RE: 1B5227880 / Overpayment of $7,258

March 11, 2018

Dear Casey:

This situation is causing me undo stress and has put me in a bad financial position. Consumer Affairs shows that NF states “New Frontier Van Lines promises to be professional.” BBB shows that Safe Load in West New York, NJ has a “D” rating. I am hoping that you are willing to demonstrate your professionalism and settle this matter on Monday.

Just to review some of the highlights:

1. Bid that we initially agreed to be $5,653 based on 9900 lbs.

2. Updated bid was for $14,171 based on 19,390 lbs.

3. I was not permitted to rescind the contract.

4. The weight of the same belongings less a heavy desk was 10,080 lbs. (10/5/15) which is immaterial since we have the actual weight. Even Alex, the mover from Safe Load, thought the estimated weight was absurd and acknowledged that the adjusted weight of 9500 lbs. was reasonable. I was the sixth delivery from the same truck!

5. The weight is 9500 lbs. and that is not disputable. You sent the rate in your initial bid. You were informed about this major discrepancy on 3/8/18 in the morning at 1 PM EST.

After considering all of these events and my conversation with you on Friday, I propose that New Frontier makes this a top priority Monday

and we set up a wire for the refund-I will provide you wiring

instructions. I am allowing you three business days (deadline March

13th, 1 PM EST) to send me an adjusted statement based on the

attached spreadsheet, credit my credit card, and arrange a wire for

the balance.

Very cordially,

I was quoted a price of approximately $2100. The day before I received a call to confirm the amount of cargo. I told the guy I had approximately 30 plastic bins and 10 boxes. I also had forgotten to include a small safe and an aluminum ladder. I was told that the inventory only showed cardboard boxes and not plastic totes and toes weigh more. As a result I would be charged an additional $585 dollars. I balked and said to forget it.

I was then told I would lose my deposit.I said ok I was fine with that. A few minutes go by and 'm contacted by Mr Olis who assured me I would be only charged the weight and not to worry as the truck gets weighed prior to and after my truck is loaded. I relented and paid the increased fees. When the truck came it wasn't weighed and since the truck and drivers were subcontracted by New Frontier it was out of their control.Since I was assured by Mr Olis I went with the move.

When the driver showed up at my new home the truck was followed by a car with two men in it. Truck was never weighed and I had to pay the ballance. The men got out and started helping the driver. The one guy and I started to speak and he tells me that he and the other guy were down the road at the gas station and the driver stopped and asked if they wanted to make a few bucks. I know have two strangers from the neighborhood knowing I have a safe. The driver tells the two they are done and goes to me, how much did i pay them? I said that was between the three of us.

Horrible never again

*CAUTION*THIEVES* This is not a moving company they are brokers and they brokered all of my belongings to a company that they say is "American Eagle Moving LLC”. Two months ago I watched all of my stuff get loaded into a box truck and " its 3 days from delivery” every time I call. They have no idea where in transit my things are and have no way of telling me exactly when I will get my belongings. We are currently opening an investigation towards this company. This is the biggest scam of a company that has free will to exist under our constitution. That was everything I owned and cared about which was robbed from me and family.STAY AWAY FROM NEW FRONTIER VAN LINES.

For starters i want to say that customer service is ok but everything i was told was way off. I submitted information online and 15 minutes later i received a call and another and another. I was overwhelmed and started going through my voicemail where i heard a calming voice from New frontier vanlines i decided to call them back everythibg sounded great and the agent told me she was going to over quote me and it would be adjusted later , she was very detailed and the reviews online looked good so i put down a 866 deposit to be held. I signed up but my husband said that we should look closer we found they are a new company just a couple months old, i was told by the rep they were in buissness 12 years. I went through my home a couple more times and relized my box count was under by 23 so i called to adjust it. I was told wait till closer to my move. I didnt think that was a problem and agreed.

3 days before my move i got a call saying my move would be revised. At that time i told them my dresser and 23 boxes wouldnt come along. I was told that reguadless off taking those items off the list that my payment structure needed a extra payment of $339.07 i told them that i would instead like to cancel they told me i would lose deposit to them and they had already brokered my job out. I then read my contract and noticed that i was indeed stuck. I paid the 339.07. They said it would be adjusted. When looking at the ticket i noticed it was from another company i asked about it and i was immediately hung up on. I got a call that day and told that was a company they owned but could find no proof on google.

The mover arrived on time but were very rude and not as careful as i would have hoped for $2859. I told the movers to wrap my hummels better they are fragile and in a very rude tone told me we didnt pay for it. I then express that the price i paid was alot more then other companies and i was informed that the jon was brokered and he knew what he was doing. I was told arrival would be 3 weeks later. I was out of town for a couple days so i didnt mind.

Well 46 days later i received my items. My hummels were ok but my tv and my coffee table were severely damaged. When i called i was told to call the moving company that bought my job. The company that picked it up told me it wasnt worth my time that i would receive $25.67 refund in 3 weeks if i went well. I would recommend thinking twice about this company if you have fragile items at all costs.

I was contacted my a young woman that seemed pretty professional we went through my invemtory and she said that my move was going to be a maximum of 3830 based on a over estimation i would receive weigh ticket. I gave them 950 2 days before my move a quality assurance agent called me and said that i should add 10 boxes at the end he said that i needed to put another 1500 on hold to be adjusted . When the mover arrived it was a company i had never heard from i was told that New frontier was a broker and that my paymemts did not go towards my move and that i had a balance of 3737 i did not receive weigh ticket and i called but received no return call for 2 days. When i told them i would leave a review via email they told me their contract said in fine print that i would be sued for 25000 dollars if i left on yelp , yellow pages , any consumer site. I still couldnt reach anyone so a week later i contacted my lawyer he finally got a hold of them 3 weeks later when i was told would be delivered when the company got to it. Im just hoping my items are in one piece. Its been 2 months and i paid 6226 total for below average service.
