I OWN OVAL AUTO REPAIR IN LIVONIA MI. I HAVE BEEN UNFAIRLY TREATED BY MONROE REPRESENTITVES ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THEY HAVE CONFESSED TO BUILDING DEFECTIVE PARTS WITH NO REINBURSMENT OF ANY KIND. THIS COMPANY HAS WENT FROM GOOD TO BAD IN THE PAST 4 YEARS. POORLY CHEAP PRODUCTS BEING MADE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS NOW. PLEASE HELP. BAD STRUT MOUNTS CAUSING HORRIBLE CLICKING NOISES ON TURNS. FED UP I WILL NO LONGER SELL THEIR PRODUCTS AT MY STORE!!!
Shock absorbers failed at 35,592 and 13,681 miles Monroe replaces them free but it cost $268.55 to have them replaced. Now this would be the third time I need to have them replaced with a total of 49273 miles on two brand new sets of shock. The car is a 2004 Nisson Pathfinder shocks bottom out and are leaking oil.
Question is why would I put in a new set that I get for free only to cost 268.00 in labor and have them fail again? There web site says check your shocks at 50,000 miles. They should say every 15,000 miles if replacing with Monroe brand shocks.
Monroe and Belle Tire parts scam. We have been given 4 sets of Monroe bad parts by Belle Tire over 4 years. We were sold Monroe Quick Struts. These parts have been known to have issues with clunking noises, due to ill fitting parts. After years dealing with a noisy car from the Belle Tire replacement, we had to get all new factory struts and mounts, along with a new sway bar link in the front from another auto repair shop. One of the newest Quick Struts exploded on the way home from Belle Tire, leaking all over the floor, after the Belle Tire manager said it was 90% better. It was 90% worse, after they had the car for 3 days, giving us the run around.
