SHAME ON HARLEY-DAVIDSON OF ANAHEIM FOR CANCELING THE HOCUS POCUS BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER THIS SATURDAY OCT 10!

DON’T BUY YOUR HARLEY-DAVIDSON HERE! DON'T GET SCREWED LIKE WE DID.

Dear Prospective Buyer,

You can do better than these guys, Don't buy your Harley here. The owners don't like to follow through on agreements. You might get screwed liked we did by Kevin Jones or Tim Browne.

You should know news is traveling very fast in the community and througg Southern California about how our organization was treated by Los Angeles Harley-Davidson of Anaheim.

Make no mistake, we are a strong, caring sisterhood of breast cancer survivors and voluntters and we have husbands, boyfriends, partners and friends that love Harley-Davidson but do not support this dealership for bailing on our event last minute and then trying to pin it all on us.

We worked with a top-notch event planner. We have been putting fires out since Wednesday when without notice or explanation Tim Browne, the General Manager at Los Angeles Harley-Davidson of Anaheim just cancelled our big fundraiser! Later Wednesday afternoon, when we finally got a hold of Tim on the telephone, he scrambled for a legitimate answer and could only come up with he had not seen an event map and schedule. Turns out that management (LAHDOA) did have it, but I guess Lindsey Jones (the owner's wife) did not give it to Tim. Or maybe the whole thing was a "test lie" to see if our group would accept it and move on.

We had sent a proposed event schedule on Sept 22 or 23 and emailed a rough draft of a basic outdoor map for the VIP and Staging area, all of which was to be finalized this Thursday along with other event details. Plus, it makes no sense to cancel over that, when any volunteer could just send him a copy they had. Tim apparently did not think his lie all the way through!!

When Tim discovered his lame excuse was not going work, I assume he went to Lindsey and Kevin Jones, the owners and together they cooked up something all new and seemingly more believable to them. Their new reason for cancellation of this event without notice or explanation was no ABC license for a cash bar and no copy of insurance listing them. But we had left voicemail days before about the question of a cash bar as an option because so many people were now expected or an open bar for a limited time. The management then tried to pretend NOW this is our reason.

So here's the real reason for cancellation (well this is what I think) - they a selfish, uncaring people . Harley- Davidson of Anaheim doesn't care beans about its female customers or causes like breast cancer. For them, and so many other companies out there, Breast cancer awareness is just marketing tool for them to try to sell a bike, not a call to action as caring corporate citizen or community business. They just don't care that this was our only big event for October to raise money for our cause. If they had cared, then someone from district management or corporate could have or should have stepped in and worked it out for the greater good, especially since we survivors and the volunteers did nothing wrong.

This is getting messy folks and it's not going away. The wagons are circling. People are very angry and they should be! It's a darn shame what happened here and I'm telling anyone who will listen. Next stop OC Register and then the TV News. Thousands dollars spent and lost by our non-profit, our reputation and good- will questioned, all because these men at LAHDOA believe since they represent Harley- Davidson, then the rules don't apply them. Oh, yes they do!

Gentleman you cannot just cancel a planned event at will and assume our group will accept these losses and go home. Not a chance that's happening.

DON’T BUY YOUR HARLEY-DAVIDSON HERE! THESE PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER HARLEY-DAVIDSON LOCATIONS RUN BY GOOD, FAIR, HONEST PEOPLE.

SAVE YOURSELF THE DRIVE AND JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Los Angeles Harley Davidson of Anaheim (located in Fullerton) had agreed to host and co-sponsor a charity fundraiser on October 10, 2015 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I had agreed to be one of the many volunteers to help with this important event because I have someone very close to me that is a breast cancer survivor, so I had made plans to drive over from Arizona to help make this important event a success.

I was amazed at the participants that the event planners had been able to line up for this fund-raiser. There were live performers set up (an all-girl internationally known band named "Saga Strings"), Playboy's Miss October 2015, Hells Belles and others. Many others were contributing goods and services to the event, because they too had experienced this terrible affliction in their family and are supporters of the search for breast cancer causes and cures.

I was informed (along with all the other volunteers) that Los Angeles Harley Davidson of Anaheim cancelled this event for no good or justifiable reason, just (3) days prior, on Wednesday, October 7th. As a volunteer in events like this before, I know there were deposits and financial commitments made. I also learned that the Breast Cancer Research Foundation itself put out money to create a promotional video for the event.

The event had been promoted via social media and a nice web-site and it was my understanding that hundreds of people were planning on attending.

The people running this dealership basically ripped off one of the top-rated cancer charities in the country, the planners and vendors for this event, as well as the dozens of volunteers who had put time and there own money into the preparation for it. They also ripped off the members of the community who wholehaertedly support this cause, by denying them a professionally-produced event to raise awareness and money for a cause dear to thir hearts.

I am writing this to express my utter discust and distain for the management and owners of this Harley Davison Dealership because of the unprofessional and unethical behavior they have demonstrated along with a total lack of concern for the ramifications of their last minute antics and cancellation. I don't think the CEO of Harley Davidson would be very pleased with this kind of behavior being associated with their Brand........

Anyone thinking of doing business with the dealership in the future should have second thoughts about it. If keeping your word and committment to an important charity means so little to them, then how will they treat you as a customer?

If you are looking to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle, I would stay away from this dealership and these people. They have demonstrated that their business and community ethics are anything but upstanding and you will likely get burned.
