This company is a rip off on so many levels. They use unlicensed agents to sell policies, some with felonies for forgery and bank fraud and allow them to record your credit card and bank account numbers. One of their agents admitted that she failed the test for licensure twice, and is selling policies daily. The unlicensed agents impersonate other agents and give their clients the wrong name. This practice alone constitutes fraud.

Also, the agents are told by their supervisors like Josh Westendorp, Jamie Breidegam, and Alan Redmond to strongarm people into giving them their account and credit card numbers and charge their accounts without their consent, and then they instruct their employees to lie and blame the mistake on the carrier.

They talk their clients into cancelling policies from reputable, ACA complient companies like Blue Cross and UHC by lying to them and telling them that their premiums are going to double and that the company won't pay claims. They then convince them to accept their substandard, non-ACA complient policies with no prescription coverage, a $25,000 limit and a $5,000 deductible, and keep all that infomation secret until the policy is sold.

Also, these unlicensed agents sell policies to people with Asthma, diabetes, breast cancer, high blood pressure, and other diseases which will not cover their preexisting conditions and does not offer them prescriptions for these illnesses.

When interviewing with this company, prospective employees are lied to about the benefits and pay they will receive, and if they are challenged on any of their lies, that employee is immediately fired.

This company exploits poor, middle class, sick and unemployed Americans for their own profit. Its owners purposely hire young, naive individuals, most of whom have no insurance experience so that they don't know how frequently their bosses are breaking the law. They then set up quotas which enable them to dock the pay of these young people. This is a company of pimps, liars and cheats. Avoid this company like the plague that it is.

Agree

I personally worked for this company and was let go two days before a department of insurance investigation to cover I was the top sales person. I did not know all they had me do was illegal , but was informed directly from the department of insurance that it was and I needed to stop. The owner has you elicit business from individuals whom should NOT have replaced their policy and had you sell short-term medical to individuals whom had pre-existing conditions. They are being allowed by the state to still operate even after all this was brought to light from other individuals whom had broken the law as well. The owner has a "I'm God" additude that no-one can touch him. I agree completely with the first statement

Company should be shut down and owner/ management need to go to jail

Everything about this company is horrible. They call non-stop, lie about their products they sell, charge you for insurance even though you have cancelled. They take advantage of people and then you can't get ahold of anyone to help resolve your issue.

I recently worked at this cancer of a business called National Brokers of America from Feb 2016-March 2016. First, I was interviewed by the human resource manager named Ornella. Few days later I was offered the position of a fronter which entailed me receiving and making 500-1000 inbound/outbound calls daily trying to convince people (mainly elderly naive people) to sign up for their insurance. Many callers werent even aware they actually would receive a call from this company because they were just online browsing their insurance options. I was trained with a fronter script saying we work very closely with over 30 A rated carriers such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, etc etc. When in all reality we never worked with any A rated carriers only about 3 C rated carriers. As a fronter, I was guaranteed a salary of $750 per week for the first two weeks as stated in my welcoming email that I received from the vice president of the company named Bradley Butler. So after only 3 days I was promoted from a fronter to a customer service rep. As a customer service rep my salary of $750 a week was "GUARANTEED PERMANENTLY" as stated by the human resource manager named Ornella Sciumbata who pulled me inside the meeting room and offered me the promotion from a fronter to a customer service rep. This was cool because the pressure of being a fronter was alleviated. As a fronter you receive $25 per deal that you send to the closers (licensed agents some even unlicensed) and they end up closing and/or signing the customer up. After your two week "trial period" of making $750 a week as a fronter you are NO LONGER guaranteed $750 a week. Instead, you are only paid on how many deals that close for your bi-weekly pay period. Most of the fronters at NBOA never end up making $750 a week after their first two week "trial period of $750 a week" because they end up NOT getting as many deals to close to make close to $750 per week. But after my third day of being a fronter I was promoted to a customer service rep. Which guaranteed permanently my salary of $750 a week. As a customer service rep, I took late payments for a majority of my day but I was still able to get some fronter calls that came to customer service. I was "forced" to charge policy holders credit cards for payments without their permission too which is against the law. In customer service if I fronted a customer to our closers and the closer closed the deal then I would still be able to make $25 per closed deal on top of my "what they guaranteed" $750 per week permanently as a customer service rep. Seemed kind of cool at the time and motivated me to try to make some good money. But oh was I wrong. I ended up telling so many lies to customers during my short lived (4 weeks and 3 days) career there because I was trained to do so. I would tell customers to call the 1-888-460-1434 if they had any issues or concerns with their insurance. (which about 95% of NBOA policy holders did have issues with). Irrate policy holders would call all throughout every single day that I worked there asking to speak to managers and I would direct them to that 888 number which 100% of the time puts the caller on hold for at least an hour or two and then just transfers them back over to where they originally called. Which also made the policy holder even more irrate and terrified that they made a mistake by signing up for this NBOA insurance called PREMIER STM. You cannot EVER reach the owner, the vice president, the closers (licensed agents), or many supervisors by calling that 888 number because everyone in upper management just hides behind the employees and lets them do all the dirty work. They trained us in customer service to tell callers that we will take a message and have them call the customer back but this NEVER HAPPENS because we never even give them the message from the caller. This business, this management, this company, is a cancer to the community of Reading, Pa and Berks County, and I want to expose them for the liars and frauds that they are. I want to raise awareness to ANY AND EVERYONE who is thinking of either working here or signing up for their bogus insurance coverage. They do horrible business, they could care less about their customers, and they dont pay their employees what they claim is a "guaranteed salary of $750 a week". I worked at NBOA for 4 weeks and 3 days. Which mathematically should have pushed my gross amount that I made way over 3000 bucks considering I was "guaranteed" $750 a week and I worked 4 weeks and 3 whole days. Plus I made the $25 bonus of having 13 deals close which should've also added an extra $325 in bonus money to my salary at the time that I left there. But instead my gross on my last paycheck only says a little over $2000 bucks. I am owed well over $1000 dollars by this company and I am taking them to court. Nobody responds to my emails. The owner, Alan Redmond is NEVER EVER available to speak to anyone who has any issues including his own employees at times. He hides behind his vice president Bradley Butler and his human resource manager Ornella Sciumbata. And even those two are completely incompetent and unable to execute their roles there efficiently and effectively. I am very, very irrate at this company and I am sure that I am not the only one. I now have a late car payment on my credit which is killing my credit score, my rent is late, and if I dont receive my owed money from them within the next week I will get my car repossessed which means I will sue them for even more monetary damage that a repo comes with. All because they owe me well over $1000 dollars that I rightfully earned there and I can prove it with paperwork and check stubs discussing how much money I was offered from them to work there. If there is a civil lawyer that is reading this, I beg of you to get in touch with me asapto discuss a civil suit against this cancer of a business called National Brokers of America. I'm not allowed to leave an email or name or number here but somehow find a way to get in touch with me @rokyrdg. I have all the paperwork from this company to show when I began working there, how much I was obligated and offered to make, I have emails from them saying my late paycheck was on the way and it never arrived, and I have many other former employees of them that are owed money as well that are very irrate. I RECOMMEND NOBODY TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY OR ENROLL IN THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE. ITS A HUGE RIP-OFF. Even if you browse online and read up about this company its getting horrible feedback from every corner of this country so everyone cant be wrong. NATIONAL BROKERS IS A SCAM, A FRAUD, A HORRIBLE BUSINESS, AND THEIR OWN KARMA WILL COME BACK TO THEM SOON ENOUGH.

First call was 5:30. Rang twice then hung up. Second call 7:30. Answered phone. I don't remember if he said who he was from. Very hyper. As soon as he found out I was without insurance because my husband retired, he hung up. 425-249-9602 for both calls, 888-460-1434 was the other number given on the sit I looked up.

Why are they still in business

This company is a total fraud. Business is in Reading, PA but somehow all of its State licenses are out of the State of Ohio not PA. Their insurance license is listed at 630 Fairmount Ave. in Warren, Ohio. I have looked it up so I could contact someone at that office to try and get my money back but have found its just a cap cod house that is rented to someone on section 8. They didn't know anything about National Brokers of America. I really hope someone shuts them down and throws them in jail for taking advantage of people and stealing their money.

Horrible is all I can say. I was told I was getting a PPO Insurance plan. I given a list a multiple office visits and proecedures that I was tol were covered.

When I received my ID card and details I found out it was not a PPO at all it was actually a Limited benefir plan. I was also sold for a second plan I never agreed to for RX and Lab.

I decided to keep the plan and see how it would work. The first time I tried to use using an in network DR and being told I would receive a 30-60% discount off services I received no discount at all. I was forced to pay in full at the Drs office for my prcocedure. I have battled back and forth on this and even cancelled my plan. I have been trying to get reimbured through MUlti plan who apparently is the providor and still nothing. National Brokers is nothing but sales me who lie and mis represent plans and what they cover just to sell you a plan.

I got a call from a person by the name of Harris. They are from National Brokers of America.

They "claimed" that I visited their website about Health Insurance. As of today, I have Health Insurance.

Since I did not go on their website, how did they get my phone number? Is it against the law to call a person when you didn't contact them?

As of right now, I don't need them to contact me. I am very busy at work these days and dont need these phone calls right now
