Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co Reviews

HORRIBLE!! I should have known with all bad reviews I read before I insured my finances $65,000 engagement ring with this TRASH COMPANY! She misplaced her ring on Mother's Day and couldn't be found we filed a police report, claim and went through every step they asked for from phone records to text records etc. after emailing and asking them especially a rep named Elle Ray 100X what is going on they denied the claim because of a old record I had which has NOTHING to do with her losing her ring. Now I am assed out $65,000 and this has caused a big burden in my relationship. This company is trash, scam artists! Collect your premium and they look for any little thing not to pay up when a claim is filed. I even hired an attorney now to serve them and send them demand letter. Use any other insurance company either get it through your homeowners plan or search on google stand alone jewelry insurance. I just got it through my farmers rep he brokered it out to someone else he knows for a lot cheaper too. I am not done with JM i am going to give them a review on rip off report as well. This is RIDICULOUS! You get insurance to feel safe and they screw people! Trust me DO NOT USE THEM! Scam!! It's not easy to just go replace a $65,000 rig again. I work hard for my d**n money! Shame on you guys!

This is a hard one to rate. I'd give it 4 stars because they are less expensive than putting it on home or renters insurance. I'd give them one star for the hassle I had to go through to replace a simple diamond wedding band for $1100. IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE CLAIM JM WILL CANCEL YOU. I found out today about this. Our home got robbed and my necklace and earrings got stolen. I forgot to put them in the safe after I took them off. That is politely stated as my fault and they will replace it with police report but they have to cancel me after.

I pay $2500 a year for 200K worth of jewelry with JM and have done so since 2008. $17500. of free money with only one small payout of $1100 for my cheapest piece of jewelry, in 7 years.

I am currently looking for a new company to insure with since I was told I can NOT ever have another claim. With earrings or single rings valued over 43K each I can not afford to pay JM to collect my money and cancel me if I ever get robbed again.

P.S. It is very bad to put rider on home insurance unless it is items are less than 8K in total.

Home insurance is more expensive, after the one claim, home insurance will cancel your total home insurance and then it takes 3 years to get decent home insurance. A claim is like a speeding ticket, it sticks with you for 3 years.
