Nathan Hardage Reviews

  • Nov 10, 2015

We sent our son to Colorado Springs February 19 with Nathan Hardage to receive Intensive Outpatient Therapy. He was to live in a sover living home, but have daily group, weekly one-on-one therapy, AA, NA, nightly reflection/Bible study, fun activities like bowling, exercise, hiking, riding four wheelers, etc. He is 20. He was given no therapy and no help. He was sent out of town without supervision On random work assignments with people not affiliated with the program. He was given another job, but couldn't hold it. He did not possess skills to hold down a job yet. He needed therapy and counseling. What he got was a poorly run sober living home where he was not even provided food for days on end. He was placed in a position to steal or beg for food from other clients. He was in a hostile environment and given no encouragement. He left the house two or three times to get high and was allowed to return, but we believe he was allowed to return because we had agreed to make payments of another $7000 over time. We had paid them $11,000.00 over the course of the first 90 days or so plus, they had taken almost $400 cash from our son when he returned to the house, $85 I sent my son for a vapor cigarette, and all payment he was due for the jobs he worked while there was never given to him. They even called my family members asking them for donations all the while not even feeding our son....providing him no real therapy. Nathan lives in a huge home he leases with his fiancé with something like 7 bedrooms. Meanwhile, one of the sober living homes the guys live in is in foreclosure and therapists are not being paid. My husband and I have requested dates of service, name of therapist, etc. on numerous occasions and Mr. Hardage's respones was, " If you think I am lying, take me to court!" We are actually looking into that, but believe even if we won a judgement, we would never be paid as there is no mon ey. Please check him out with the Office of Behavioral Health and the Department of Regulatiry Agenices before trusting him. He has had similar issues in other states, and we clearly should never have trusted him. If we can stop even one person from being preyed upon as we were, it will be worth it. I have the name of a couple of legitimate and reliable options in that area if you need them. God bless!
