I hired Nationwide Windows and Sinding to reside my house. Once we agreed on a price, I told the rep we also need wood and he disagreed. They gave me several discounts but later I find I needed the wood I asked for in the beginning. They Charged me an additional $2700.00 for the plain plywood and charged me $60.00 a plank and for installation. I thought we paid for instalation when we paid for the siding in the contract. Although they did a good job they nickel and dimed me for the original price. I have a small home and believe I was ripped off.
Thank you for voicing your concerns. We believe that we shouldn't charge our clients for anything unless necessary. When we are replacing siding and ripping off your existing siding there is really no way to know if you need plywood or not. We spell out exactly what we are going to install on all of our agreements so that there is no confusion. On every one of our agreements there is a rotten wood clause just in case plywood or other unforeseen necessary wood is needed.
Would you have rather us charge you $2700 up front and not need any additional plywood? Do you think that would be fair?
