Online City Tickets Reviews

I purchased Grease Sing Along tickets at the Hollywood Bowl. I went online the day they went on sale and was redirected from my phone to Onlinecitytickets. I thought I was purchasing from the official website, but I was on my phone so I couldn't tell I had been redirected. I paid $1205 for a box of 4 seats, which is an exorbitant amount, but that is on me.

I was enjoying dinner with my family in my seats when the usher came and asked me for my tickets. I had hard copy tickets which were mailed to me a couple weeks before the show. I was then booted from my seats because I was told they were reissued a couple of days ago to another person. The manager at the Hollywood Bowl said I should not have even been able to get scanned it at the front gate! Online City Tickets clearly stole my money and sold the tickets to someone else! They are criminals and have shady marketing practices at best. Do not buy from them!

Bought 3 tickets on december 1st. I didn't realize i was buying third-party as i had gone on the venue site and purchased by seat Guess online city tickets relists there by seat). Here we are - march 15th, the day before my event. My email confirmation told me that i would get my tickets on or before march 14th. I didn't by 7pm on march 14th, so i called. First rep told me, "wait until the end of the day. Call in the morning if they're not there." they weren't, called again. Second rep told me, "the venue is running on a 48 hour delay with the tickets, you should get them by 3pm!" a blatant lie - next i called the venue that i'd be attending for this event and they said, "nope. We don't have anything to do with third party sellers or orders." great! called another time, at 3pm. Third rep says, "well, i can't see where your seller is located. Maybe 3pm for them is 6pm for you." uh, what? True, but whatever, i guess i'll wait even though none of you know what you're talking about. Meanwhile each rep asked me a different thing for confirmation Last 4 card digits, zip code associated, email...) at nearly 6pm, i called the number for them listed on the better business bureau site. Got the manager, roberto. He tells me that the emails don't give a time frame, only a date, and that my event is tomorrow, so they have until then to be sent to me. I tell him he shouldn't have his company send an email months in advance saying i'll get them by such-and-such date but still not receive them nearly two days later when it's been four months! they should know who they're working with and be able to tell me where their sellers are, no wonder they're not reputable at all! they don't care! they have a lot of crappy terms & conditions and i have seen a lot of other people's reviews and complaints about no refunds, so if i don't get my tickets, and then after that if i don't get a refund, i'm seeking legal action. Enough is enough with this company. Maybe i'll even get the attorney general involved, because this is ridiculous. I spent way too much on these tickets to let it go - and my mother bought tickets at the box office for less than half of what i paid on this site! then i pretty much paid the price for 4 tickets instead of 3 because of how much their service fee is Ridiculous. You're emailing them to me)... Tell everyone you know to double check their third party purchases or just simply go to the box office themselves!!! will not make this mistake again!!!!

Disney on Ice in Denver - I had ordered box seats for show and arrived over an hour before the show. My tickets were missing. After calling OTC multiple times I was told to call the driver who would NOT answer his phone. Will found the tickets that were delivered for the wrong night (previous night). I spent an hour on the phone being put on hold, repeatedly told to call the driver since it was his error.

I finally had to buy new tickets at the last minute for over $100 for horrible seats and missed the first few acts. The vendor assured me (several hours after the show) that it was his error and it would be resolved on Monday and he'd call me back. No one called and no refund was issued.

I followed up filing claims, submitting photos of the wrong tickets, my new tickets, confirmations, and screen shots of messages from the vendor and I still haven't been offered a resolution for a simple refund?

They are very difficult to deal with. Their website even states "100% guarantee". Worst customer service ever. So far 2 seats for Disney On Ice has cost me $400 now for a show I was forced to miss the first quarter over due to the fiasco at Will Call. Very unprofessional.

On June 28, 2017 I bought tickets on-line for an Amos Lee concert at Red Rocks for a show on Sunday July 16, 2017. I paid $164.00 for two tickets. When trying to enter Red Rocks for the concert with my tickets purchased from On-line city tickets I was told that the tickets were not valid and that the event code was not legitimate. I had to purchase two legitimate tickets for $101.50 to be able to attend the concert. I called the bank so that they could file a dispute. Also my debit card had to be cancelled. A 1-800 number was listed but it requires that you put in an order number or your phone number. Once you do that, a recording tells you that: "This order is for an event that has already passed "and you are subsequently disconnected.

Purchased Luke Bryan tickets for June 24, 2017 at Mansfield, MA back in March as a birthday present. I bought premier seats since Luke is one of her favorite country artists. Total spent came out to around $500.-

Concert Day....I'm a first responder, girlfriend is a registered nurse, both had to burn vacation time. I packed up coolers, purchased food and we made our way to Mansfield Xfinity Center for the show. We ended up tailgating and had a nice time with other concert goers in the parking lot.

As it got closer to the headliners, we made our way into the event. I had just PRINTED the tickets out at my station on the way to the event that were included in an e-mail from Online City Tickets. She went first and as the event worker scanned the ticket we were told that the tickets were duplicates and had already been used. I then tried my ticket and the same thing happened.

We were told to call the seller (Online City Tickets), I sat on the phone for 15 mins just to speak to someone, ended up reaching "Trent". Trent then put me back on hold and said he would attempt to make contact with the seller. After another 5 mins on hold, he then told me that he would be e-mailing directions on what I would have to do in order to resolve the ticket dispute. I then attempted to purchase tickets at the gate, however the show was sold out.

Was I frustrated? Yes. Could I have been a little nicer on the phone? Yes. However, after spending all the time, money and both of us taking off time from work, I think anyone in the same situation would be extremely upset.

This is the FIRST time in my life that I have spent time filing a complaint. I normally deal with things as they come and realize mistakes can be made. Online City Tickets was extremely quick to collect the money I spent on the tickets, but they provided subpar service, made NO effort to get us into the show and left both of us extremely disappointed.

Good News though....Luke Bryan is coming to New Hampshire in August. I will be using Ticketmaster and more reputable companies from here on out. Buy beware when dealing with Online City Tickets! You have been warned!

Feel ripped off

I paid $69 for $35 seats, would never use this service again

I had purchased tickets through this website and paid $150 per seat for Cirque de Soleil and found the that the people next to me - in Section 104, Row V, had paid $40 for the exact same seats. Now I can see a difference of $10-$50 per ticket but $110 / tickets was an exorbitant amount!! I wrote to online city tickets w/my concerns/complaint but have no expectations of ever hearing from them. I just want others to not make the same mistake by using this company for any events they may want to attend.

I consider myself to be a savvy shopper, and I do my best to shop on trusted sites that are legitimate. When I was looking for concert tickets, I Googled the show and this website came up, so that was where I shopped. I purchased tickets on February 10, 2016. The face value printed on the tickets was $35.

Had I known this was not the official site, I NEVER would have completed the purchase. While I was looking at tickets and pricing, there was no indication what the face value of the tickets were from the venue. I purchased 2 $35 tickets ($70 total) and was charged $184.30 for them. That's almost three times the amount of the face value of the tickets. This was for a show that ended up having ticket sales so low that everyone who had purchased a lawn seat was upgraded to a regular seat. It does not appear to be a fair business practice to charge prices like this at all, let alone give the appearance of selling seats at a cost not clearly stated to have an astronomical markup. Had I realized this, I would have closed my browser and sought out the main ticket purveyor, which I now know to be Live Nation.

I contacted the reseller and they said that they state plainly that they are a reseller and it was market value of the tickets for their demand. Which is not possible, because the entire lawn was upgraded, which indicates exactly how undersold the show was. They inflated the price by inventing the idea of demand that did not exist.

Their offer to me was a $20 refund, which is not approaching close to the amount I was charged. They should be held responsible for the price gouging if they are not going to cap the amount of money they charge above the value of a ticket.

I want to advocate for other consumers out there who end up on sites like this where brokers bilk customers out of a lot of money in the name of demand and capitalism. It should not be allowed to happen. Thank you.

I bought theater tickets through Online City Tickets. The cost of the ticket was 55.00. I purchased 7 tickets. I understand that there are additional fees connected to the value of the tickets. This is usually a handling fee of 10.00 to 15.00, plus some taxes. So I expected the cost of each ticket to be around 70.00. Imagine my surprise when I was billed 845.00.

At no time did I ever get an itomized accounting of the additonal changes, just a confirmation to print my tickets. When I called them, I only got an automated voice tree. I was never able to talk to a live person to determine what the additional charges were for.

I asked my credit card compnay to only authorize payment on my card for 490.00 and object to the remainder. On line Tickets offered my a refund of 7. on the total cost of the tickets.

This company totally riped me off by more than doubling the cost of the tickets. It ruined my theater expereince with my family.

I placed an order for billy joel tickets which i thought were 130 some dollars . I didn't realize until after check out that i was charged 699! I immediately called the company and they refused to give me a refund even though their website says 100% money back guarantee. These tickets are THE WORST SEATS IN THE BALL PARK!!!
