I had been online searching for supplemental insurance with AFLAC and others- I am not at all sure how they got my phone number because I had not filled anything out besides my email address. The person called me and noted that "an agent" would be assisting me and if I was ready to purchase a plan. I made it clear that I was just searching and I had to speak to my husband.
The gentleman I spoke to was rather a fast talker. He offered insurance by MULTIPLE PLAN PPO and it was like BLUE CROSS AND UNITED... (like them.. not them exactly)... He said it was 567.00 a month and asked if I could afford that.. and I said that it sounded high.. so, he said he could bring it down and asked if I was needing preganacy insurance.. and if I needed drug rehab facility insurance or mental health insurance.. I asked.. do people really Answer these.
I was starting to feel like something was waaaay off!!! So, I quickly said.. thank-you and I'll speak to my husband and he was very persistent at knowing WHEN.. when I said I was in no rush, he said.. LOOK THEN, JUST FORGET IT. I MEAN YOU SAID YOU NEEDED INSURANCE!!
I hung up.
I tried calling the number he left me 800-939-2155 with the "extension" of 2017. I called back and it sounds VERY PROFESSIONAL. amazing in fact.. the office hours, etc. I left a message, no swearing, nothing.. just left a message and said it was pretty sad that people like you spend your life ripping people off.
I don't get it.. our world is very different.. but, that's not for this venue here.
Please do not fall into the trap. This is not good!
