John Houston Floyd a/k/a Jay Lansing or John Patriciana will get a signed contract and collect a deposit then you will never get the work done and never see your deposit returned. The excuses will start coming as to why he cannot do the job and then excuses of how he is going to refund the deposit, all of which are lies. Even if the price is low and seems like a good deal and you are promised a good product, you will never get the work performed under the contract and you will end up trying every way possible to get your deposit returned without any luck.
Then come to find out that John Houston Floyd opens a new company under a new name and is no longer at the address listed on your contract. Beware of John Houston Floyd as he cannot be trusted to complete the work and you will end up like a lot of people with their money gone!!! If you have been a victim, please do everything possible to report this person to the local authorities and file a report. There are good contractors out there but John Floyd is not to be trusted.

I had a trailer for the shingles delivered and it sat in the drive for 6 weeks. Royal oak office is closed now. No one will answer the phone. Will not return my alls or text.

Sent non licensed and uninsured sub contractors to perform 1 day of work in over a months time (using my existing materials).
Was quick to take my cashiers check depost if $5750 but after repeated lies, I received a day's worth of work. The work was just a start to the framing. In the walk through I was told the stud spacing would be 16" on center and I received 24" on center. Sub contractor was told by John to do this. Now I need to tear down and redo because drywall will take more time and insullation will be more expensive.
Repeatedly sent texts on excuses for delays when during the walk through stated he could start immediately.
Stated at time of contract that he had ordered supplies but an excuse along the way was that we were waiting on materials to be ordered and delivered. Stated that my township permit office was causing delays but my permit office stated it was Nationwide and John having the issues. Permit was not completed and did not match any level of detail stated by John.
Requested my deposit back but again John has made excuses on why we have not received the deposit check back.
He has a criminal record with a prior conviction for false pretenses. He does not pay sub contractors he hires. Do not trust him or Nationwide.
I went with Nationwide Construction because they were the lowest quote. After over a month of delays and daily excuses, I reget the decision.
