Wow! I can't believe how many other customers have been ripped off by Becky and Dino!

Same story as many others. Initially contacted this company to replace two temple pieces on my eyeglasses. First "ballpark" quote was $50-60. Sent the frames in to Optics Fast. Next price was $105. When reminded that they said it would be $50-60, they reduced to $70.

Advised Becky and Dino that I did not want the repair and to send the frames back. They refused. I then agreed to the repair and was told that the frames were sent to the "lab." After four (4) weeks, I asked the status. I was told they would be ready "next week." Three (3) weeks after "next week", I again asked for the disposition of my frames. Was then given a BS story that the frames had to be sent to a "different" lab. All in all, forty-two (42) e-mails and countless phone calls to determine the disposition of my frames.

By now, it became obvious that Optics Fast is a small time, Mom & Pop, husband and wife, out of their garage, internet rip-off operation. Fortunately, after contacting my credit card company, the charges were reversed with no objection from Dino and Becky.

And here's another devious move by Becky and Dino...I receive, in the mail, a vial of "lens cleaner." The package was registered with the US Postal Service and we had to "sign" for receipt! What they are trying to do, to protect themselves, is be able to prove that they sent the frames back i.e. they will claim that the frames were in the mailing and that we "signed" for them!

This all began on November 19, 2015. To date, December 22, 2015, Becky and Dino still have not returned my frames.

I intend to begin legal proceedings and would be happy to participate in any class action suit against Optics Fast ... that is, if we can find them!

I called Opticfast from an online advertisment. My eye glasses arm had the hinge break off. They told me they would send me a free mailing label to mail it to them for a price estamate. I did on Oct 4, 2017. They recieved the eye glases and said they would repairthe hinge on the arm for $ 79.99. They had me pay them a total of $ 94.94 to cover the $ 79.99 for reoair expenses plus $ 2.95 fo shipping insurance plus $ 12.00 for shipping eye glasses back to me after they repaired them.

That was 4 months ago. t is now going on Jan 4, 2018 and they have never send them back to me. they cashed my payment but told me I'd get the eye glasses back in 3-5 days aftyer they repaired them. the months go by and nothing. Every time I call I speak to I beleive Becky S who gives me a run around. She first said they were repaired and would be shipped out tomorrow. That was in No v. I never got the,. When i called her again she told me that she never tld me that?? Then she said she'd send me an email to what is going on. I never got the email. I called a 3rd time and spoke to het weeks later. She told me that they couldn't locate my eye glasses but would call me tomoorow and send me an email. She never did. This has happeend a few more times. Same answers and she just brushed me off.

Today she told me that my eye glasses were lost. That they couldn't find them. Nothing she can do. I want them to pay me for the $ 94.99 that they had me pay them plus $ 400 to replace my eye glasses localy here in Columbia, MO. I have gone 4 months with no eye glasses and I can not see. I am going blind. I need my eye glasses. I checked under fraud on Opticsfast. They have hundreds of such compaints like mine. Every one says the same thing. They make them send in ther eye glasses and pay for repairs. Cash the funds and then never send them the eye glasses and keep brushing them off. This is a crooked company.

Sent my glasses in for what I thought would be a quick fix. I need new nose and ear pads on my Oakley prescription glasses - 1/2/17. Paid for the repair on 1/18/17. After two weeks started to call on the status. "Delightful" women informed me that the LAB was backed up but it would be shipped on 2/2/17. I sent an e-mail on their website and was responded to by DINO, which I assume is the same women that answers the phone.

DINO infomred me that my glasses would be sent back the week of 2/6/17. My wife decided to follow up on the phone and got the same 'delightful' women that said it would be up to two weeks. At this point it was unacceptable, and I only wanted my glasses back, so I called again. I was accused of 'harrassing' them and she didn't have time for my stories, and my glasses would be destroyed if I called them again.

I requested on numerous occasions that my glasses be simply returned to me and I would pay for the shipping. They said the couldn't do that. I think I am out of a $500 pair of prescription glasses and the $120 repair fee.

Terrible. Run away from this store. I bought a prada sunglasses and they sent me one with signs of use, without the original lenses, without a case, without certificate of origin and wrapped in plastic. I tried contacting her via phone and email and was met by an aggressive person who did not solve anything. I had to suspend the purchase on the credit card and spend money to return the product and the amount was not repaid despite the employee's information that it would be

Several weeks ago i sent a pair of eyeglasses to this company to have them repaired. i checked the companys web site and it said it would cost me 45 dollars for my particular repair ( replacing one end piece) i also called the company for shipping authorization and i specifily told them this is the only work i want done. i also filled out their on line form stating that i only wanted one end piece replaced. a coupel of weeks after i sent them my glasses they sent me an invoice for 185 dollers for other repairs that i did not request nor did i authorize. this company still has my glasses. i am willing to pay the price i was quoted to recieved my property back. if opticsfast is not willing to do this then they can keep my glasses and send me a check for the 200 dollars i originally paid for them

I post this review of OPTICS FAST eyewear repair service in the hopes that someone will read it and avoid my mistake. I wish I had taken the time to read the on-line reviews of OPTICS FAST before sending them my vintage theo frames. That's on me... Had I done so, they would not currently have my frames, have sent them to a wrong address, and refused to refund the price of those theo frames (quite expensive for those who are unaware of the brand).

I fear that my frames are lost forever, due to either total incompetence or something more sinister/criminal. Let me explain. Some six months ago, I sent them my vintage frames which needed some paint touch up as well as nose guards. I was quoted a turn-around time of 1-2 weeks, when I inquired three weeks later, Becky S indicated they were almost ready and would be mailed soon. Two weeks later, after several emails I might add, she indicated that they were sent to the wrong address and the customer was being difficult and suggested I contact him directly. Can you believe it? She provided me with another client's home address and phone number (I won't do the same, though)!

I responded that this was not my job but the company's and requested a refund of fees and cost of frame. I got the following response:

You got the wrong item.

The other customer got the wrong item.

He is shipping it back and so are you.

That is how this issue is being resolved.

Again repeated emails until finally I learned why the customer who apparently has my frames was being so difficult. They have his sunglasses and have failed to produce them, so he's using my frames for what little leverage he can get. The email thread is below:

I don't want the glasses I have no use for them but I am not going to send anything back until I get what I paid for so please do not send me any more emails until I bet a shipping confirmation we have nothing to talk about good day.

Please read the on-line reviews. OPTICS FAST has been called rude, incompetent, disingenuous, surly, a complete fraud, sarcastic, intentionally ripping people off, inept, awful, wretched, nasty, a SCAM, ridiculous, a headache, classic bait and switch, crooked, despicable, sketchy.... I could fill the page with their "accolades." Apparently, they even offer payment for positive reviews. Go figure?!

You should avoid this vendor at all costs! I wish I had. Six months have now passed since I sent them the frames they promised would take only 1-2 weeks to be returned, repaired. Had I listened, at least, I'd have my unrepaired frames; that's more than I can show now after having spent $200 for my theo frames and entrusted them to OPTICS FAST. I have phoned, emailed, tried anything to get some action on their part; they now block my calls and refuse to answer my emails.

I have taken my issue to the NY Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and on-line review posting boards. Please do yourself a favor, or... YOU TOO WILL BE CHEATED!

This company is THE WORST I've ever dealt with. Similar to others, I sent an expensive pair of Serengeti glasses in for lens repair, they delayed and delayed. Two months later, they told me they lost them. I demanded a full refund-- of both the $108 prepayment for service and the value of the glasses. They refused the latter. They refunded my service fee only, and basically stole my $190 glasses. If you have any intention of keeping your sunglasses, stay as far away from this company as you can. I intend to report them to the state attorney general because, as I suspected, mine is not the only example of this. They're essentially stealing people's expensive glasses then reselling them to others. Unbelievable.

WORST customer service ever.

Yuk. OpticsFast is the absolute WORST online company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. No. Wait! They are simply the worst company I have ever dealt with. They make Comcast and ATT seem like model customer support organizations. Thank goodness I never sent them my glasses for repair (thank you to The Frame Mender for the 1 week turnaround and excellent quality repair).

My entire lousy experience with OpticsFast has been limited to their constant badgering messages to send in my glasses. It doesn't matter that I patiently informed them I won't be sending them my glasses. "Why not" was their response. Because, I replied, online reviews for OpticsFast on Yelp and the BBB are dismal (plus they don't quote repairs until they've received the glasses unlike, say, The Frame Mender. With bad reviews and a pig-in-a-poke approach to the quote process, there was no way I was sending them my glasses to hold hostage). "Becky" replied that I was making a huuugh mistake, that they have great reviews with only a few hundred negative reviews because of some overly sensitive customers who complain at the littlest provocation. Not a good sign, I thought. Now, 2 weeks on, I get 1 or 2 daily messages to send in my already-repaired-by-someone-else glasses. Numerous requests to stop sending those messages have gone ignored.

So I gave them fair warning: if they sent me another message, I'd share my miserable experience on every social website I could find. In less than an hour, they replied that they'd already prepaid postage for my glasses and, therefore, I "must pay" them $5.49 to not send them in. I guess they figure their customers don't know or can't find out that Click-n-Ship postage is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase. These guys apparently know and will try every trick in the book to squeeze a few dollars from their customers. I shudder to think what tricks they would have tried if they'd gotten their mitts on my glasses. So here I am posting my experience everywhere I can find.

FWIW, in response to my warning of posting this review, their response was "the more [bad reviews] the merrier". Now that I'm actually posting as I warned them I would, the boneheads are calling my cellphone and threatening to IM and email bomb me. Poor sods apparently haven't heard of email blacklists and IM blocking.

Few businesses suck this much

I ordered frames 7 weeks ago. According to my tracking number it was never mailed. I emailed them frequently, and called a few times. Becky was extremely rude. After 6 weeks I was told that I would have to wait 10 days to 2 weeks before they could make a claim. After 7 weeks I asked for my money back and I was told that they already returned my money to my credit card. I haven't used the card since I bought these frames. A couple of weeks later I had fraud charges on my credit card. There is something very wrong about this business . I look up their rating on the BBB which is a "F". I will check ripoff and bbb next time before I order from a business on the internet.

In March of this year, a propane space heater exploded and melted my eyeglasses (I had 2nd degree burns). The plastic which connects the temple to the front was melted. They were therefore unwearable.I found a repair service online, OpticsFast. I inquired, then sent my glasses in for repair. They sent me an estimate of $74.94, which I paid. In May, they returned them, not only not repaired, but even more damaged. When I opened the package, the glasses fell out in pieces. I contacted OpticsFast; they said "let them see what was done". That's the last I heard from them. I've emailed them repeatedly since and sent a letter detailing this problem. I requested a refund. No response whatsoever. I'm disabled and now have been effectively blind since March. They are not answering my attempts to reach them via email and letter to refund my money. I wouldn't now return my glasses to them for repair since I don't trust them.

I'd like my money back so I can try to get them repaired elsewhere. The website Yelp.com is full of similar complaints, so I have to conclude that this business is scamming people out of money without providing any meaningful service. I've submitted this complaint also to the Mississippi and New York Attorneys General's office.

In November 2015, I sent this "company" a pair of beautiful Christian Dior sunglasses that I purchased for around $500. I made a payment to have these frames repaired with a nose pad replacement and alignment for $100. It has been three months and I have yet to receive these sunglasses back, even after simply asking for a refund and their return. I have exchanged numerous emails with this horrendous "customer service" team. The following are some samples of Becky S.'s responses when I questioned her of the wherabouts of my belongings:

"sometimes fixing a disaster takes time and if a RX order comes in that I get 2000 dollars to do what do you think I will process 1st?"

"I am very sorry but the b**** cant call the lab and ask them to pull the repair out of the racks because there are too many and the b****** at the lab will do nothing for this b**** other then email me a list of all repairs that are complete. But the b**** will email you once the item is back and a tracking # will be sent my friend."

There are hundreds of similar stories online. This company is a criminal organization and is blatantly robbing people. Please share your story and fill out a complaint to the attorney general's office to get OpticsFast investigated and shut down.

They tried to say they lost a lens and requested higher payment. I refused to pay and they (Alex) tried to contact again and again by phone. These folks are a total ripoff. Please Beware! All of their online correspondences go to SPAM. I should have know better. They don't even appear to have an office.

Website advertises "free shipping label." I cancelled the order for eyeglass repair without shipping opticsfast anything. I have since been deluged with emails and text messages (1) demanding payment for the shipping label, and (2) asking why I havn't sent in the glasses and what do I want the company to do. I have replied several times to "cancel" the order and have pointed out that the website advertises a "free" shipping label that they now want to charge for. This has not stopped the emails and text messages. I filed an FCC complaint over the text messages. I'm an attorney, licensed in Arizona and California. If there was an ambiguity in the advertised "contract", legally it will be interpreted against the creator of the ambiguity, opticsfast.

In June I asked them to replace sunglass lenses. In September, after failing twice, they claimed they were owed money for doing work, despite the fact that the work, even by their own admission, was wrong.

They then told me no one could do what I asked, despite the fact that prior to any work being done they had completed a "free evaluation" wherein they determined not only that it COULD be done, btu that they could do it. So, after repeatedly claiming they could do it, then failing, they claimed no one could do what I asked, yet they promised to pay if I found someone who could.

I found someone who could - for $25. Of course, they then refused to pay. I also asked them to refund me for an eyeglass frame overhaul which they never completed. A claimed $15 process. It seemed strange that they fought so hard for a $40 charge, most of which they had already promised to pay, but they did fight it - and left me flabbergasted. Anyway, I'm reporting them wherever I can

Credit Card Scam

OpticsFast.com Credit Card Scam

Opticsfast.com is a fraudulent eyewear repair website claiming to be based out of Brooklyn, New York. Since Opticsfast.com 's inception there have been multiple scams of this nature that have worked to scam users.

The scam works like this: OpticsFast.com gives you a quote on your broken glasses (questimate). You pay their invoice first by credit card, which they add, shipping fees. Mind you posted all over the Opticsfast site is no domestic shipping fees. After that, the scammers have you ship your goods in to their P.O. box in New York, 1204 Ave U #1053 Brooklyn NY 11229-4107.

Once Opticsfast receives your glasses the scammers hold on to them awhile without any communication, this tactic gives the scam artists a window of opportunity to give an appearance of work being performed. After a month or so, this ring of scammers, may or may not, send you back your glasses unrepaired or with an empty package, so that they have a shipping receipt showing a package being delivered to your location.

This shipping receipt is what they use to try justify that they did the repair service with and that you are trying to make a false claim against them. Often this ring of scammers, will display dozens or even hundreds of phony testimonials on their web page. These are false claims used to mislead the unsuspecting buyer. The goal is to trick the victim into making a credit card purchase to steal their credit card information. That’s the reason that Opticsfast holds your merchandise so long. Hardly anyone suspects they are being ripped off for their credit card information, so it gives scam artists a window of opportunity to have a phony credit card made with your card information. Typically, the first inkling that a legitimate customer gets that he or she might be a victim is when he or she receives the unrepaired glasses or the empty package.

It gets even worse: a popular tactic of the OpticsFast.com fraudsters is to have Becky S in customer service cyber bully your email listed on your purchase. Then, almost ironically your credit card you made the Opticsfast purchase with begins to make purchases in Brooklyn and on the OpticsFast.com website.

Don’t be fooled: As you can see, the website looks fairly legitimate at first glance: it’s not difficult for website scammers to spin up a fully functioning and fairly sophisticated website in only a few days.

While there’s no silver bullet for preventing online fraud, you CAN take steps to reduce your risk of becoming a victim. However, if you do fall victim to the Opticsfast fraud, report it promptly to the IRS and your New York State authorities. They have programs in place to help you recover from these scams and help make sure it doesn’t happen again. I sent my glasses to Optifast on June 3, 2015 to put a lens back in. Today is Oct. 7, 2015 and I still have not recieve my glasses back. I called 2 weeks after they recieve them to find out when I will receive my glasses and was told I will get a tracking number when shipped. I called 2 weeks later and ask where are my glasses, said the repair guy went out of the country. Called 2 weeks later and was told they lost my glasses. After some choice words they said we will see if we can find them and hung up. I called last week and they said they are in the repair shop :(. I explain to them I need my glasses to see not for fashion and they said we will call you when repair is done. That was 2 weeks ago. Do not use these people they are a total rip off.
