Miles Shumilak Reviews

  • Nov 21, 2016

This week we received an email which caught our interest and sounded particularly familiar to a scam artist who duped us last year. After researching the internet and discovering odd uniformities in the con approach. It seems Miles may be up to his old tricks again, he may have changed website names but his plagerized articles and interviewing process has not changed. We almost fell for it again when we received the pay pal invoice from Emily Smith, it all started feeling familiar. Upon reviewing the new web site, it seems he is targeting bands and yoga teachers now. Bands and yoga teachers should be leary of his played out con. This guy needs to be stopped and stop preying on others. Below is a link to the suspected site.

The Scam Continues

My band almost fell for a similar pitch, it was from Bandwidth Daily (www.bndwdth.media), a Paypal invoice named an "Emily Smith" as the business owner. A quick internet search revealed a post on Reddit with the same pitch and request for money connected to Miles Shumilak and Gentleman Genius with an Emily connected to this scam. It seems Miles Shumilak is working in-cahoots with another. Buyer beware of Miles Shumilak/Emily Smith with Gentleman Genius and Bandwidth Daily.

We almost fell for it

My band was contacted by a similar scenario from a website titled Bandwidth. We thought the offer seemed to good to be true, then came the request for money. A quick internet search directed me here. It caught my attention when we noticed the emails received from Bandwidth are almost identical in pitch. One of the emails in this thread was signed by "Emily". The invoice requesting money is from "Emily Smith". We almost fell for the scam, not this time www.bndwdth.media/"Emily Smith"

Miles Shumilak

My company was solicited by Miles Shumilak. After a quick online search we discovered several complaints on Miles. It would seem he has kept his con going over the years by constantly changing his business name or website. Miles Shumilak may have changed the name of his website from gentlemangenius.com to trendinc.today but assure he is up to the same scam of plagiarizing posts from Esquire and soliciting unknowing businesses with no intentions to deliver on his promises. The fact his business emails, business name and website make no mention of his real identity should be a red flag. Beware all businesses this man is a classic conman.

Miles Shumilak is a classic con artist. He is incredibly friendly over the phone and in person and seemed smart enough, but will jump at the opportunity to screw you over. He screwed my business out of a listing on his site, and totally ignored my attempts at resolving things. After chatting with many others (4 now!) who've had bad experiences with Miles, I feel duped. Some were screwed out of just $25 for the listing, and others screwed out of several hundred dollars. In my case, I was just ignored after paying, with no services rendered. Promises promises, ignored emails, etc. I thought it was just laziness, but others said he just spends the money recklessly (bars & drugs (cocaine specifically)) and then ignores customer service calls & emails, blocks social media, etc. Do not work with Miles! He has no principles.
