Harassing me, calling me ten times a day. They say I co signed a student loan and are going to debit my account. Which in fact my mother in law signed that loan and she is dead now.

I am a co-signer on 3 of my partner's private student loans with Navient. We have had issues with them ever since they have gone into repayment status. When he was working on his internship for his master's degree, we filled out the paperwork to have the payments deferred, SURPRISE, he didn't qualify and he was told that the internship deferment wasn't eligible for those loans, after he was told that they were. Then in January (2016), they were supposed to go into default, it was 3 months later before they actually did, 8 months after the loans had gone into default, which last time I checked was 240 days when the standard is 120. During those 3 months, we offered Navient a payment that we could afford but were told that they "couldn't do that amount" because the lowest they could go on the interest rate was 1%. Once the loans were actually "transferred" to a 3rd party collection agency, the interest rate surprisingly went to 0.001% and was told by the collection agency that making the payments (auto payment) would be reported on our credit report but that was an outright lie, because according to Courtney at Navient, the payments will just reduce the balance and couldn't explain why TransUnion shows it being closed and Experian shows it being open but both show as charged-off. Normally when a company charges off an amount, it shows a ZERO amount on your credit report and in their systems and the balance is transferred to the collection agency, which will not allow you to view your account nor make additional payments once an auto payment is set up. I'm glad that I have transferred all of my federal loans from Navient to another company that is much easier to work with and won't tell you something different every single time you call them.

Ten years ago I attended school at M.T.I. I needed a co-signer, which I received. I persued my education with I.T.T., to obtain my Bachelor's degree. I should only have one private loan with Sallie Mae, but they say I have a total of four. My balances are not going down. I am disabled and unable to work, due to my condition. I have tried several times to get these loans discharged and the company(Navient, A.K.A.-Sallie Mae) are not working with me. They tell me I have credit cards and a car payment, which is a result of idenity theft. I don't inderstand, they are making monthly payments. I am having to investigate this issue as well. Back to the private loans, I feel that they have overcharged me and not working with me and putting me into a spiral downfall with these loans. I am on the brink of a mental break down. Please help me!

I always pay my bills on time and never have missed a student loan payment in 15 years. My student loans were sold to Navient and have had nothing but a head ache and hours of my life lost on phones. I made my last payment to ACS (last company that owned my student loans) in July and have bank statement proving it. In August I made Navient a payment per statement I received. Well then in September I'm getting over due notices and they are stating I'm over due and owe for July and for late fees. I have spent hours and hours on the phone, faxed them bank statements showing checks were cashed for student loans in July and in August and should be up to date. Now I don't want to make a payment because they are going to apply it to a payment I do not owe and for late fees I do not deserve. I speak to people and they promised they will fix it and send me a correct statement and they never do. I spoke to a manager and they told me I have to pay them for July also and it was tough.

I want a corrrect bill before I pay so I know my payment is not going for a payment already paid or late fees I do not owe.
