On 6 December 2016 I went to see James Schull about a dispute with the city of Fort Worth,Texas because of a sub-division wall that was falling apart and the city was trying to make the residents pay for it's repair.
We talked for about 2 hours and he told me that we need to worry about the city more than the company that sold me the house. He then told me that he wanted $450.00 for a letter that he would write to the city. I agreed to what he was proposing and I gave him my Edward Jones Mastercard and he left the room to make the transaction. He came back to the office and I signed a receipt but I could not see the numbers because he folded it in half and he left again and returned with a copy of a receipt that read to what we agreed, $450.00 with no signature on it.
After about three weeks I got my Mastercard billing statement and I then find out that Attorney at Law James Schull had charged my credit card a total of $5450.00 not the $450.00 that we agreed upon. Needless to say I was livid about that statement and immediately called his office. I talked to Erica(legal secritary) and of course she did not know what I was talking about and I told her to have James call me.
He didn't call me he sent an email and wrote that he took the 5grand because he needed it for the law suite against the company that sold me the house. I then told him that I couldn't not afford that much money at one transaction. He obviously didn't care and he told me that he would not refund the money.
If he would have told me that he would need 5grand plus $450.00 I would have said no thank you and walked away. The main reason I went to him was because the city was threating to fine me and put a lean on my house if the reapirs or replacement wasn't done ASAP. I was terrified of bank ruptcy and that's why I went to see him. So if I was terrified of bank ruptcy why would I give him 5grand and agree to it?
I have been going through a world of hurt since that day and I don't know how much more I can take. I'm a combat wounded disabled veteran and I live on a fixed income. I have filled with the state bar about his conduct and everything is still pending. Attorney at Law James Schull is putting me into bank ruptcy and that was the one thing that I was terrified of when I went to see him and now it looks like I have no choice because Attorney at Law James Schull made the choice for me.
For everyone that is looking for an Attorney stay away from James Schull. His office looks like he's an ambulance chaser and he is very unprofessional and does not care about his clients because it's all about what he wants not his clients needs. He will look you dead in the face and tell you one thing and mean another.
