Let the buyer beware if you chose to deal with this company!

I purchased a battery operated tricycle from Liberty Medic which was described to be "in stock" on their website. The tricycle's descripton also said that the tricycle could be used with or without pedaling. I called to make sure the tricycle was actually in stock as I was purchasing it as a gift for someone in physical recovery and was told personally that it was in stock and it would ship in 2-4 days. I was estatic as that meant it would arrive for this person's birthday!

1) I was charged IMMEDIATELY for this item, and the bicycle was not shipped for almost a MONTH! So much for a timely birthday gift, and what company charges, in full, for an item they don't even have in stock? They lied that the item was in stock, so don't believe them if you order something and expect it to be sent as as stated on their website!

2) The tricycle arrived and was either damaged OR was so poorly designed that nobody could pedal it. Sure, it worked using the battery, but how could my daughter rehab if she couldn't pedal it. And if you think it was because she was weak, well that's not the case. Not one person in our family could pedal this trike despite some of the people being athletes! Furthermore, this trike pulled significantly to the left when you were riding it-- the trike was DANGEROUS!

3) NO Hassle Free Returns (as they promise on their website)- When I asked for a return, I was told that I'd have to pay a 20% restocking fee AND pay for return shipping. Nowhere was this indicated on my receipt during purchase or on their website. This return was anything BUT hassle free.

I bought an up walker for my wife and after receiving she felt it was too large to move around in our home. I contacted LibertyMedic about a return. There "customer service" rarely picks up and does not, I repeat, does not return calls.

Finally, I was instructed to return the equipment after my request was approved which I did. They did not provide a shipping label which was my first clud there was something wrong here. The return cost me $123.34 with UPS.

LibertyMedic received the return 12.28 and since that time I have not got my refund. I have called, left messages, and sent emails with no response. Customer Servie does not pick up; it goes to voice mail every time.
