Do not work for Macys! The mangers refused to let the employees take breaks, and yelled at you if you asked for one. By law they are required to give employees breaks, but since they never had enough employees to cover breaks they would never let you take a break. In addition I found out I was being paid less than all the other employees doing my same job, and I had been with the company a longer time. I was always on time, did my job professionally, so there was no reason I should have been receiving lower pay, that is discrimination. The managers yelled at everyone for everything and gave all employees way too much work to handle for one person, and refused to hire more people becuase the company is trying to save money. It's a very abusive and unreasonable environment.

Ordered over $1,000 of merchandise with them and not ONE single "employee" or "rep" can tell you where items are or why you don't get them. The customer is then expected to spend tons of time tracking down the items. No service at all from this big retailer who has the money to hire competnent staff but would rather pocket the profts and hire useless customer service staff and hope you don't notice.

I ordered $450 worth of suitcases, they delivered a smaller version than what I paid for, you call and you cannot reach a live person without calling 10x. They will refund it if YOU drive the products back to them (after you paid $15 for shipping).

Then I ordered another $430 worth of luggage hoping to get the correct items this time (I am in a hurry as I am leaving town) and as a business owner and mother of 3 I am busy and my time is valuable. I paid for same day delivery. Two days later after several onlines chats with their "reps" they each said something different and knew nothing and could not see what was going on with me order (or did not care).

Took about 2 hours to reach a live person on the phone, the first one put me on hold and never came back. I called back 4x after this each one waiting on hold and each time I asked where my order was and they assured me my item was coming the next day.

Here we are the day before my trip and I am the one expected to resolve the delivery of my items or go to the store to pick up what I need. RipOff is the nicest way I can put it.

I was ripped off by Macys.com for $89.99 after they cancelled my order & gave no reason yet they refuse to refund my payment. They will not reply by customer service emails. They sent two "Do not reply" emails that someone will contact & they contiinue to not respond. They robbed me. I will be filing a dispute with Visa Debit Card to reclaim my payment from Macys.com

The request has been canceled, the product and money are kept, and there is no response, or communication

I purchased a sofa from Macy's on September 8, 2020 for a total price of $2,918.18. The amount of $2,500.00 was paid and the balance due is $418.18 which is to be paid upon receiving my sofa. After some delays I was told the merchandise was expected to arrive at the warehouse on December 21, 2020 at which point I would be able to schedule delivery. After multiple attempts by phone and email to obtain the status of my order, I have gotten the same response over and over:

"We are sorry for the delay in shipping your furniture. Our records indicate that your merchandise was expected to arrive at our warehouse on 12/21/2020; however, we have not received a confirmation that it has reached our warehouse. We have sent a request for an update about the status of your order. Rest assured that we will contact you once we receive the merchandise at our warehouse to set up your delivery schedule."

It is now February of 2021 and I still do not have the sofa I paid for and they cannot tell me where it is or when I will receive it.

I would like to file a lawsuit against Macy’s Department Store if they don’t remove and compensate me for my hardship and a restricted life. Many reasons why. It’s in regards to card at Macy’s with only a mere minimum credit line of $100.00. The account reflects open as of 2005 on my credit report. It currently shows as a closed account with a crazy balance of $948.00! For a 100.00 credit limit? It makes no sense? Anyhow I was 22 at the time and starting my life. Credit was of extreme importance as I needed it for basically everything, it’s our lifeline and says a lot about a person. Anyhow, because of that stupid Macy’s card, it held me back from everything involving credit. I have done disputes for over 10 years with Trans Union and Equifax. I have given every reason in the book even and it always comes back as, “verified as accurate.” If I been disputing for longer than 7 years and a total of 30 payments at 25.00 each when the account wasn’t used? That’s uncanny and whomevers account it is they need there money back because I have no knowledge of such or even got a notice that account was closed or calls or anything which is weird too? I didn’t want to call because every time you talk to them, it remains on your credit another 7 years.

Unfortunately just dealt with having to pay high interest rates and wanted to wait the 7 years to fall off but never did! So now it’s been 14 years and it has depressed me and frustrated me over the course of again, 14 years! This has created and added to major depression and anxiety in which I have proof. Anyhow this only adds to my mental health state. Im going backwards in life now because of this and am 36 now and care about my credit is why I am working to repair it. Credit even affected me getting work. I decided to call and look into it and it looks like a total of 30 payments were made at 25.00 each and I have no knowledge of such and didn’t make sense because credit limit was 100.00! And this is close to $800.00 in payments and it reflects 947.00 closed balance on my credit report which shows 947% credit utilization over that 100.00 limit. I never opened this account and need proof because I have had identity fraud in past which may be on file.

Credit drastically drops because of a 947% credit utilization which shouldn’t happen in first place and shouldn’t go past the 100.00 limit. That’s a discrepancy right there. Anyhow I decided to call and basically -Sorry for the mistake we still gotta send for investigation on Macy’s side and a 60 day waiting period? I been waiting a decade. Please please help me get this removed. During the payment period and the dates of payments I wasn’t even in the country and have proof. I was in London for work during 2014-2016 I also had to endure paying higher interest rates and live in places I didn’t like etc. because of my credit score. Again, I am 36 now and just ready to take action in my life again and just keep being a good person. I want justice even after disputing this so much pain and suffering from this and it has mentally drained me. I thank you for taking the time to read this.

Also I have emails from payments in which it addressed Simin Najibi which is same last name as mine! So that poor lady is probably making payments that are not even applying to her account which ends in 1719 I think and mine supposedly 1790 and can see the tangled webs of craziness and have reached my end of how to deal with this. I even have a dated payment from November 2015 and account shows closed the same month as well. Macy’s seems difficult to deal with and I’m sure other people have the same issues and some just don’t take action. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this. I will not stop until they apologize and satisfy what’s fair via monetary relief

In my last trip to Florida I've bought a Coco Chanel on Macy's on Altamont Mall, but form my surprise, affter arriving back at Brazil I noticed that the perfume was a false!!!

I decided to buy that perfume on Macy's exactly because I couldn't suppose that would happens. But happened...

After contacting them I sent pictures of the false perfume, and they proposed to change the perfume, but I live on Brazil and was in Florida for vacations and don't have any travel scheduled to USA in the near future. This said I believed is was easier for Macy's to send me a new bottle. In the same delivering/pick up process I could supply the false bottle for their evaluations.

Bought in February and after months , nothing happened...

I have exchanged many messages with:

I ordered multiple items from Macy’s online using my Macy’s credit card at the same time. Same shipping and billing address for each item as they were ordered simultaneously. Two items - ottomans from the furniture department - were delivered to the wrong address in a different state. After eight telephone calls I was assured that a credit for the cost of the two items that I never received would be issued. I received notifications today that Macy’s will not credit back the cost of the two items that total more than $400 dollars.

I placed the orders, never received my furniture, spoke to ‘customer service’ multiple times with assurances that I would not be charged, and now Macy’s sends a letter stating I must pay for what I never received. WARNING DO NOT order from Macy’s!!!! Each call I made sent me over seas with a statement that they could not transfer me to the US.

My wife and I created a lengthy wedding registry with very expensive items. At a store location, a store represenative signed us up for our wedding registry and promised 5% cash back if we did so and forced us to open up a Macy's credit card to earn the rewards. We opened the Macy's credit card and were promised 5% cash back on the total amount that people spent buying gifts directly off our registry. Our friends/family purchased thousands of dollars of merchandise. However, we never received a single penny of that cash back and when we called Macy's customer support we were told the employee who signed us up for the registry made a mistake and did not correctly sign us up so they refused to make good on their promise and give us our money. Macy's refused to give us any cash back despite purchsing thousands of dollars of merchandise and Macy's customer support even admitted it was their error but refused to correct the error and honor their promise.

In September of last year I tried to open a Macy's account at a store in Fashion Island, Orange county. I was informed that I was declined, and used a different credit card for my purchase, losing the discount offered. A month later I received a bill for this "declined" credit card with a $25 charge on it which I had never authorized. I called in to customer service, and was assured that the charge would be taken off. The next month I received a new bill with this charge and $27 in interest. For the last four months I have spent a half hour on the phone with Customer Service and the Loyalty Department. I have spoken with Lynn, Laura Gutierrez, Amy, Dion Cribb - all have personally assured me that the charge would be taken off, along with the interest charges. I am at a loss what to do, as each month the bill comes again. I will never, ever do business with Macy's or any of its affiliates, and am thinking about terminating all ties with Amex, which supports this fraud.

On December 19, 2017, I attempted to use a previosuly purchased gift card to purchase online goods. I kept getting a weird message. I called Macy's and was told there was a problem with the website taking gift cards and that they were working on it but didn't know when it would be fixed. I used a credit card to purchase the goods only to later discover it also emptied my gift card of its entire balance of $280.44. I have called Macys no less than 4 times. They say it used my gift card and then cancelled the transaction and the funds should go back to the gift card. They acknowledge I am owed it back and keep saying it is supposed to be credited back to my gift card, but over ten days later it has not been and I am still out the $280.44.

Add from Macy's stating they were closing stores and you could get a free sample of a Beauty Product just pay shipping. ($5.99) At checkout they tacked on the eye serum without being able to delete. Then they charged for both products within a small amount of time. I have not even sampled either Product, I am sending it back and expect a full refund.

I received a message on my computer from was was represented as Macy's. They are closing several stores, which I knew about. Because of that they were letting their customers order their excess samples from a variety of locations, and we would have no choice. All we would expect was premium products like Estes Lauder, Clinique, etc. I could get two samples. They cost $4.95 each while they were available. I did look to see if there was a. Scam going on because I have been before. Since this was Macy's , and they were okay. I didn't even check it out until the second package was sent. It was then I received the second shipment that I went into my checking account that I realized that this company, Satin Youth, had commuted fraud. Don't make the same mistake!

We ordered a sectional sofa from Macy's at the end of 2016. Initially ordered this sofa as a traditional sofa. The sales person decided to add the upgraded sleeper without our consent. When the sofa was initially delivered, it wouldn't connect and didn't fit. We then had to wait for Macy's to send out a quality assurance person to confirm that it wouldn't connect (two weeks go by). Then had to wait again for another section to come out and install (another two weeks go by). Three weeks ago, we finally realized it was a sleeper section when we removed the cushions. I then emailed a report and image to Macy's and didn't hear back. I just spoke to Macy's and they're telling me that we cannot get the original we paid for and that we must of received a free upgrade. This has been a mess since we ordered this sofa and now we are stuck with a $2k sofa we didn't order. We also opened a Macy's credit account to purchase this sofa.

I was at Macy's. I have a steel rod in my leg and hip. I am a US veteran. I was upstairs at Macys and aked them for a wheelchair which they said they didn't have but I could get one across the mall. I told the clerk I couldn't walk. She sold me a luggage with wheels which I could lean on. It was $34.00. I tried to pay the bill next time I was in Macys but they wouldn't accept the charge. I forgot about it figuring they would send me a bill. 6 months later they sent me a bill for several hundred dollars for "interest." when I called them they would not nogotiate the interest charges because they said they sent me a bill on the internet. I never agreed to have the internet billing but they are insistant that I pay and in fact turned it over to a collection agency. GC Services. I intend to sue Macys and get the employees responsible into court. I have sent them a letter explaining why I didn't owe the money but they ignored the letter. I can see now why they are going out of business.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY FROM MACYS BECAUSE THEIR FURNITURE LOOKS NICE, BUT THE QUALITY IS SUBPAR AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC!!!

I ordered $5000 worth of bedroom and office furniture from the Macy's Furniture on Britton Parkway on Black Friday November 2016. Due to the office furniture being on back order, they told me I would have to wait to have my bedroom furniture delivered unless I would like to pay for delivery twice. At that time the office furniture was on back order for one month. I agreed I could wait because they we would receive our furniture before Christmas. A month later I called Macy's because I expected a call of when the furniture would be delivered, but never received it yet. After calling Macy's customer service, they informed me the office furniture would not be delivered before January 11, 2017. After complaining to Macy's it's been 1 1/2 months since purchasing my furniture, I need to have my new bedroom furniture, they agreed to delivery my bedroom furniture at no cost to me.

The delivery of my bedroom furniture was delivered the first weekend of January. The furniture guys did a great job with bringing the furniture in and quickly putting the bed together. About one week later another group of furniture guys brought and put together my office furniture. The desk, none of the three guys knew how to put the desk together and were guessing. I suggested using the instructions. Once they had the instructions, they were able to put the desk together quickly.

While cleaning the furniture, I realized the legs on the bed did not look vertical. The filing cabinet also made a clicking noise. I called Macy's customer service and they informed me they would send a technician. The technician came and fixed the legs on the bed. He also fixed the locking mechanism on the filing cabinet which locks one drawer when the other is open.Shortly after the technician left, I quickly became aware the letter filing poles in the filing cabinet were to narrow so they would not fit a letter size hanging file folder. I called customer service and they stated they would send another technician. This appointment they had to set out two weeks. Speaking with customer service about the inconvenience, they said I could return the product, I could have technician fix the problem, or I could have the product replaced. Customer service said the next shipment for the filing cabinet was not until April. I said I could not wait that long to use the filing cabinet. I asked if I could defer payment on the filing cabinet, they said I would have to talk with Macys credit. Macys credit told me they would not defer that cost because the furniture was delivered. I called my Macys store (Dionne) and they said there was nothing they could do. I called customer service again and spoke with Arlin who said they would have the technician come to fix AND would be able to request replacement pieces. They did provide me a 10% discount ($46) for the all the inconveniences.

The technician came out again, and he didn't have the correct equipment to fix the cabinet, but he used a different type of drill to move the file hanging poles out. He had to do it on four side of two drawers because the paneling was incorrectly drilled by the manufacture. After fixing the drawers, he told me that he cannot say replacements are needed, but I should call Customer Service. I spoke with the customer service rep (Vickie) and she said since the drawers are fixed, they would not replace the drawers. I spoke with her supervisor (Stephanie) who said they would not fix the drawers not that they met the manufacture standards. I said the drawers were altered, and not meeting manufacture standard, but I purchased a product to be working correctly when purchased. She was rushing to get off the phone. She said she would have her manager call me since I requested the call. I expect, he/she too will not satisfy me by replacing the drawers to meet the standards I expect from the very expensive furniture we purchased.

My recommendation is to NEVER BUY FROM MACYS FURNITURE. I wish I would have read Yelp before making my purchase, because they've received really bad reviews.

This black friday will be 2 years since i'm dealing with Macy's and their crooked cashier. I have been a card holder with Macy's since 2002. Always paid my bill, never late etc. My self, my daughtet, and a friend went into Macy's trying to take advantageof the black friday sales when we got in line in the shoe department of Macy's Cumberland Mall. There we met on a very rude cashier, who was deep in conversation, with the cashier next to her, and the customer in his line. My friend went first in cashing out her items, ask the cashier whats the price on her item, she rudely told her i'm just her to cash you out.

My turn I told her, I'm making a payment and a purchase, she didnt even acknowledge me. I gave her $450.00 all 20.00 bills and one 10.00 bill, she took the money, counted it. She said next in line I said did you forget I'm also making a purchase? She rolled her eyes continued talking to her friends, and scan my purchase. I turned to my friend, and said I'm out of this store i cant take the attitudes. She rang me up I left.

A few days later I went to make a purchase and wastold my card declined. I called customer service, and they told me they didnt see my 450.00 payment, but because of the holiday, the system was very slow so wait a few days for it to show. I waited a whole month it never showed. I called customer service many times when eventually i was told i had to go report it to the store. I spoke with lost prevention at the store who told me to talk to the department manager. I spoke with Todd, who is the manager in the shoe department, he said well i dont know what happen, the draw isnt short/over, and since Macy's camera rotates its hard to see what happened. He told me contact the store manager, Doug Prescott.

Doug, told me that i needed to find my reciept ( almost 6 months after) I told him i couldnt find it (i was so pissed when i left i really don't even remember, if one was given) he said after checking with his team there was no record of and there is nothing they can do. All of this after security, loss prevention, the department manager Todd who all said the same thing, the cameras rotate, and you cant trust that said employee.

Allow employees to bully others

I worked at macys on/off for over 25 years. I was very successful in my job and others wanted my position. They started a campaign to get me fired by making up lies about me. The bullying went on and on. Managers did nothing about it. They turned a blind eye to it all. Finally the lies got so bad that they made up a complete story that I threatened to harm them. It was a completely fabricated story but because there were more of them than there was of me.., management believed the lies and I was forced to resign. They continue to tell the lie to anyone who will listen and I can't get them to stop. I have no money for an attorney but I want to be left alone. Bullying is a horrible thing. Macys takes no responsibility!!!!

I return stuff to Macys and instead of crediting my Macys card they issue Merchandise Certificates. I call and they say they will transfer the money to my card, but it's like pulling teeth. You get stuck paying interest! What a scam!

1. Trying to pay online is very very difficult for the last three months because website payments site has been down for about 3 months, come on.2 Trying to pay in store seems like a chore to the salespeople or payment desks.3The personnel seem to harass people for "just" coming in to pay bill, is this a conspiracy? sure seems like it.4 late charges for my wife are about 25% of her bill.

  • Oct 23, 2015

About ten days following purchasing items from Macy's I received a call from a "collection agency" requesting the exact date I was paying this bill. I hadn't even received a bill yet and it certainly couldn't be due or overdue. I also have an excellent payment record. I called Macy's customer service to complain about this and they told me it was their policy and that this was the "Macy's collection agency" making the calls. I do not wish to do business with Macy's again.

Thisi situation happened about a year ago but I have continued to be angry over this.

(Macy employee searched my bags and purse and stole 30 dollars out of my purse. Macy sent me a collection bill stating that I owe them 150.00.

I Dominique Sandra Marie Lax went to the perimeter mall in Dunwoody Perimeter Mall, 4300 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30346 (770) 396-2800 to go shopping at Macy with 200.00 store credit I'd saved. I was with my mom (crystal) and four year old son . I had used 45.00 of store credit when I bought my mom a pair of shoes.

I continue to shop for myself, my mom went outside of Macy patio area with my son because he was getting restless and started acting up in the store. My mom was sitting right outside of Macy entrance way, where the table and chairs are located and the children little play area.

I was in the store for a while still shopping, the items that I were going to buy was resting on top of my other Macy bag. I knew that I was taking a long time so I walk toward the Macy entrance doors but not pass the scanners device of the entrance. I was trying to tell my mom that I'm almost done, but I didn't see her. Later she told me that she took the baby to go get something to eat Chinese food to be exact.

My family buy a lot of clothing from Macy's near my home, and we use bank credit card points to exchange for Macy's gift card and we also have many macy's return store credit card when we return.

Today, before we went to shop at Macy's, my wife told me to pick several of those gift cards or return cards, I checked about 8-9 Macy's card and found 6-7 with zero balance, so I threw them away, and took 2 cards with balance to go to Macy's with my wife.

I purchased 2 pants and when we used the one with balance to pay, the cashier told me there is only $1.51. My wife was surprised, and asked back the card after we use the $1.51 as part of the payment because she could not remember any card with such low balance.

After we came home, we called 800-511-2752 to check the activity of the card 8361654347112098421, we found following transaction: my wife got this card as a return credit of $194.

45 on 11/30/14, my wife made $128.62 purchase online on 8/24/15, and 3 days later, my wife received an email that one of the 3 items that she ordered is out of stock and Macy's would issue a credit of $42.51 back to the gift card, but Macy's actually charged the gift card $42.51 on 8/27/15 instead of refund. so we paid $42.51 twice for a cancelled item, leaving balance only $1.51, and $21.81 missing. We called Macy's, Macy's customer service - Jenny Luin and her supervisor - May told me that they would check it and recently something something was wrong with their system.

We are so shocked with the Macy's system, we never thought the calculation and operation would be wrong. My wife estimated that the 6-7 gift cards that I threw away could add up to around $1,800 - 2,000, but because their system went wrong and I thought those cards had zero balance and threw them away! This is ridiculous!!!

I saw an ad in the newspaper showing shirts on clearance for 6.99 .I went down to take a look about 7:30 pm on the first day of the 4 day sale (9-2-15to9-5-15).I spent about 30 minutes looking for any shirts for 6.99 but only found prices at about 15.00 or more.I went and found an employee to help find the shirts in the ad that I showed her.The employee came up with the same results and then called someone else with no luck.I was then told I should go to the lynnwood store as it is a bigger store and would likely to have the shirts I was looking for.
