkin Pest Control in the Decatur area if you can. They are full of crap!!!
