Wow

I literally just paid these people and am reading these reviews. I was honestly in good spirits after talking with Mr. Troy Nelson. I went and sat down with my soon to be exwife and our daughter. She was actually trying to reason with me about the custody and visitation of our daughter and i wasn’t trying to hear it simply because i had all this false hope from this National Family Solutions company. I seriously feel betrayed and stupid after reading all these reviews. Why would anyone want to take advantage of someone who is going through hardships in life, or marriage, or custody of children. Do these people not realize that depression is real! That financial hardships are real! Wow. Now it’s back to the drawing board. Thanks National Family Solutions.

They promised to help me with my child cusotdy case, half way through they wanted me to pay it all upfront because people have been known not to pay them. I needed help so I paid them. They gave me advise, made me a document to file, and had a court prep. Then I found out that their advise was wrong, their lawyer in my area didn't check out, and out of all the documents, only one as used. Afer contacting them, and just trying to find out and give them achance to fix it, they promised I will hear from the lawyer. I got an email from them listing random lawyers and telling me to contact one of those. Then they blocked me from being able to call them, for no reason at all. I ended up being unprepaed for court, was bullied by the other persons lawyer and the judge Also, had to face the fake evidance without knowing h*o to fight it. They are worst than SCAM, they put other kids in danger and change their lives in bad ways. They need to be shut down!

According to Troy Nelson aka Troy Neighbors, telemarketing trainer, at least $75 of the initial $100 payment goes to the telemarketer's commission check. A "case manager" immediately has consumers sign a Terms of Use, whereby the consumer consents to whatever the telemarketer said to make the sale. If the consumer complains, he will be threatened with legal action or of having the actual cost of up to $1300 sent to a collection agency. Are they a :"mother's rights" advocacy group, or a "father's rights" advocacy group, or a "grandparents" rights advocacy group;?' You Decide. According to Bizapedia, the officers of National Family Solutions are: Eric James Campbell, Santa Barbara, CA , and Anita Youabian, Los Angeles, CA . this review is offered in the interests of nationwide consumer public safety. I am a former employee of National Family Solutions at 114 East Haley Street, Suite C, in Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Mr. Troy Neighbors aka Mr. Troy Nelson, is the employee appointed by Mr. Eric Campbell (an owner of NFS), to train new employees.

I offer the following questions as protected constitutionally guaranteed free speech (I have never agreed to or signed a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement with NFS), in the hopes of empowering any potential future employee or future client, so that they may make better informed decisions.

I was inspired to write this review after I received a call from the EDD after I was laid off immediately after my 90 day training period. I was informed by the EDD that Mr. Campbell’s attorney had sent the EDD a letter threatening to sue me for fraud if I filed for unpaid overtime.

I offer the following rhetorical questions for your consideration.

Is it vulgar, unconscionable, unethical, immoral, and does it demonstrate bad faith:

For a company to have an employee like Mr. Troy Neighbors aka Mr. Troy Nelson train its new employees to claim that it is headquartered at an empty office in Century City in Los Angeles when their physical “working” address is in Santa Barbara in order to avoid being served?

For a company to have an employee like Mr. Troy Neighbors aka Mr. Troy Nelson yell and scream at trainee employees telling them that they are “WEAK” if they try to help potential clients with their family legal problems rather than focusing on the “MONEY?”

For a company to have an employee like Mr. Troy Neighbors aka Mr. Troy Nelson train employees to not listen to potential clients who try to ramble on and on about their family legal problems, but to instead, just focus on collecting the $100 fee like he does, and to hang up on clients if they have no money and joke about the line being disconnected?

For an owner of a company to compare himself to a “n**i” in a sales meeting?

For an owner of a company to ridicule and mock potential clients because they are often impoverished and uneducated by sending an email to employees of outrageous Jerry Springer Clips and state “Our Clients” in the subject line?

For an owner of a company to declare to employees that it is because their clients are so in need of personal improvement, that he is considering increasing the cost of services in order to trick potential clients that they will receive a discount on their legal services if they agree to view links to personal enrichment videos and write reviews (in the hopes that by “improving” themselves, that they will be less likely to ask for refunds or write a bad reviews)?

For an owner of a company to have threatening collection letters sent to the impoverished, who believed that they were receiving legal help for their child custody cases for $100 only to discover that they needed to pay significantly more?

For an owner of a company, as a matter of policy, to threaten and bully employees and clients with scary attorney letters threatening lawsuits with causes of actions that are merely projections of the company’s own documented transgressions?

My father offered to pay $100 to get my case started they never said anything about additional money etc. I found out they only helped online would not represent so I decided not to go with them. They have been taking money out of my father's credit card for almost 7months now. We have been calling the bank & national family. No one picks up!! They were no help @ all!! For 100$ it was ridiculous I got nothing.

So three weeks ago I contacted a company called National Family Solutions to help in get in court to possibly get custody of my children from their mom and abusive boyfriend. So after I paid them the $100 initiation fee and the $59 for the case manager service to avoid supposedly high lawyer hourly fees. I was given a full price of $1250 so I set up a pay plan for three weeks $300 then $350 then the remaining so after my first payment I had a funny feeling about the company. So then I decided to go to the internet and do some research on them and what do you know their all over the internet for taking money amongst bad service so with that being said I asked and sent in my refund request a guy by the name of Phil said it'll be 1-3 business to receive a decision and of course I just received it and they gave me a list of excuses and reasons not to refund me anything not to mention they tried to charge me again after I sent in my request for a refund! This company did absolutely nothing with my case whatsoever but steal my money whose to say if I would've paid them everything they probably would've disappeared not to mention I had to ask for a receipt 3 times and finally got it days later. Stay away from National Family Solutions.

I gave them $1250 for my custody case plus $59 a month for 4 times so I actually gave them $1486.

They are preying on the emotions of Parents who are in custody battles and no their are somethings you cannot do in the court room.

They do not complete or provide any services promised

Update: the district attorney's office Petitioner) investigated them for illegal conduct...Unauthorized practice of law...Operation of an unregistered lawyer referral service, violation of the legal document assistant statute, and false advertising...State bar sent a cease and desist letter...Nfs has engaged in unauthorized practice of law...In furtherance of its investigation, the da's office issued an investigative subpoena... They are not legit, they are using their own reviews...Even on linkedin...Read them!

The initl guy you will speak to will lie to you about 1. Providing you with legal advice from a lawyer. Or 2. Representing you in your legal case.

The questionnaire that this "empathetic" guy will rave about to you I'll update this with his name soon) is just the main part of the scam. You will not talk to a lawyer at the start, middle, or end of receiving your crummy final product. You will however be promised it. You will be asked to give as much information about your personal narration, but all the bare minimum essential national family solutions workers will get from the narrative is your name, birth date, child's name, birthdate...To put it into Copy and paste) to 1 document that you will wait two months to receive. Not a finished product. The financial section isnt important. It's not even requested on the document they will fill out with your "crucial, very important, on god, narrative section". The final product is so bleak, it would be funny if they were not playing a real lawyers and legal representation game. You will waste more air talking to them, than the copy and paste name, birthdate, child's name, etc. Document you'll get.

They must be scamming a lot of people or will just try to extend your patience by making you wait two months for 1 document from legalaide.com with the title of the petition you need, your name, birthdate, child's name, birthdate information filled out in the 1 page document. This is all you will be spending your $1,300 + on. I can cringe and those who spent more for " at court legal representation" ghost bs. They are in cali after all, not all 50 states, with good business connections everywhere. The other reviews who rave about being saved by this real, righteous " family rights advocacy" thing only have 1 reviews on their entire google existence. You will read, attached to the 1 document, that the transfer of this document does not start any type of lawyer/client relationship Or advice, guide...). The legal aide relationship is terminated at the receiving of 1 document. Your life is worth more than this, trust me. They will not even represent you or your narrative section, financial information, or anything else on paper. They will not give you "all the necessary paperwork". They are just preying on vulnerable people in vulnerable situations. I can't imagine how hard the climate in cali is to want to work for an illegitimate business. They're exploiting vulnerable people in vulnerable situations. They'll say that they cant let you talk to the lawyer because you're paying for such a discounted service, that the lawyer cant talk to you until they've completed all of the necessary paperwork specifically pertaining to your case, but the "legal aide professional/client relationship" is terminated after they send you that 1 document, with, again, your name, birthdate, address, child's name, child's address. You could have spent those two months not worthelessly communicating with them. If you pay them, congratulations you just wasted time and money.

Just to expose more names, my case manager was steve turner.

Check out this bs, from their own words ---------------------

Over the last year I have had an on going custody battle with my daughters father. Some agreements that were made have turned out to be detrimental to my daughter mental health. Due to limited finances I was unable to obtain an attorney to represent myself and my daughter. I have been seeking out low cost attorneys and Community Agency's in an attempt to find affordable family law attorneys. On 05/27/09 and 05/28/09 I went out onto the internet and began filling out inquires on the internet. Someone called me back immediately from Family Solutions, I did not call Family Solutions they pulled my name and information from another firms information request form on the internet. Yury Goodman and Karen Nixon who is the Manager called me back. Scott Burmaster said, he would be the attorney who would be handling my case and I needed to go out to the internet and fill out the forms and answer all the questions on the internet site. He said, they would not begin the paperwork or filling out the court documents until the full $1000.00 was paid, however, I could begin making payments of $100.00. I gave him my ATM card number, they deducted $100.00 for the first payment on 05/28/09. On Monday June 1, 2009 I received a call from Scott Burmaster, after my funds cleared my bank, he stated they will not appear or represent me in court, because they were not attorneys, as previously stated however they would prepare my statements and information that I supplied on the internet and put the information into court document format and I would have to represent myself in court. I told them that I wanted my money refunded back to me, because they had misrepresented themselves as attorneys, and that they are an internet scam, their company did not tell me the truth until my money cleared my bank. Yury Goodman stated to me that the money would not be refunded and that they do not refund money. I told Yury Goodman that I was going to put a stop payment on the $100.00 and file a claim with my bank and notify the California State Bar Association, and Better Business Bureau. My son called me upset that his ex-girlfriend was not letting him see his daughter. He was getting her every weekend. I found National Family Solutions online. I called and talked to Troy Nelson. He sympathized with me and promised me the world.

Troy said that they would get all the court documents and information on how to file for custody. They would tell my son what to say, how to act, what to wear. I should not worry. I live in Florida, my son lives in Pa.

Then I was emailed by Justin Delp. He was a case worker. We had to fill out a questionnaire , which we did. We then got an email that our case report was ready, but we had to pay in full before receiving any information. We were told by Troy we could make payments, but Justin said no we had to pay in full.

My son was so desperate and could not afford an attorney. I thought if they could do what they said they would it would be worth it. So we charged the $1050.00 on my credit card.

Then we waited two more weeks. They emailed the documents and information on filing. The information was incorrect. I had to call family court. When I finally got through I was told he could not use the documents. He had to come in person fill out paperwork. They then set up an arbitration and all was taken care of.

If they did the research like they said they would. I could have called and completed the process in a day. I did not need anything they gave me. If you are not using an attorney, all you need to do is go to court fill out papers and have a hearing.
