Don't use Midas as a mechanic because if you ask the wrong questions they will scream at you and threaten to call the police!

We were there to get the air conditioning fixed and replace a tire and the employee, Jerome, was so offended because of a lack of communication on his part. We know all of the employees and mechanics at this particular Midas and by the time we left they were screaming and yelling and threatening to call Tucson Police Department.

Midas will abuse your car, and charge you a lot of money and not fix the problem, and then blame you for the problem being wrong.

They will threaten to call the police because they cannot cope with their own emotional and psychological problems.

This is the worst Midas in Tucson! Don't use this mechanic if you want to save yourself.

Called and asked if they performed oil changes on Mercedes, they replied, "Yes, bring it in." On my way home after Midas performed an oil change, I smell something burning, the temperature gauge is normal so I proceed until my vision was impared by the amount of smoke coming out from around my hood, I pull over, lift the hood, and after the smoke subsides, I see puddles of oil, and oil spilled all over different parts of the engine. I called Midas and informed them of the situation, they said to bring the car so they could take a look, I then explained how that probably wouldn't be a good idea considering the obvious. After they looked at the car after it having to be towed back there, the manger briefly explained there was a malfunction with the "pump" they use to put the oil in, however, couldn't explain why the oil spilled wasn't cleaned up, or why the proper amount of needed oil wasn't replaced, and why there was oil and grease smudges all over the outside, and inside of the car. The mangager then said they corrected the problems and car was ready, I arrived and the car hadn't been moved, and was in the same condition they left it in the day prior when I picked it up. I asked what exactly did they do, and the manager said they added more oil. Due to the amount of oil spill that they left sitting, and car being driven without any oil, resulted in a signifigant amount of damage to my car, enough damage, I now sit here with no transportation, which is why I have all this extra time to put a warning out for consumers. In addition, I find Google and the Federal Trade Commission partly responsible, for not regulating the validity of reviews posted online.

Most of the positive reviews given for Midas are fake reviews to offset the negative reviews from real paying consumers who are posting their negative and damaging experience. I cross referenced the names of the positive reviews given and have found most are affiliated either by being employed by Midas or, relatives, and spouses of the employed. The owner even left a positive review.

So we took car in for AC inspection and so he recharged the vehicle, but failed to give us report of leaks /deficiency in AC system . Report was no issues..... Per technician. The AC failed in one month of his service. And owner refused to give us warranty on the service to pinpoint his initial mistake in locating issue before being paid for service rendered.

This is a bad place for single women , or young people working hard to make a living. Dont take car here. sad service.

This company has been reported several times on scamion, facebook and the bbb. Darrell hornbacher of gilbert az is the owner. His wife blair hornbacher and wes gumeringer manage it.

Our experience is that this business isn't who they say they claim themselves to be. They claim to be credit repair, equity financing and debt lenders. There team is not polished or professional, either. Rather, aggressive especially with our experience with darrell. We cannot comment on blair, she had been polite with us.

Don't ever take your car to this location 8530 Michigan Road,Indianapolis, Indiana, they are shysters. We took our car there to check on a leak and we paid for them to check it out, they told us it was the coolant hose and we paid $351.00 for them to fix it.

Then the car started leaking again within a week and we took it back and now they say its the reservoir and would cost an additional $250.00. What did we pay them for to disgnose the leak and now they want us to pay again for something they mis-diagnosed.

What kind of mechanics do you employ and is this a common practice, smh. They are shystering people out of their hard earned money.

MIDAS STORE #724, Central Ave Albany NY. We had all four brakes changed, brake pads, all the rotors (which were bent) two years back. Couple of weeks back the car started pulsating so I took it to the same shop where an obnoxious and arrogant person named Todd gave me an estimate which included change of rotors amongst other stuff.

When I protested about the brakes breaking down in two years, and I told him it was my wife’s car, he said maybe I should cut her big toe off. IF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE IT WAS DISGUSTING, lNSULTING AND IN VERY POOR TASTE. MAYBE EVEN RACIST SINCE I AM NOT WHITE AS PER THE DEFINITION IN THIS COUNTRY.

By the way they had already started working on the car even before the estimate was presented to me. There was also a charge for three year wheel alignment without my permission. I was cheated and insulted by the entire episode. I need to get compensated and a written apology from the manager. ... your description ... Albany New York

Friday August 9th, my car wouldn’t start and I had it towed to Midas. Saturday August 10th I was quoted a price of $2300 by the manager Joe for the replacement of a starter and turbo pipe. He decreased my price to $1,400 because I was a loyal customer and said he was giving me a manager discount. I was told I could pay in installments and filled out an application but on Friday, August 16th, I was told by Jason that an application was never processed. Tuesday, August 13th Joe told me that I actually needed a whole turbo booster and charged me $2300 although he never asked for permission for this new repair.

I went up to the store, retrieved my turbo booster and took it to ABC auto, where I purchased the turbo booster 4/26/2019, and they stated that nothing was wrong with my turbo booster and that I had a 1 year warranty on the part. I took the turbo booster to a mechanic in Olympia fields and they stated that nothing was wrong with the part. I went back up to Midas and complained to Joe and he threw a chair against the wall. I mumbled under my breath that he was crazy and he yelled “are you calling me crazy” and called the police.

Now, the turbo booster that Joe put on the car is missing a part and he is asking me for my part on my turbo booster that I retrieved from the store. I contacted corporate numerous times and now they are saying that he claims that the part on my turbo booster is his. I have an invoice from ABC auto that contains pictures of my turbo booster at the time of purchase and it shows that part. He got his turbo booster that is missing a piece and now he is trying to take the piece from my turbo booster and won’t complete the repair without taking my part. I am upset because Joe the manager has not been reprimanded or fired for showing violent behavior, my turbo booster was removed and it is under warranty and nothing is wrong with it, my application was never processed, and my quoted price keeps changing

Went to Midas for an oil change and tire rotation. The next day, I heard a noise each time I braked to a full stop. Took the car back to Midas. they told me I needed new brake pads and rotors. Cost $375.

When I told them they had replaced the brake pads just months earlier, they told me ok, the charge would be only $325 for the rotars. (Even though I paid much more than $50 for the brake pads months ago.)

I had a suspecious feeling about the brake repaires because nothing the manager said made any sense to me. So I took my car to be evaluated by another car mechanic. The new car mechanic called me back, told me there was nothing wrong with my brakes, but that someone had looseded the lug nuts on my front wheers. (Remember Midas had done a tire rotation the day before). the new mechaic told me the lug nuts were so loose I was lucky not to have had an accident. He replaced the lug nuts for $39. My car brakes were fine and have been fine ever since. I believe Midas intentionally lied to me about needing new brakes, and I believe Midas intentionally loosened the lug nuts to motivate me to bring the car back to them for unneeded repairs.

I took my Lexus ES350 to this locatin to have the Catalytic Converter replaced. At that time there were no service or warning lights showing on the control panel. When they returned the car there were three lights showing. They had damaged the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor and didn't know it. They tried to reset the lights' codes with their code reader. In the process they erased the coed for the passenger seat air bag. Now there were five lights lit on the control panel and the passenger seat airbag was deactivated. They replace the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor for an additional $376.92. The first three sets of lights were cleared but the Passenger Seat Airbag Sensor lights were still on.

They had acidentally cleared the code and the sensor will no longer except a new code. The sensor was damaged. They said it wasn't their fault and they couldn't repair the damaged sensor. They told me it was just a coincidence that it went bad while the car was in their shop. Again there were no lights on or bad sensors when this car entered their shop. I had an estimate done at the Lexus dealer. The appointment cost $153.71 and the estimate for the repairs was for $2,776.54. These damages were done due to the negligence of the technicians at this Midas shop. I am asking to be reimbursed for the total of ther damage $3,307.17. $379.92 for the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor, $$2,776.54 for the Passenger Seat Airbag Sensor replacement and $153.71 dealer estimate appointment.

Def. would not be doing business with them again as I had in the past. Took my truck in and left it there. I was pretty sure that I had a fouled spark plug. They ran test and called me stating that the plug in cylinder 1 was bad and asked if I wanted them to change it. Told them I had NGk plugs and they would have to replace all of them and asked how much it would be.

Was told it would be $79.99 to replace all six which seemed ok since the plugs are $7 a piece. When I picked the truck up I was told it was $253.07 after arguing I had no choice but to pay to get my truck back. They said sorry for the misunderstanding we could give you a few free oil changes.

Explained I do not prepay for oil changes and I just want to be charged what I was quoted. In the end I payed them the$253.07 and now will do my best to make sure no one does business with them or any of the locations owned by this group.

So I had obtained a job in Phoenix and not too long after that I noticed that this might as was hiring and it was near my place so I had called and spoke to somebody named James. He apparently was the hiring manager and was eager to get me started at $12 an hour which I thought was pretty good at the time I would save on gas and make a little more money.. little did I know the shop was run Shady Not only was the manager a snake he treated customers just as bad if not worse Parts people were yelled at constantly and cursed out.. he wanted a oil change inspection and Alignment check done in less than 15 minutes and if he sold an alignment he wanted it done all in less than half an hour they weren't too busy but when it got busy I was sweating bullets trying to keep up with this psychopath and how he does his work all he cares about is sales I remember one time I did and oil

service on this work truck and the customer wanted the oil filter change the oil done as well as a fuel filter replaced he then had me take my car personally all the way down somewhere in Phoenix to pick up this guy's part and when I came back I told him it was the wrong part he then proceeded to tell me that the guy was on the way to pick it up he then told me it wasn't a problem all he was going to do is switch the date on the filter and make it seem like it's a new one in my heart I know that was bad but what was I going to say all that would happen is I end up getting fired.

anyways about 2 weeks after working for him I ended up quitting it was a situation where a bulb was out and I told him that it was a possibly more than one he lashed out on me and told me that he already talked to the customer and that he was ready to fire me with those words being said I told him no worries I

quit.. again I had to wait over 2 weeks for my check and when I got it it was missing a whole day and I worked a 9-hour day that day matter fact it was the first day I started his reply to that was it's not my fault you didn't clock in.. but he's the idiot who is in charge of it and should have did that that was his job not mine I then began to show him as I write down all my hours he didn't even look at it and begin to tell me that if I didn't leave he was going to call the cops which he did I was there and he told the cops I was being erratic.. I was so angry at him I could have knocked him out but I don't want to be that kind of person I just wanted my money if you ever come across this ad on Craigslist please stay away cuz this guy is one of the biggest rip-offs I've ever seen and I'd advise everyone to take your cars to a better shop where they will be honest with what you need..

I took my 2007 mercedes Benz E 350 for oil change and charged $104.36 I was happy that I got it done but then I realized there was smoke coming out of the engine that was Saturday 07/21/2018 at 6.10 pm when I received my car and when I discovered the smoke it was too late to go back to them because they close supposly at 6 PM I couldn’t drive the car because I’m afraid that will start fire and I have my kids in the car so I waited till it cooled off then I’m waiting till Monday to take it to them and see if they will fix whatever the cause of this and I hope my motor will not be burned I wish I never used them in changing oil and should have gone to Walmart instead as I done my oil change there before with always success.

I broke down, over heating on the way to JFK airport just a few miles from this Midas dealer, a friend got my car to them. They had it for the entire 14 days I was gone out of the country. They said it was a faulty thermostat, which I have no idea if it was even replaced. I flew home on May 17 and picked it up on route, paying $318.00. Not even a half hour from the garage I overheated and broke down again. This time I had to pay for towing and another garage in Milford, PA to find the real source of the problem. They did find it...a silly pressure cap. All together including price of towing, I was charged another $320.00, however this garage actually fixed my car. I am very dissatisfied with MIDAS for this lack of judgement, especially since they had my car long enough to check and test it. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The second garage fixed it correctly within 3 hours and MIDAS denied they owed any refund even under the ridiculous circumstances. :( Very unhappy hard working single mom. Midas left me stranded on a very dangerous highway after flying home from Asia, and I live 2.5 hours from this location….so you can imagine my frustration level.

Store 7078608 associate steve at 1040 am on 11/6 .

i had an 11 am appt. upon arriving steve pulled up this vehicle in computer and noticed that i always use used groupons for oil chgs and that they were not going to except more then 2 per customer from now on and forever meaning i cant use 2 per year per say. bacically midas would not take groupons from me as i met my limit. i was fine with this if that was hurting corporate bottom line. i had the little punch card for a free oil change . steve then starts busting on me that when THEY find something wrong i take it somewhere else for the fix. i stated that I DO MY OWN WORK AND NOT EVERYONE IS IN-EPT AT AUTO REPAIR. i like your midas receipts and the usual gang that is there. steve brought up that i didnt get the toyota water pump fixed there and i told him it was done UNDER WARRANTY FREE !!! I LOVE TO PAY AND LOG MY OIL CHANGES so the various dealerships cant say i have not taken care of the vehicle. they sometimes turn their nose up that i use midas and that the workmanship is poor which is bull. i have to sometimes bring up the magneson-moss that permits me to use aftermarket parts and services. after this 2nd go around about me going elsewhere with my money i did raise my voice and tell him this was not the case and i am not trying to screw midas . i also said the word a*s but forgot where it came in the converstion but i didnt call steve names. there was one older man in waiting room as info. steve shoved my punchcard back at me and told me he didnt need this and to get out of store. other them rude and obnoxious he was still civil and did not swear . i can fax or send orders that i can print from advanced auto and the slip from toyota that shows the water pump free replacement. i am pretty upset . i contacted midas 1 800 621 8845 as soon as i got home. andrea created case number 4145029 but could find this store ?? i am asking for resolve of this situation and i feel i had a right to defend myself against digs about going "elsewhere" and boning midas. i was not out of control just really ticked off. i have NEVER HAD ISSUE WITH ANY OF YOUR ASSOCIATES IN ALL THESE YEARS. I AM TELLING ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAS CAR WORK DONE BY ME TO NOT GO TO MIDAS FOR ANYTHING. i used to send my 3 daughters to the midas locations also but this will end Amber . Claire . and Lexie will give their business to walmart or jiffy. Again because they dont like getting ripped of at dealer you were always the go-to establishment for proof of maintainence . my frustration will go far and wide as i am so upset. i am sitting here with a free oil change card that i cant use so in essence my oil changes were more expensive. any help and any proof you need i am more than willing to fax or mail so maybe steve will think twice about making baseless accusations . we are all about saving a buck and i feel that it a right to go elsewhere

"even if customers cant do work" for at least a second opinion and cost estimate. ihope this store can be found in you data base and someone helps me out. sorry for the rambling on and on but i am still upset .

Second time we have experienced poor consumer service and miss leading on services and items that did not need fixed and failed to do the job correctly and or keep scheduled appointments. First time we went there we had our oil changed and when getting home we checked our oil stick on level ground and there was no oil. Oil stick was bone dry. We had to put four (4) quarts of oil. I paid for an oil change and got no oil. They also stated that we had an oil leak and it would cost a few hours to find the problem if they could even find it. They reminded we go to his friend up the road to have the engine power washed and they would coast about $300 for that service then I could bring it back to them and they could maybe find the oil leak. So I took the car to my dealer and they came back stating we had no oil leak and who ever stated that we did was not telling the truth and again they assured us we had no leak. I went back to Midas of Maui and I explained we had a second look and we had no oil leak and they asked who I went to and I epressed that we took it to our dealer and the owner response was that they alway lie to there costumes and that I was not getting the truth.

We decided to just let it go and had asked Midas to please do our back breaks on a different car an I was only able to communicate through phone as I was at work as they were doing the breaks and Midas called me and stated that even though I wanted to only do my back breaks I had to have my front breaks done as well because they breaks pads on the front of my passenger side was cracked and if they replace one they have to replace both. I decided to have them do the work but I wanted to see the old pad that was cracked I as told they would have it for me when I returned.

When I got there someone missed place the pad but just to trust them it was creaked. I really had no choice as the work was already completed. Then at a later date we scheduled to have our oil changed and was told to come in at 730 am and no one was there so we waited till they came in and I expressed we had an appointment at 930 and was assured it would be done so we went to get some food and came back an hour and 15 minutes later and they had not even touched the car but they had others that were well after us dropping off the car. They stated it will be done soon. I asked for the keys back and we left. Do not ever trust this company in maui. They have lied about our oil leak and could not show us the cracked break pad after assuring we could see the broken part. Obviously they scheduled an appointment when not even open and worked on other car before ours. We will never go there ever again after may issues and will never recommend they to anyone. It's hard enough to find an honest mechanic but they are not and have proven that they are dishonest people. Just take it to your dealer as they are the most honest as we have seen in this past experience with Midas of Maui.

Took my Ford Escape to them to have the exhaust system replaced, charged me 600 bucks which seemed like a good deal especially with the lifetime replacement warranty. Less than a week later the system is rattling and making noise. I take it back, they repair it. Two months go by, same thing. Take it back they fix it. Now I go outside and my tailpipe is hanging off the vehicle, the car sounds like a jet engine. I take it back to them for the repair and they tell me that its not covered by warranty but good news they can fix it for another 800 dollars! Unbelievable! Their lifetime warranty didnt make it 18 months and now they want me to pay them more than the original repair to replace the system they just replaced. When I confronted the manager he tried to dance around the whole thing telling me only some mufflers are lifetime and mine wasnt and best of all was the muffler is still fine its everything else that is broken so even if it was covered, which it isnt, then it would still be 800 bucks to fix. These guys are unreal! If you consider a lieftime warranty to expire in 12 months than by all means go see these crooks they will be happy to take you for a ride.

On 7/10/2017 I took my 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser to Midas because the air conditioner was not producing any cold air. They diagnosed the car for $118.90 and provided a written estimate indicating that there were no leaks and that all that was needed was a refill of refrigerant for $118.90. I authorized the refill and they did it. The car made cold air for several hours then stopped. When I brought the car back to Midas on 7/15/2017, they said the air conditioner was now leaking and needs several parts, and labor for a grand total of $1047.08. Efforts to get a refund for my $118.90 failed. This series of events is wrong on several levels. First of all my understanding is that it is not legal to refill a motor vehicle air conditioning system with leaks. Second if I had been told in the first place that the vehicle needed a $1000+ repair, I would never have gone along with any work as the vehicle is over 15 years and probably not worth $1000. Third, I feel that Midas took advantage of the fact that I have little knowledge of auto repairs and reduced ability to communicate in English, to cheat me out of the $118.90.

I am a new PA resident and had my two cars inspected at this location on July 21, 3017. One car was replaced brake for 470$ and the other was asked to change one set of struts for $930 due to leak according to them. I did not know my right to change a place to reinspect and they told you only after you dispute the price. They charged me $520 for one set of struts. I showed them the online part price is less than half. They just said the online stuff is junk but very reluctant to give me the brand name after my multiple requests. They are ripping off new resident without any feeling!!! They also leaft oil stains on the door and seats!!!

They supposedly changed my oil housing gasket and valves, the car is not starying on anymore it just shuts off and they have admitted they didnt put back a hose but then acted like thats not a big deal. they promised for 2 days they would relook at their faulty dirty work. they charged me $821.31 to make my car way worse than it was. it was still running smoothly and now it sounds like a piece of junk and they claim its a coincidence. anyway i contacted the creditor i used to pay for this and she said to document everything possible. so as i was there this morning before 8 like we agreed - they were trying to make me leave so they can "fix" my car. Rock C the store manager is just putting in random fix it fluids and smoke is now billowing out of my car everytime i start it and its shutting down completely at every stop sign and stop light.

Rock said he didnt care if i videos and then flipped out and said hes refunding me and to get out. They have given my car problems and its not functioning as it was much less better like it should be. all of them pass the buck and noone actually knows about anything or owns up to anything. That is a group of theives and thugs with their own little organized scam unit now i need to go fix what they messed up and that isnt fair at all. Chuck the clown tried to make threatening gestures towards me but he was stopped by Patricia. Rock C also stepped into my personal space and made threatening gestures at me and Patricia pulled him away and then he pushed her away. I am 5ft5 and 100 pounds and a female. They have a 5 star review for themselves on yelp by Rock C and replied to from ADAM the owner. I hate that they have my home address becos they are thugs and ALL CROOKED.

BEWARE FRAUD. I went here to get my breaks checked, automatically without checking my vehicle I was informed it was the rotors. I left my car because I was advised they would not do anything to the vehicle unless I authorized it. After I left I contacted my lender and was advised my lender has an in house auto repair shop. I then contacted Midas and was informed they still have not worked on my vehicle and it would be another 30 mins before they could inspect it. I advised them to not work on my car as I was picking it back up. I arrived 5 mins later and my car was lifted and they were rushing to remove the tires. I asked for car to be lowered-angerly at this point. Multiple employees at this location were verbally abusive and threatening. I contacted the St. Pete Police Department who arrived at the scene and advised recourses; which I will be executing. DO NOT TRUST MIDAS, FRAUDULENT BUSINESS.

  • Mar 17, 2017

They charge a fee to do emisions diagnoses, then they call you with another estimate to fix the problem. The estimate and supposed work they charged for did not fix the problem.

Their competatance shows in the other problem they were asked to fixed. Instead of fixing the assembly they said they can replace the whole unit from a dealer for over $500. This problem was fixed by a real mechanic for $20.

There seems to be a common scam on supposed fixing emissions, just making money on diagnoses then estimating a repair more then the car is worth so you will never agree to fix it anyway.

The Midas Store located at 5844 4th St N in St.Petersburg, FL. is not only the epitome but sets a new high bar for the expression “A Den Of Thieves”. If you value your family’s or your own safety you must absolutely at all cost avoid taking your car to the these thieving buffoons. I took a Mercedes to them and supplied a special synthetic oil and a premium Mann oil filer that’s not otherwise available from them. They said they would change the oil and filter for a $20 labor only fee which also included a tire rotation and safety check.

Before dropping the car off I had marked the outside of the oil filter canister which contains the filter element so I could determine if it had been removed. After picking the car up and returning home I check the mark and it was in the same location as before so I removed the canister cap and viewed a dirty Fram filter element even though I had supplied them with a new Mann oil filter.

I then checked the oil which was dirty and overfilled by at least 2 quarts. I believe this happened because I had returned early to pick up the car and noticed the containers of oil I had provided were still on the bench, so the mechanic in order to cover up his dishonesty proceeded to pour two of them into the crankcase even though in actuality he had never drained the old oil.

I then started examining each item they had checked on their safety list form that is provide to the customer along with the receipt, only a few of the checked categories were correct most likely out of luck because after all even a broken clock is correct twice a day. The tire pressures indicated on the form weren't even close to being correct they rotated only two of the tires and then torqued the lug nuts to over 150 ft lbs, almost twice of the spec, one of my headlamps had just burned out but they had all lights checked as good, washer fluid had just run out but that was marked as full. They did however happen to notice a leaking valve cover gasket which they gave me an estimate for $850 to replace even though it requires only a $20 gasket and about 3 hours to repair.

I returned the next day and the manager was polite and timidly offered to correct the problem like a child that was just caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Since I no longer trusted anyone there I stood outside the bay and proceeded to video record the procedure which the mechanic took exception to and protested. At that time other customers were starting to take notice so they decided to ask me to leave which was probably the smartest thing they did. They refunded my $20 and provided me with the same type of oil and filter that I originally had provided to them which they said came from the local auto parts store.

I just wanted to say that Midas cheated my fiance out of the property service she deserved on her car. We went in to get a deal fixed on the front driver side tire and they asked if we wanted an inspection done so we can get our registration done early. It took them all of 15 minutes to do our inspection. Our ABS light came on 6 days later and we almost wrecked the car. When I called Midas and asked them how long it takes to do an inspection they told me 30-45 minutes. And when I asked how come it took less time to do our car their excuse was since our car was a 2012 it takes led time. We took our car to Firestone where we got out brakes done and they confirmed that Midas did not do a proper inspection on our car.

They said if Midas cleaned our brakes they should have caught the problem. We spent alot of money to get the car working properly, which caused us to not be able to move out of the dump we live in now. If I would have read the reviews on this place we would have never had service on our car done there. We contacted a lawyer and Midas will not budge. So we will be taking them to small claims court. The employees are rude and don't listen to there customer. While we were there another customer came in the door saying whatever they did to their car didn't work and wanted to charge them more money to fix it again. This company needs to be stopped and stop cheating customers and have them pay for bad service.

Paid $1000 for brakes. After leaving business lost brakes on my way home and went through intersection and struck median bending my front rim. Upon inspection noticed they did not put rear hubcap back on. Contacted manager jack Guidry next morning and he said he would take care of situation. Midas fixed brakes next day and were to order rim and cap. I called weekly about rim and hubcap and was told it was ordered and on the way by the manager: jack Guidry. Two months go by and it never came in after they told me it had been ordered. I contacted corporate and they put me in touch with the owner: Nate. Nate listened to my situation and told me that his employees were "feeding me a line of ****". Nate ended up fixing the hubcap but decided by himself not to fix rim. Nate could not meet in person to see damage and relied on same lying employees to view it. I told Nate that was not fair and I would contact corporate again. Nate told me," FYI if you call corporate it will just come to me and I will tell you same answer." Midas in Columbus Indiana is a terrible business and from my experience very dangerous. If you work hard for your money do not go to Midas , they will rip you off and take no responsibility for any wrong doing. Liars from top to bottom.BEWARE

Approximately two weeks ago we have a quote from Midas Brakes in midland TX to install front and rear brake pads on company vehicle. They provided us with quote of $250.00 for the installation and parts. When we took the vehicle in and dropped off. They call one of my employees to let him know that the price was going to be double from what they had originally quoted. I called them to get an explanation why the quote had doubled. They did not return my until I called the next day first thing in the morning and I spoke with the manager. He told me that the work was already done. They told me that the original quote was wrong and that there was nothing they could now. I asked him why he did not return my call the day before when I had called and requested the work to be stop or not to proceed. He told me that he was busy that day and did not get to the messages in time. We paid for the repairs but I proceeded to call the Midas coorporate office and file a formal complaint with them. The person I spoke with guaranteed that someone would get in touch with me within 48 hrs of filing the report. That was on Friday morning that I filed this. I waited and entire week and no one called me. I then called them again on Friday of the following week . The person I spoke with was appolagetic and guaranteed me that some would call me within 48 hrs of that call. Well guess what? Two weeks have gone by and no one has called. My next step is the BB to file a formal complaint with them. On the mean time if you need brake work done DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO MIDAS BRAKES LOCATED IN MIDLAND TX.

I had a total brake job done on 10/24/2015 they charged me 757.53 and they said the work was guaranteed for life. On Monday, December 7, 2015 I heard the same grinding of the brakes so I pulled into the shop on my way home and they put the car on the lift and assured me that it was covered by the guarantee. I left my car there and the next day they called and said it would cost an additional $400.00 for a left hose and to replace the brake caliper. I said it is supposed to be under warranty I just paid almost $800.00.

The man was so rude he said he did'nt like my attitude and threatened not to fix it and then I would be stuck with paying the entire 800 plus the new amount somewhere else. He actually said come and pick up your car when he knew it was undriveable! I feel that they made up this story about the caliper to make money because they screwed up the brake job the first time. I am getting an attorney to write a letter to corporate about them. I feel so cheated and taken advantage of . Please don't go there, that store needs to be closed. I am going to call Corporate headquarters today and tell them what happpened. This is a rip off horrible place. They should have honored my guarantee it was only one month ago, then the brakes went bad again. When my son went in to pay he said they looked guilty and he agreed that we will never go there and they took advantage of us.

I have paid for a lifetime alignment from a previous owner of this business. The current owner decided after 3 years he will no longer honor this agreement. It is my feeling when you buy a business, you are obligated and bound by law to honor any previous agreements and obligations of a business you purchase. I have been shafted and I am angry. Do not use this place. The owner was down right rude in his refusal.
