The title tells it all. Went to the hotel. Was not provided the rooms booked online at the (avoid) Arlington VA Holiday Inn. Orbitz has not refunded me.

On 1-12-20 four tickets at $801.88, each were bought from Orbitz for flights on Aer Lingus to Ireland. Ireland closed its border on 3-18-20 because of the Covid virus. I began that afternoon trying to get in touch with Orbitz and Aer Lingus who emailed that they were offering vouchers for later travel. We could not go at a later date and I emailed this to the airline. On 5-19-2020 I notified my credit card company that I wanted my money back, maybe they would have better luck getting thru. Within days my credit card company had sided with Aer Lingus and thought we should take the vouchers being offered. Again we could not have gone at a later date. On 8-20-20 I received a message from Aer Lingus: This is an auto-response confirming we have received your refund request and will review it as quickly as possible. On 11-16-20 I received this from AerLingus: As your booking was made through a travel agency, we must ask you to revert to them directly with your claim. I had been trying to contact Orbitz since March 2020 (no joke). I finally posted a horrible review for Orbitz on Facebook in April 2021. On May 6. 2021 I received: We understand that you want to obtain a refund for your flight reservation. We contacted Aer Lingus and they decided not to issue a refund since the ticket validity was already beyond one year. I HAD BEEN TRYING SINCE MARCH 2020 and every time you got thru to Orbitz sometimes waiting 2 HOURS for a human...they would hang up on you. I want my money back from someone. This has to be theft. I think they believe I will just go away. I can not afford to give away money.

Due to Coronavirus we had to cancel and rebook a trip to Mexico booked in March. We never received a confirmation email after rebooking July 16th. Upon calling in on July 18th we discovered an error was made on our return flight date. After spending over 2 hours on the phone with Orbitz we were unable to resolve the problem. We called the airline directly. We paid $417.69 for each ticket on our original reservation in March our new tickets were 279.59 each.

American Airlines said they were honoring the full value of our original tickets to Orbitz. Orbitz refused to refund the price difference $138.10 per ticket. We patiently spent over two hours on the phone trying to resolve the mistake which they refused to do only to discover they are profiting at our expense due to Covid-19 travel policy!! (We had to pay again out of pocket to American direct to fix Orbitz mistake!!!) Happy Birthday to me!!!

My demise with ORBITZ/EXPEDIA is no more tragic nor much less uncommon. Reading the number of posts from people DUPPED, baited and switched with FRAUDULENT and decisive criminal fiduciary malfeasance is sorrowful. WE THE PEOPLE have rights, however, big banking and corporate protections will prevent any of us the common folk from ever receiving justice against ORBITZ/EXPEDIA. My story with ORBITZ/EXPEDIA occurs during this COVID-19 Pandemic. Stay at home government mandated ordinances were historically unknown to anyone-ever. Not only this, but they were legal. Trying to reach ORBITZ/EXPEDIA to alert them about my very specific situation was IMPOSSIBLE.

The phone lines, the so called chat, email rendered was to no avail a stagnant and redundant and from I have read thus far from others complaining of ORBITZ/EXPEDIA futile. The credit card I used to make this purchase was alerted and to no avail favored the merchant ORBITZ/EXPEDIA. I lost a very considerable amount of money. I would have to say at this point after serious consideration of the matter and my loss the possibility of litigation. However, looking at this carefully- I decided to be patient and wait. Why, because I just don’t have the money to take on a big bad boy like ORBITZ/EXPEDIA and employ a very expensive competent attorney to take on ORBITZ/EXPEDIA. These types of lawsuits involve very expensive legal minds that must charge hours and hours of research time to a case in order to win. I don’t have this kind of money-again I am just the “little guy with no voice?”

I will wait and see when I am notified by mail or receive some kind of news notification of someone capable of producing what is called a CLASS ACTION LITIGATION against ORBITZ/EXPEDIA. Perhaps, some state’s attorney general will decide to act on the peoples behalf. When this happens and I know it will, I will have already paid off my credit card and associated charges with this theft. I will receive some months or years later via U.S. Mail some notification of such class action and will complete the claim form being identified as a possible litigant in this matter and then wait for something monetary in the mail some months later. You see the people that run ORBITZ/EXPEDIA have been raised to lie, cheat, steal from his fellow man.

ORBITZ/EXPEDIA has outsourced American customer service jobs to the east where people have no regard for human life or quality of life. Case in Point – Wuhan, China. Communist China for those baby boomers. Communists live on the streets, sleep with their own mothers and aunties, impregnate their own sisters and lie, cheat and steal – just like ORBITZ/EXPEDIA employees do. ORBITZ/EXPEDIA executive managers or top management never served in the United States Military defending our American economy and republic and constitution and never had to work a day in their life for their hard earned money. ORBITZ/EXPEDIA created this company with only one aim in mind CORPORATE THEFT. Gordon Gekko said it best- “Greed is Good, Greed Works!”( WallStreet,1985 ) Be patient every one. God’s justice will prevail against management and stockholders of ORBITZ/EXPEDIA.

“Be not deceived, God is never mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap - Galatians 6:7 .” In closing therefore: God’s curse to everyone at ORBITZ/EXPEDIA and CITIBANK.

Our flight was cancelled, Orbitz is only offering a flight credit. The department of transportation mandates that Passengers are entitled to a full refund if a flight is cancelled. Orbitz has been consistently changing their policy since Covid19 to fit their needs of keeping the consumer's money.

Orbitz is stealing the money of hard-working Americans, it is not right.

Orbitz has found a way to get on the airline fees rip off bandwagon. I have been using them exclusively in the past, but recently made a reservation and was charged an almost $45.00 "book fee". When I complained they said it was now required when booking economy air fare and if I don't like it too bad.

My recommendation is to continue to use them for lowest fare, then DO NOT book but go to airline with lowest fare and book it directly, saving the almost $45 'booking fee'.

It is a shame that they now have found a way to join the gouging for fees that airlines enjoy, but you can avoid it by finding the best deal through them then go directly to airline to actually book it.

I of course an through with them.

I booked some flights about 6 months ago for myself and my family. I selected my seats because my 10 year old has a medical condition. 3 days before my trip I was confirming my itinerary and saw I had no seat assignment. I called customer service and they said that even though I selected seats they can not guarantee seat assignments. Had I known this from the beginning I would have booked directly through the airline.

Re Orbitz: DO NOT EVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!! I booked a flight to Seattle, leaving today, in early, early September. I got to the airport today, at the correct time, at the ticket gate for the correct airline, and the ticket had literally vanished in the computer system. American told me my ticket had been canceled by Orbitz, that I should go to the United desk. I went to the United desk. No ticket.

United said that I had been listed as a person who did not show up for an 8 AM flight to Denver.

My REAL ticket had me flying out of Madison at 12:30 to Chicago, and then onto Seattle.

Orbitz then tried to blame ME for the error, I spent 3 hours mostly on hold, while the Orbitz people tried to figure out what had happened, still frequently during that time coming back on the line to blame me.

The end result is I spent 4.5 hours at the Madison airport waiting for the problem to be resolved, all flights departed, and I ended up with no flight to Seattle, and no Christmas celebration and holidays with my daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law, and their extended family.

My time with my family is ruined. It isn't happening. I never got out of Madison.

My sister and I again spent hours on the phone with Orbitz last night resulting in no resolution. I just keep getting forms from them when their PR people read that I am publicly outing them.

I will NEVER use Orbitz again. This has been a nightmare day, a nightmare experience, and I am totally done with those people. And have told them so. Do I sound furious? You bet! And sad and tearful. Ruined holiday.

So I went and searched again from the begining and it still shows $855 but when I try to pay the same thing happens. I called customer service, a nice lady name Natalie searched for the flight and she got the same price on their system, however when she tried to book it she had the same result: Price has been updated. I escalated this internally and a guy name Peter said their system doesn't update the prices frequently and they are working on it. Because of their unefficient system (to say the least) I am going to have to pay the additional $200 dollars for my flight. This is the first and last time Orbitz has me as a customer, me and my thousands of Facebook/Instagram followers for sure. They have an unreliable system and we are they let the customers pay the price. NEVER AGAIN!

Trying to book air travel through Orbitz on United.....Orbitz had the lowest published fare for my family of three to travel to Colorado. The first time I got was entering my payment information and once I clicked conifrm, the screen went back to the home page and the banner said this reservation has been canceled. I reload the page and start over from the begigning, of course the fare was $100 higher now. I completed the payment sceeen and recvied confermation e-mails form orbitz. I loged on to United and confimred my reservation thorugh the United website. 1.5 hours later, I recived a "reservation cancelation" email form Orbitz. Highly angry, I called Orbitz and was shuffled around through supervisors, 46 mins in total, all saying that the reservation was cancel by somoen who had acess to my account. Orbitz tells me, you account must have been hacked? Yaaa, a hacker who wants to cancel peoplel flights. Total joke......posting one fair and wanting canceling peopls flight to force them to rebook at a higher fare.
