The client service from this designer was nonexistent. I never felt like a priority to her. Every time I talked, texted or emailed with her she would use her children as an excuse as to why things were not done or why things were done incorrectly. She frequently commented that I was overusing and wasting her time. Most times if I had a question or comment I would get a diatribe about how it cannot be done only to figure out myself. She designed a kitchen that didn't work at all. I had to call in an architect to fix her design. She wasn't on site to check anything that arrived or to instruct the contractors. She lives in New Jersey and it was just too difficult for her to get in. Apparently she's never heard of public transportation because she could only drive her huge expensive Denali and then make me feel bad that she had to pay for parking. The only time she would come in as if she had another meeting which she made me very aware of, most times having to rush out because she had to get her kids from school. She got an estimate for countertops that was 300 times the price that she had budgeted for me. She ordered cabinets in the wrong color and tried to play it off like it was a purposeful choice. I Don't even live in the apartment yet and the cabinets are falling apart. She designed a kitchen without knowing where the drainage was for the sink or knowing where the stack was for the building. She took the contractors word instead of being on site and making sure for herself . She didn't even know the square footage of the countertops I would need even though she designed the space! She designed a New York City kitchen apartment with two blind corners that are completely useless insisting that that was the absolute best And only design possible. I was never even offered a second option.

Once the cabinets were already ordered and on-site, sitting there for two weeks, the contractor realized the design wouldn't work. Her solution was to put the dishwasher in front of the sink so that you had to reach over the dishwasher door into the sink ( which was physically impossible for me) and a completely unworkable (and horrible for resale) option that again she insisted was the only and best solution. I fired her from sourcing all decor because she kept insisting on mid century modern style when I specifically said I didn't want that. I think she must be completely technologically unsavvy because she made the biggest deal of doing mood boards and space planning mock ups which take minutes to draft and I did better ones on polyvore and Houzz. Contractually she was supposed to be at the apartment twice a week, she was there less than once a week. She didn't actually over see anything that she was contractually required to do and this is her contract! She used my credit card to make purchases without my prior consent and without me even seeing a photo of what she was ordering! She was incredibly pushy and when she didn't get her way she would cry on the phone, make excuses, and berate me for making choices that she deemed unsatisfactory, insisting that I'm going to be very unhappy with the end product if I don't buy the things she is suggesting. She purchased everything on Wayfair basically.

She never took notes, she didnt follow up with me on emails in a timely manner, she was disorganized, too personal, and overly emotional. She would become angry if I texted her about items that were wrong in the apartment. She wasn't onsite to see them- how else is she going to know? She wouldn't assume blame on things that were clearly her fault or oversight. She recommended contractors who have a similar mentality of passing blame and not completing projects in an organized or timely fashion. I hired her so that I didn't have to project manage this renovation myself and so that I had a trusted professional who knew what they were doing as this was my first time doing a renovation. I had to be on site twice a day and report back to her like I was her assistant instead of her providing client service to me. She was absolutely useless and caused me many fitful nights and frustrating, stressful days. She was manipulative, and played the victim often, frequently talking about her personal life and how difficult it was to juggle everything, although she has a nanny, her kids go to school, and her husband is well paid ( he works for one of my clients). I Should have fired her when she made the first excuse (her mom needed her and she then her kids got the flu) instead of enduring weeks of her b*******.

She is a complete and total fraud who uses personal issues as excuses to why she's incapable of doing her job, which is absolutely appalling and even more so when it comes to business. I am in client service myself and would never treat my clients the way I have been treated throughout this process.
