We are just reading all the reviews after my husband has given him almost 15k cash to redo my husbands every day truck and a project car we were going to sell when redone for a house payment. Now he is pulling the same stuff on my husband with excuses and lies and never answering the phone. I just hope my husband can go tomorrow and get his truck back in running condition and all that it hopefully needs is the paint job done but after reading all we have tonight I am scared what they may have done to his truck. We have a one week old baby and this is not at all what we needed but if this Jason doesn’t care about a man with cancer I know he will give a crap less about us.
July 2016 I was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors told me that I couldnt breath the welding gas, so with that being said I had to find someone to finish welding my C10 chassis ( Im building a pro street C10 back half). I went to four different shops and explained my situation and of all people Jason Mott was the winner. He was very professional a really cool guy. I told him that I would get a trailer so that I could bring the chassis to him so that he could give me a quote, he said "dont bother and that he would come to my house and look at it" he came to my house we agreed on a price of $2700.00 ( with half up front, so I gave him $1500.00) to finish the fabrication on my frame. Now he tells me that he and a couple of his guys will come over and pick up the frame and take to his shop and indeed that they did. You couldnt ask for better service.
Jason had my chassis for about a month and I would go by checking on progress which was zero progress for the most part giving me every excuse in the world why. On one of my visits Jason was showing me several parts ( aluminum heads, pistons, crank, rods....) that were the makings of a Ls408 that a buddy of his baught and decided not to use and wanted to sell. I ask how much, he tells me that the guy paid $8000.00 for the parts and would take $3000.00 for everything. The $3000.00 was given to him, then I ask how much to build the complete engine along with a 4L80E trans. He tells me another $5600.00 for a total of $8600.00 for a bad a*s engine and trans that would be killer in my 67 C-10 trck. And one more time money was given for a grand total of $10100.00,
I cant wait because Im gonna have a killer truck!
As months go by every excuse in the world why the frame, engine, trans are not finished. Fast forward a year and a half I finallly get my frame not finished and what work was done was not what we agreed on. For me to get my chassis back I had to pay another $700.00 so now Im at $10,800.00. On top of a unfinished chassis, he ripped off my QA1 adjustable coil overs and brackets ( $504.00 ) now Im at $11,300.00. I can add another $500.00 for misc. parts that was ripped off from my front suspension.
Now fast forward to the beginnig of 2018, I finally get my Ls408, minus the intake, carb, headers, trans, Jason informes me that I can pick up the rest of the engine the following day. I get home and pulled the valve covers off and just what I thought a junkyard engine, no rocker arms, no push rods, cam burnt up,heads were full of gritt and grime, just a junk engine that he painted to make it look good and it did look good. I finally made contact with him and he basically told me to go get F'd.
Sorry for the long crying on your shoulders letter, but I just want everyone to know about Jason Mott and his giirlfriend she's as sorry as he is.
Ive talked to a lawyer and they want too much money to handle my case ( around $10K ) What in the hell can I do???? I have had many meetings with the Splendora police department and received NO help, have had several meetings with the Conroe police department and received NO help. Hell the police won't return my phone calls.
I know most of you are saying KICK his arse, with this cancer issue, I have no energy or strength so thats out of the question, trust me I would love to ruin his world. If you add up everything including replacing all that Jason ripped off Im out $20,000.00
Im sure Jason will chime in with some BS story, but trust me he's a punk and will take you for everything he can.
