I purchased a vehicle from Onyx Motors on April 2, 2016 for $4000 cash. A few days later I noticed the A/C wasn't working and the check engine light was on. So I tried to call them several times to discuss the issues, but no answer. So I went up there in person and Toby, the man that sold me the car was never there. When I finally got to discuss the issue with him he said let my mechanic look at it. He didn't say I would be charge for the service until after it was fix. Then he held my car that I already paid for hostage for a day until I paid him. Finally, my take was due to expire an I haven't even had the title yet so I had to get another temporary tag from the DMV.
I keep questioning him about the title. It was excuse after excuse. So I got my tag a month later after the purchase of the car, but my temporary was due to expire again. I had to get another temporary tag from him. I went to the Fayette county tag office to get my GA tag, but couldn't get my car registered because there was no emissions for the car. I was sold a car without an emissions. An employee at the tag office notice some corruption in my bill of sales and title paper work. In which I bought the car from Onyx Motors, but the title to the car paperwork said Tony's Auto. She also discovered fees on my bill of sale in which I was already charged a title and tag fee.
She called Onyx Motors and let him know that he owe d me a check. I was informed that he was going to give me the check. When I got up there, I was ignored and not given the check. Then he said he would take car of everything. Then he asked for the title back. He tried to get me to pay for the parts to fix the car so it could pass emissions. I got the title back a week later and he changed the date to August 2, 2016 to avoid late fees. I finally purchased my tag yesterday for $275. I still haven't received the check from him.
