Long story short, I made a warranty claim for a partail refund and made sure my claim didn't violate their policies. They agreed to refund a portion of my purchase price. This was handled primarily through email to their customer service, but a phone call was also made to verify the amount and claim because email response suddenly stopped. That was my first warning. I was reassured when they agreed to honor the claim over the phone.

The money never appeared in my account. I emailed and never received a response. I called and am put on "terminal hold". I believe they have some sort of system that populates information based on the phone number used to order and know what to do when they get a call from that number based on history.

Bottom line, they are just out to take AND KEEP as much money as possible from anyone they can. Their warranty is a lie because they tell you what you want to hear and then ignore you when you try to hold them to their word.

Close call indeed... I came across their business web site when looking for a 99 forester transmission. Was encouraged to see the pricing, quick shipping, and especially the warranty info being offered so I called my mechanic and asked him to check it out. He spoke to a gentelman named Steve who confirmed it was the right part and assured him the add was true and legitimate in regard to what was being offered. I had to purchase the item myself and have it shipped to the garage. I immediately called to speak to this Steve and complete the order... I was placed on hold at once and left there for 20-25 minutes. I hung up and called back. A man answered I asked to whom I was speaking and without a word was placed on hold again. It was at this point that I looked into the company a bit more online. I found the complaints as well as the BBB report showing the 17 claims against them. I can honestly say that my brief experience with them supports what the others had described. I consider myself very fortunate to have made this discovery before putting out over a thousand dollars. My advice based on personal experience is buyer beware.. if it sounds too good to be true it usually is!!

jeep transmission was junk :(

We purchased a Jeep transmission and the added cost for the 5 yr warranty seemed like a good investment. When the rusty transmission arrived, it was evident it had NOT been inspected. Our mechanic called...no luck reaching anyone...so we have copies of the email conversation...after reassurance that it had BEEN INSPECTED, he proceeded to install it.. guess what? IT was full of rusty water. After flushing and installation, the transmission was INDEED A DUD !!!

They were quick to offer to pick it up and we had to place a hold on our credit card to insure a credit.

NOW WE HAVE THE ADDITIONAL COSTS OF INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL.... and had to locate and purchase another transmission ( a local one this time) and pay to have that installed.

No one answers the phone and the last emails shared accused me of threatening them when I told them I WOULD SHARE my experiences.

We are requesting they cover the extra costs ..... am pretty sure that wont happen.... especially since no one answers the phone except to sell an unsuspecting customer...

signed,

Sad unsuspecting customer

What a mistake

Ordered my part received wrong tacking #. Emailed them received right tracking #. It's been over a week and part has yet to show up at UPS even though a label was made. They stopped answering my emails and when I call I never get off call waiting.

Rip-off

They sent me a rusted, leaking rear-end that never should have left the junk yard. This is a scam/rip-off company steer clear!!!

Parts were garbage, and impossible to contact them

The struts I received were really garbage.... Even had oil leaking off them... They were clearly just out of a junk yard, and they didn't even check their good functioning, like THEY ADVERTISE on their web site. I could've bought them directly out of the junk yard myself, for three times cheaper !!!

I tried to contact them, but they really have no idea about what customer service really is. I was on hold for over an hour, and eventually I gave up. Nobody ever answered. I did this three days in a row, with the same outcome. I tried to contact them by email, and never replied.

They have the attitude that they don't give a damn about you, or what you think of them...

In summary, I will never even dream of buying anything from them ever again...

If i could give low mileage auto parts no stars i would. They claim their engines are run tested, "lie". They claim their engines have a 5 year warranty, "lie".

The engine, my husband bought, had a crushed oil pan and filter, which is smashed against the block. All crumple areas have extensive rust. The drain plug is smashed beyond removal. There's still old oil, with gas in it, in the engine. We pulled the spark plugs; there is water, spiders webs, and green corrosion. Yet not one sign this engine has ran since its accident. Oh, they are holding to this engine was *never* in an accident and all damage is shipping related. We have a plethora of emails and photos to the contrary and started a charge back.

This company places the part on their website to lure potential buyers. The price at first glance was low. I placed an order online utilizing their discount coupon, Lowmileageparts.com then cancels my order replying they had tested the part and it was not up to their standards. A couple days later, I view a different part on their website I wanted to purchase. The price was similar to the previous part. Lowmileageparts.com system would not let me place the order on a different part because I had used their infamous discount coupon on the previous order. I communicated with personally with Lowmileageparts.com (which takes over 30 minutes to get a service representative) to request them to reset the discount coupon in order to facilitate the purchase. Lowmileageparts.com system would not let me make a purchase let alone the full price. The next day Lowmileageparts.com raises the price on the part to a ridiculously high price of an additional one thousand dollars tagged to the original price of the same part on their webpage. Lowmileageparts.com does not have a physical address on their webpage. I recommend shop somewhere else and stay away from Lowmileageparts.com.

Unfortunately, all the negative reviews for Low Mileage Parts are true. This company owes us $3000+ in warranty related fees and won't pay up. They won't answer phone calls or emails. They won't even answer calls for new business. This is very disappointing and a dishonest way of doing business. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

The short story is we bought a new rebuilt engine from them that went bad in less than 4 months. This engine was was under warranty and for more than 18 months we've been trying to get them to reimburse of for the warranty on the engine. They don't answer calls or emails. It's very frustrating and dishonest.

Please be warned and do not do business with this company.

This company sent a transmission that was wrong and literally took a month and over 30 email communications to send a refund. During that time period they stated they were shipping a replacement but after 2weeks and no shipment said they didn't have one. These people were the worst I've ever dealt with out of any company I've ever ordered parts from. Do Not do business with them you will simply be wasting your time and money!

Absolutely horrible company. Ordered the part from them on September 2 never received it but they charge me right away they got their money I never got a part. Never can get anybody on the phone unless you go through their new order area in the menu. And when you finally do get somebody on the new order part they just tell you that it’s going to ship today or this week or that you should call back. Will never suggest or purchase from this company again and went through my bank to dispute the charge on my card. Stay away from this company at all costs.

This place is a scam. Ripped me off with a piece of garbage then refused to refund me. Tried calling, could never reach anyone. Voicemail FULL. Full of complaints, I'm guessing. They have an F on the Better Business Bureau website, and they're frustrating to email with. Total jerks. BUY AT YOUR OWN PERIL. You were warned.

The advertised "quality used parts" have had the following results, in my experience: 1) the first engine shipped had a shredded timing belt and the pistons were locked; 2) the second engine did not even make 9,000 miles before it was totally useless (with 3,000 mile oil change sequence), as was proven by the mechanical description sent to the company. The five year warranty has also been very lacking. It took over a month for the company to replace the first defective engine - with multiple calls and emails to get any response. Now, we are still waiting to hear back from the company regarding the second motor situation -- which was promised to be delivered within 5 business days, in an email sent by the company on July 15 (copy available on request). It has still not arrived, nor has anything been said about it in response to several emails sent to the company - in fact, we have at least 5 unanswered email to them pending.

Desired Outcome/Settlement

Desired Settlement: Refund

We paid $839.99 to have an engine with a 5 year warranty. Since the engine failed within 9 months (and 9000 miles) of its being professionally installed (in accord with all the directions provided); and the company has not made good on the warranty by providing another working engine (or any engine at all in nearly two months after being provided their required paperwork); we would like to receive $715.00 ( the pro rata remaining value on the engine/waranty) so we can move forward with getting our car taken care of locally.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES

They sent me the complete wrong transmission for my truck and then told me that I need to buy additional parts to MAKE that transmission work on my truck (they sent me an electronic controlled and my truck is not electronic controlled). They were very rude - calling me a moron and f***ing idiot. They refused to take the transmission back and when I disputed the charge on my credit card, they said the part was now "stolen". Oh, and the transmission they sent me looked like it was about 100 years old, covered with oil. It appeared that they just ripped it out of another vehicle from a junk yard. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY NEED TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.

If you are reading this before buying anything from Low Mileage Parts then you are luckier than I was, do not, I repeat, DO NOT purchase anything from these people. I just went through the pain of dealing with this company and it left me with a transmission for the wrong car and a car that still won't run...

About a month ago I was searching for a replacement transmission for my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, I love my car and I wasn't going to let a transmission problem separate me from her. But, I'm also a broke college student, so I looked for deals, and that’s where they got me. A google search of "1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Transmission" brought me to a page for Low Mileage Parts, and a transmission that was almost $200 lower than the next closest company. So I bought it.

Nowhere on the site did it mention anything about a long weekend for Memorial Day, but they were off for not only the Monday of Memorial Day but the Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe this is why they never EVER pick up their phones if you call them). My bank account transaction was pending for so long that I tried to my bank to cancel it for my money back. But that's not how that works, it has to clear before I can fight it. So Thursday comes along and I receive and e-mail confirmation that my order has shipped (Hurray!) along with all the details and a time to expect delivery.

Delivery day... I had the order shipped to my place of work because they allow free shipping to commercial addresses (because as I stated before I'm broke). It was my day off, but I still went to work with my truck to get my stuff. Shipping company said 1pm, so I got to work at 12:30... At 2pm I called them and asked where my order was. I was informed it would arrive by 6pm because "the truck couldn’t get into the driveway" and they "need a smaller truck." FINALLY I get my transmission, load it in my truck and take it home (and by home I mean my brother's house since he's a mechanic, and I'm broke).

My transmission sits at his house for a while (about 20 days) until he is able to try and install it. Low and behold! I messed up… In my excitement of finding a cheap transmission when googling my car I did not realize that it was for a Cherokee and not a Grand Cherokee (kind of a big difference). Not only that but it's a 1999 Cherokee not 1998. But that’s not all. Even though I needed a "Rebuilt 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Transmission" I ordered a "Rebuilt 1998 Jeep Cherokee Transmission" and I received a "USED 1999 Jeep Cherokee Transmission."

Even though I ordered the wrong part they didn't even ship me what I ordered.

So I called their Customer Support line... 30 minutes of my life I will never get back.

I called again but this time I opted to speak to an "Auto Parts Specialist," and I spoke with a gentleman who tried walking me through the refund process, which included paying $260 for return shipping and a %20 restocking fee. Making my refund a whopping $80... I told them even though this isn't the part I needed, it isn't even the part you told me you were shipping to me. And that argument went nowhere...

So PLEASE learn from my mistakes and DO NOT purchase anything from this site unless you love call waiting music and wasting money!!

Close Call - BUYER BEWARE

My husband and I were in an unfortunate position where our engine in our 2004 Dodge Durango had a Valve drop into the piston. We had to replace the engine. My husband is a mechanic, trying to find this engine at a decent price, with a good warranty was hard. I finally found one for $3,000 on Lowmileageparts.com. Everything looked great, and reassuring. I read through their 5 year warranty, and it all checked out. I wasn't able to find anywhere whether or not it was a rebuilt engine, or if it was simply used. So, I called the number to try and find out how many miles was on it before purchasing. Was on hold for 15 minutes before a guy came on the phone and immediately put me back on hold. 20 more minutes passed before I was hung up on. I figured it was a fluke, so I called back. Same thing happened. I never got to speak to anyone, started digging around on the internet, definitely glad they hung up on me, or I would have been out $3k and had a shitty engine to boot. BUYER BEWARE!

Complete Scam Artist

Purchased parts from the company. One part was defective and their response was to challenge the validity of the issues for the the installer. Trying to get a refund has been like pulling teeth. Let the buyer beware. Steer clear of this merchant and spend a few more dollars on a reputable business.

RIP OFF!! Rude !!

I ordered a ECU form them they sent the wrong part I received a TFI module for ford. I called and was left on hold for over an hour never got to speak to anyone. So then I leave an email with the complaint. Well I get a reply that was very rude and says that is the part I ordered and I say that I receive a TFI not and ECU. It then escalates from there. That I don't know what I'm talking about and I'm threatening them and that I was a theif. When asked about being a thief they say your going to keep our part and cancel the purchase on your credit card and that was theft. I then said I will return your part. Out of this whole time never did they ask what can be done to get the right part or if they even had it. THEY ARE RUDE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS AT ALL. When I ask how do you get and ECU mixed up with TFI module they tell me that all ECU stands for is an electrical module and that it could be any module on the car!!!!! After that I just was so dumbfounded I hung up. DO NOT EVER DO Business with these people !!! They are the worst I have ever dealt with EVER !! And I've been doing this for over 20+ years !!

TFI module 36.00 at autozone

ECU they charge 97.00

Why would I spend 97.00 on a TFI module I can get for 36 at the local auto part store BRAND NEW ????? they couldn't answer that.
