I bought a Vehicle through tony's Dealership (Budget Car Sales) for 8,150 cash. Although as his ad says, He is Most certainly NOT a Dealer for the people. I was sold a truck "As is" because I was told there is no warranty on anything with 100k miles or more. However I was also Promised that nothing mechanically was wrong with the vehicle, only minor cosmetic fixes. I was also told that the vehicle had been serviced.
Apparently that was not the case, because when I left the dealership I had to put fuel in it becuase the gaslight was on and the gage read on E. No Big Deal, until after I put 30$ in the tank and the light nor gage changed. It still showed I was on E. Annoying but still no major issue. The real issue happended when I was driving home about 45 minutes after offically owning the truck. my truck decided to stop DEAD in its tracks with no warning. The engine jerked, ran hot and completely shut itself off. Luckily there was no cars behind me causing me to wreck. I turned the car on again a few sensors came on (Low Coolant, Check Engine light) and still was riding VERY rough and jerking the whole time.
The oil in the truck was completely black and had not infact been changed despite what I was told. I called the dealership and was told to bring it back for them to look at. Having a toddler and living 40 minutes away made me nervous to try and even get the truck back to the dealer, but with someone following behind we managed. During that communte the truck did the SAME THING again!!! This time it was on a busier road almost causing a serious accident.
When we get to the dealer they take it to their "Shop" which took no longer than 5 minutes assuring me still no major issues. Now they tell me the breaks/rotors do need replaced and there is a leak in a hose but still no major issus. However they would not fix or replace anything.I asked for my money back (I literally had this car less than 24 hours and drove it a total of 2 times with this issue occurring every time) and my toddler will be riding in, I was told I bought the car as is and theres nothing they can do. I also got a second "Opinion" if you will, with a mechanic that listed multiple issues with the engine that are all around going to costs thousands to fix!
This is by far the worst dealer experience I have ever had. It kills me they are more worried about a profit rather than the saftety of their customers/children! I have zero money to put into this truck, nor to purchase another. I am a single mom trying to have a reliable vehicle for myself and child and I get $8150 truck that is an unsafe lemon. I WILL NEVER return here, nor will anyone I associate with. I plan to contact the BBB so that customers like me will think twice before buying a car/truck from here. Just because a place is well known does not mean they sell quality cars/trucks or have the best interest of their customers in mind. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
My future son in law was buying the car, not me!!!!!! I went there to cosign, they were told he needed a co signer, when I got there, I was told to sign my name on the top line, I read it said buyer, so I said I'm not the buyer that I was the cosigner, stated this 3-5 times, then was told oh it's ok, doesn't matter that I sign my name to buyer, that they know who was really buying the car, joke on me. Everything came to me at my address, and if . Was behind , they did it want to help, had a card sent in December for free month, but the time I got the card to give it to them, they couldn't use it. Was told to late!!!!! Now the kicker, we called and spoke with the sales manager to get everything corrected, can't do it, Even told him I was lied to, was told that's what they do to get a sale,. Then was looking at what balance was to pay off, balance was more than when we got the car, even though they have been paying on it since March 2016, called to find out why nothing has been taken off the balance and was told that car wasn't being paid on, that the money was going I to a savings account, I said we didn't agree to that, was told it was in the papers, so people beware, do not do business with them, they are liars and thieves, we the people need to get businesses like this shutdown.
