Let me start by saying I was leased to Kenda Logistics (formerly Kenda Trucking) and this company rips off drivers and owner operators!!! They require you to run dummy log books and run out of route to bypass state weigh scales because their equipment is raggedy and outdated. They run their business out of a double wide mobile home that doesn't even have carpet or tile on the kitchen floor (it was bare plywood), dishes were stacked in the sink and if a pot or pan was needed it wasn't even washed (cringe)!! Their mechanic shop was run by Louis who at the time was just 14 or 15 years old and had NO clue what he was doing!!! They bandaided EVERYTHING because they had NO funds to do correct repairs!! When it was time to be paid they always had an excuse why they couldn't pay you and when they did pay you it was NEVER the correct amount and when you confronted them about it they (Richard (the father, Beverly (the mother), or Virginia (the eldest daughter) would ALWAYS holler & scream at you!! None of their equipment was in Richards name because he had filed bankruptcy numerous times so all their shitty equipment was in Virginia's name At one time they owned a farm just south of St Pete, FL and had illegals working for them and would charge them for food, shelter, water, etc... Virginia was married to an illegal Mexican who was a mechanic/gopher until he got tired of their s**t and allegedly went back to Mexico!! If anyone sees this post, PLEASE PLEASE NEVER go to work for these effin SCUMBAG prices of s**t!!! The youngest sister ( don't remember the name) ran off with Virginia's husband and had a kid by him and then they went back home and they all lived in the same trailer!!! SICK huh???
I worked for about a month driving and never got any pay. They absolutely did not want me to go by any weighstations. They always wanted me to run backroads. Charged me for a busted tire and charged me for wheels coming off drive axle like it was my fault. I bought 2 gallons of oil to put in the truck because it was leaking an never got reimbursed. Yelled at me over everything. Hard to get an adult on the phone. A lot of times kids would answer the phone and would not go get an adult.
