Line-X Linings Reviews

  • Nov 13, 2017

I turned my 2008 Ford F250 over to Josh Werner owner of Linex of Montgomery May 14 2016. Linex of Montgomery (Josh) told me the project for the truck would take 8 days to 14 days to complete. The scope of the project was to spray the following parts with Linex Ultra. A new front steel bumper, the door handles and tailgate handle, the mirrors, the fuel cap, the rear bumper, the cowl cover and winshield whippers. They were also going to install 2 LED lights bars provided by me. After one month I contacted Josh to see where the truck was at in progress. Josh told me that they were running behind and that the truck should be done in 10 days and asked which fog lights I wanted to use for the new bumper which I informed him and he ordered. For the next couple of months Linex of Montgomery kept making up excuses for why the truck project had not been completed yet.

I Finally came in to Linex of Montgomery to see the truck bumpers off, the door handles off, the mirrors off, and the cowl off the truck in prep for getting sprayed with Linex Ultra.

Linex of Montgomery's GM (John) informed me that the company was having trouble with labor and that was why my truck was taking so long. When Linex of Montgomery said this they were working on other projects while my project sat. Josh contacted me via text in September (4months past the verbally quoted timeline for completion) saying that he felt bad and was going to undercoat the truck, detail the outside of the truck for free and asked my permission to use the truck for advertising purposes at their booth at the sandwich fair. I agreed to that and agreed the proposition of adding new tires to the truck since it was something that needed to be done before the winter season.

October came and I visited the truck at the fair and it still was not complete but at least had the bumpers sprayed and mounted, door handles/tailgate cover, cowl cover, fuel door cap, windshield wipers. The LED lights were not installed or mounted. The Fog lights for the new bumper were installed but not connected. This is in October of 2016 that the truck was not ready. I told Josh mutiple times to complete the truck the following week and it did not happen and Linex of Montgomery ignored my text messages or danced around the facts that they were working on other projects while mine was pushed to the side. I told Linex of Montgomery in December of 2016 that I needed the Truck back before the new year, this never happened.

Josh (owner of Linex of Montgomery) finally contacted me via text stating that he was sorry and has never had a clients vehicle so long for a project so close to being finished. I informed him I needed the truck to move some of my trailers for work and he told me to use one of his trucks while he completed the lighting aspect of my truck. I used Linex of Montgomerys truck to move my trailers and then had there truck sit at my lot while I awaited Linex of Montgomery to call with the completion of my truck. This did not happen and I finally said enough is enough and drove to Linex of Montgomery with their vehicle on April of 2017 nearly one year from the start of this project that was quoted to take 8 to 14 days. I dropped off their truck and told them im taking my truck back completed or not. At this point neither Josh (owner) or John (GM) had a invoice made up of kept track of costs. They could not present a invoice and stated I owed them $6500.00 dollars! The truck was taken from me for a year and they were trying to charge me an insane amount for the terrible customer service and par work. I disagreed with this completely and Linex of Montgomery said I could not have the truck back until I paid the invoice in full of which they kicked me out of their shop.

I left Linex of Montgomery and persude legal action against Linex of which to date November 11th 2017 (a year and 6months later) is still occuring costing me thousand of dollars in letigation and still no truck. I attained a quote for the same work from another Linex dealer locally which they quoted 8 days and $1800.00 to complete the same project. I went to see the truck at Linex on 11/11/17 the first time I have been able to see the truck and the interior of the truck is in pieces, dash panels are off, wiring is hanging, and damage to the driver side seat has been done by one of Linex of Montgomery employees. They just left the truck trashed. This truck was immaculate before I dropped it off to Linex of Montgomery a year and 6 months ago. My consumer rights have been violated and I highly recommend staying away from Linex of Montgomery. I still have yet to have a resolution to this matter and do not see the end of this terrible experience any time soon.
