Lexington Law Reviews

  • Jul 7, 2021

I am on the national do not call list and I received a robocall that connected me to Lexington Law for supposed credit help and claiming I was searching for a rent to own home... WHY? I own my home outright, why would I want to rent one of their homes. Of course, they also claimed that I have credit problems and wanted their help.

I called the main office in salt lake city Utah and asked for John Heath (Directing Attorney) and I was told I would have to sign up for service before talking to him about the Robocall issue... REALLY! Pay them, hire them, to get them to stop Robocalling my phone... Hmm.. I have reported them to the Utah State Bar, BBB, and FCC and they still continue to harass me on the phone with their pre-recorded robocalls.

I wish i has seen the other notices on scamion before i joined up with them. I've learned my lesson. I'll contact the companies on my own if need be.

When i signed up they told me that they were real lawyers and paralegals and would be sending letters on my behalf to the credit companies and that the companies after a time, about a month or two, they would remove the negative items from my credit report. Even though i asked to see them, they never sent me copies of the letters. Then just before they drew their monthly payment, i'd get an email saying they sent letters to this or that company. I really wonder if they are truly paralegals/lawyers or if that too is bogus.

They kept sending me notices that this or that negative credit report was removed so when i went to my credit reports All 3) to check, they were all still there and not removed at all!

The problem they have now caused is that now all those companies they contacted have added negative remarks on my credit report that were not there before lexington law sent those 'letters'.

I have cancelled my account with them - which took about two weeks of constant calls and emails and have instructed my bank to not allow any withdrawals from my account by them.

Amazingly, once it was cancelled, they kept calling and emailing - asking me to contact them so that they could help me with my credit report. It was like i never was part of their clientele at all.

I had hired Lexington Law for credit repair in early 2017.

They didnt make much of a difference on my credit score. The customers sign in to what they refer to as a "case valet" which should report the progress on your case. But, this is information they upload, which most is false.

I discovered they were not removing items of my reports as they were reporting to me.

Upon research and viewing reports at the 3 credit bureaus, Lexington LAw was reporting false information.

I attempted to cancel them and they gave me a hrad time and stated no refund.

i advised I would report to the BBB and attorney genral and they then canceled and refunded.

AND!!!

a month later I had identity theft issues. I know they either used or sold my profile.

It was and ai apprent.

Lexington Law is a fake fraud!!

I was connected by a lending company. I agreed to a charge of $14.99 for my credit report. I was charged $129.95 for some services. I never received any notice prior to this charge or information regarding these services or any payment agreement.

when speaking to a representative the first time I was hung up on. the second time I was told that I logged on to the client portal. I never receive any log on information but somehow I logged in per their records. I was then told either a refund of half the amount or they could "review" their tapes, to which they would say that I agreed to these services.

Basically the only option I had was to get a refund of $64. I had to miss work since this charge put my bank account into the negative and was unable to put gas in my car or groceries to feed myself.

Don't call them. It is absolutely scam, I had a very frustrating experience with this non-responsive company that seems to do nothing but be intent on ruining reputations.

As others have pointed out, it is a scams

I just wanted to report how we were decieved by the Lexington Law Firm by presenting to us how easy it would be for them to have all of the errors that were showing up on our credit report. The presented a step by step solution process that according to the representative "in no time all of the errors in credit report would be all gone." Their wesite says that they have been around for the longes and that sure know what they are doing when it comes to credit reports. Well let me warn you that they have been around for the longest is probably true, because they are sure pros when it comes to delay tactics whenever we come up with a direct question or concer. They sure pretended to know the law very well but later on we found out that they know absolutely nothing on how to resolve our case, bercause they seem to have no idea what steps they were going to take next after any negative report appears on our credit report.

It has been one whole year and none of the errors that we have pointed out to them have been deleted from our personal credit reports. Then what really bothered me the most was when they tried to decieve us into thinking that they have done positive improvement on our credit report. When the fact of the matter is that it was I who was responsible for the positve changes that were showing up in our accounts.

You see when I realized that Lexington Law was not doing anything to improve our credit reports other than sending out notifications to us whenever there would be a change in our credit report. They had the audacity to claim that it was because of their actions that there was anything positive coming out of our credit report.

In reality all Lexington Law really did was tell us if there were positive or negative improvement in our account. Twelve whole months we paid them $99.95 twice each month. That is at least $2100.00 that we have paid them. All that money for nothing. Because they just kept on draging their feet and blaiming everything on the system. They keep on changing the team players that was working on our files, so we never get to talk to the same people that we have talked with in the past. No wonder every time we talk to them over the phone the person that we were talking to have no idea on what our case was about. So If I were you and the Lexington Law Firm personel were ever approach you. I would stay from these people. Remeber to keep your doors lock unless you want to be taken out for a ride by these so called Credit Repair professionals.

Closed my account with no notificatiion, confirmation number, or knowledge of this happening. After receiving a letter from them baCK in February, 2018, stating that they do NOT get involved with the legalities of program. I accessed a website about them helping to remove charge-offs, collections, late payments, bankruptcies, foreclosures, repossessions, judgments, tax liens, and credit inquiries. ALL of these except for credit inquiries, they do NOT get involved with. They have consistently not been honest.

When I signed up 6 mos. ago, I was quoted two different prices by the salesman, John Spear. These two prices are NON-EXISTENT. I ought to have realized at that time, exactly what type of company I was dealing with. But I just assumed that if I closed my account and chose another to deal with, they would all be the same. So I did nothing. The account was closed by someone (I don't know who) about a week ago, wherein I received NO notification, confirmation number, refund, or ANYTHING!!

Please be very cautious when dealing with this company. Just because they call themselves Lexington "LAW", obviously they just do NOT deal with legalities.

i contacted them or was switched over to them from the rent to own home sight, the guy on the phone asked me a bunch of questions then asked me to sign a few papers so he can access my info , witch i did then near the end of the conversation he’s talking real fast could hardly understand him but i herd $169.95 a month so i stopped him and said wtf I’m not agreeing to this he said it was done i had to call this no ( 800-341-8441 )to have it retracted.

I got a nice girl on the line we talked and she supposedly closed my case and said i wouldn’t be charged, but she could offer me a cheaper package, i said id talk it over with my wife and if we agreed id call her back on Monday, of course wife said no. I had a seizure and forgot abought it when i checked my email weeks later they been in both of my bank accounts taking money.

I called them and basically the girl on the phone said I’d call them back if i wonted the cheaper package and charged me the whole amount we went rounds telling her i canceled didn’t even sing up, only thing she offered was 55 off of the expensive package i told her i dint sign up then se said ok ill make a not that you dint wont the price cut i wonted to pay the whole amount wtf only option is to pay the 169.95 or take the 55 dollars off of that.

I had no option then to take the smaller amount I’m on disability and don’t have that kind of cash so i was strong armed into taking them and canceled them at the same time, in case i had a seizure again and forget to cancel this f*****g nightmare

  • Nov 30, 2017

*I am on disability and needed to get my credit score up for a home and car purchase, when I called Lexington Law to get my credit repaired. I also had my husband to do the same thing so we could get lower interest rates. They made promises that were never met. In fact, they lied and told us that a judgement against my husband from 15 years ago was removed, NEVER HAPPENED!! They also informed me they would remove most of my inquiries from my score, and when I never saw anything being done, they told me I had to do this myself! They just provided the addresses of a pre made letter that you have to download and print out and mail yourself!! After I cancelled I was told they would not refund our money and my credit score actually went down 52 points! If they miraculously removed any negative items from your report and your score goes up slightly, and you cancel their services, they put the items/ item back on your report! This company needs to be stopped before anymore consumers get ripped off! I would love to be a part of that along with 347 other people who have the same feeling!! I was told by a certain person who worked in this industry that credit repair companies can actually be worse for your credit as I’ve been investigating these negative complaints! I wish I could make a living playing video games while making a decent wage! Of course, I would do it legally and not rip innocent people off!!*

See my above complaints!

  • Oct 30, 2017

I signed up with them in July and it cost a 119 the start but they guaranteed that they could fix your credit and make your credit better than ever is they had keep control they keep guaranteeing you that they will make your credit better while they didn't they charge me $309 between July and October and I didn't know they were taking this money out until I realize they took out a $130 in October and they didn't make my credit any better they actually made it worse .it is worse than it's ever been and they have not done a d*** thing about it so do not go with them they are complete scam and a rip off

  • Oct 7, 2017

I also signed up to have Lexington Law Firm repair my credit. They also never told me about the charges $59.95 to be taken out. I NEVER authorized this payment!! A real problem with them is that every time you call, you talk to a different person like a call center.

Each person will tell you something different. They tell you they will call you back in 24 hrs... NOT!!! They're liars and getting a refund is like pulling teeth. This is just a rip off business.

NEVER, EVER let them work for you.. you will be the looser!!

  • Jul 20, 2017

It appears that this company runs numerous real estate rent with an option to purchase adds all over the country. They set up phone lines using other names all of which refer a would be customer to Lexington Law. It doesn't seem to matter how good or bad that your credit score is, they offer the same service $12.95 to $14,95 for the first month and then $99. a month therafter. The thing is that even if you agree and sign up with them you will not receive any listings for any property. They use excuses like they have the wrong email address and so forth. Here's the best part of this scam. When you actually call lexingtonlaw they deny any affiliation with the so called listing agents that will only provide information after you sign up with Lexington Law Credit Repair service. And then as previously stated you will not get access the realestate listings because they do not exist is my best guess?

Go to your bank, complain and pull back any payment sent to them, also get a new debit or credit card at that time.

Do Not Allow this company to continue robbing the general public. File Complaints with your state Attorney General, Consumer Complaint Division.

  • Jun 21, 2017

These people should really be ashamed. I started with them in April. At first they tell you that they can't charge you til they start on your case. Wrong. They charge you ASAP. They charge you $14.99 for a credit report then $119.95 for work they haven't done yet. I canceled in June. They charged me $119.95 for June, even though they did nothing at all. But, whatever. They wrote letters, rude letters at that, to creditors and never stopped them from calling, as they promised. They act like one removal is 3, just because it's coming off of all three credit reports. Lol. No that's one removal dear. They are scam artists and great at it. Also, they are playing with your credit score. Mine jumped up one point in 2 months, then all of a sudden, the first time I asked to cancel my account, my credit score jumped up 10 points over night and NO they did not cancel my account. They emailed me instead, to show me what im missing out on. Then, I call them. Again! Because one thing they won't do is answer the freaking phone. You will hold for hours sometimes and then mysteriously get disconnected. Hmmm interesting. It's insane how these people haven't been shut down by the government. It's absolutely insane. Oh yeah, when you finally talk to someone be advised they will sell you another dream over the phone to keep you on board. Do not fall for it at all. Just say no. They definitely will charge you for another month but forget it. Just pay it to get them out of your life and change your account number too, because Wells Fargo, another company not to be trusted, took $31 from my account, promising to stop any payments to Lexington Law, but did they honor it? No. Lexington still got my money. Did Wells Fargo get their money too? Yes, but in going to call them in a few minutes and demand my fee back!!! Did I forget to mention I just got settlement mony from them for stealing my money and I had nothing in my account on the day before my grandmother's funeral? But the thing is, I'd just deposited my entire paycheck in he bank 2 days prior. And someone from the bank decided to make another card on my account and used it. I got my money back the next day, then the next week I got paid back more of it because they'd been taking it over a period of time, little by little. All hose times I KNEW I hadn't spent that much money and I Knew those NSF fees were b.s.!!! Yes, that paid all that back. I am sick and tired of these rich people using poor people hard working people to get richer. This is why our President is in office now. So they can keep making America worse. Don't deal with Lexington Law, Wells Fargo or lkq corporation. They are all the worst! Scam artists! Ripoffs! Thieves!!!!! Wolves!!

Please be aware of using Lexington Law services for credit repair. I have just got off the phone with Lexington Law to cancel my services. The representative was very rude and tried to convince me to stay on with services. I have been with them only 2 1/2 months and they have already billed me three times , the lady informed me that I will also be billed on April 2 for March this will in fact be a fourth payment but I've only been with them for 2 1/2 months they claim that they are billing you for services rendered but it doesn't seem to appear that way. On top of all of this I agreed to quote of 59.95 per month for their services. Somehow my service package inflated to the $119 per month package which is not what I agreed to in January 2017. Please beware of this company they make it very difficult for you to cancel and they give you the runaround on the billing I wish I would have never enlisted their services.

  • Feb 18, 2017

I had signed up with Lexinton Law to remove any derrogatory remarks on my credit report and have since tried to cancell. Every I try to call to cancell I can never speak with a live human being and there is no way to cancell.

  • Jan 28, 2017

I signed up with this company in December of 2016. Was told how they would improve my score and that they would remove items including credit inquiries. After a couple of weeks I chatted online with them and was told they do not dispute inquiries and I'd have to do that myself. After consideration I called the next day, January 10, 2017 and informed them to cancel our service and advised them " your company or affiliates are no linger authirizedbto charge my account". I was assured it was closed. On January 27, 2017 I received 2 charges. Each for $119.95 for a total of $239.90. I emailed them and told them that I had wanted it canceled. I then that day chatted with them online and the lady stated they had no record of me calling. How nice. I explained The situation and she said they would refund $60.00 and. Ithjng more. After much debate I told her I wanted a supervisor to call me and that I was disputing charges as I had copies If my chat sessions with them. I then e mailed the team again and received the same BS answers. I've filed a dispute with my bank. I'm takin to social media. I'm doing this complaint and my next stop is with the BBB. It's amazing they have record of almost everything EXCEPT my cancellation. Seems they do this quite often.

This company has strung me along for several months telling me I will see changes that will improve my credit score. Thia hasen't happend. They do only enough each month to say they did something. Just before they billed me each month they send an email telling me "these letters have been sent on my behalf." It is always 3 letters. Nothing comes from them. All I have really gotten from Lexington Law is more debt. I would advise thet if you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on credit repair that you should get a real lawyer.
